Israeli Official Incitement: January 2022

Israeli Incitement Reports
February 16, 2022

I. Against the Palestinian People

Bezalel Smotrich– Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Twitter[1], 04 January 2022)

“Surrender to terrorism. There is no other way to describe it. A government reliant on terrorism supporters [2] have made us all its hostage.”

Itamar Ben-Gvir – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Twitter[3], 04 January 2022)

“Again, surrendering and bowing. I will soon be arriving at the hospital where the terrorist [4]is. Naftali Bennett and Ayelet Shaked are submitting to threats of the Muslim Brotherhood[5]. Understand how the method works: hunger strike, Arab MKs make the pilgrimage[6], the Shin Bet and police bow. That is how a state that gave up its security looks like. Shame!”

Im Tirzu Movement[7] (Twitter, 04 January 2022)

“It’s sad that a state would rather release a terrorist [8]instead of standing strong when faced with pressure from terrorism supporters[9], terrorist organizations [10] and the EU, who released statements. This is not deterrence for terrorism.”

Keti Shitrit – Member of the Knesset for the Likud (Twitter[11], 04 January 2022)

“Destroying deterrence and bringing shame upon us!”

Michal Woldiger – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Twitter, 02 January 2022)

“The war for Homesh[12] is ideological and of values, but beyond that, it symbolizes the shield and barrier that is Judea and Samaria[13] for the state of Israel, especially northern Hebron. Every terrorist attack[14] will be met with settlements that is how you build our hope and uproot the hope of the saboteurs[15]. We, the entire nationalist right camp will continue to fight for the security of the state of Israel and its citizens.”

Simcha Rothman – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Twitter, 04 January 2022)

“The “10 Degrees to the right” government gives another reward to terrorism[16], and continues its war against the residents[17] of Homesh. Gantz, is this your policy? Wouldn’t it be best to send these soldiers to protect the security in Hizma[18]? Where tens of thousands of Jews[19] risk their lives as they go home?”

Moshe Abutbul – Member of the Knesset for Shas party (Twitter, 02 January 2022)

“This morning I participated in a tour in Homesh along with my friends from the lobby of “Homesh First”[20] (…) I call upon the hypocritical government: If you are so eager to demolish, let’s go to Khan Al-Ahmar [21] first, we are awaiting implementation.”

Itamar Ben Gvir – Member of the Knesset for Religious Zionism party (Twitter, 10 January 2022)

“I arrived at Shimon Hatzadik neighborhood[22] to witness the violence that the Jewish residents[23] experience. As I was leaving, I met Abu Hummus[24], a criminal from Jerusalem, a terrorist who adds fuel to the fire and ignites the neighborhood (…)”

Orit Strock – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Twitter, 19 January 2022)

“Well done to the Jerusalem municipality and the Israeli police for evacuating the property in Shimon Hatzadik neighborhood![25] A good start, which we hope will be followed with better protection to the Jewish residents[26] of the neighborhood, and their property which has been neglected in recent months.”

II.Against President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian Leadership

Simcha Rothman – Member of the Knesset for the Likud party (Twitter, 24 January 2022)

“Another morning during which the government of Bennett, Sa’ar, Shaked, Elkin, Hauzer, and Orbach[27], transfers hundreds of millions of Shekels to the PA[28] against the law, so that Abu Mazen can pay salaries to baby killers[29].  And to the Zombies that mumble “Bibi did that too”. The law for fund deduction was passed and implemented during Netanyahu’s government.  A soft government for terrorists[30] (…)”

Itamar Ber Gvir – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Twitter, 11 January 2022)

“(…) Yasser Arafat, the biggest terrorist – Yes. The social platforms bill [31]I submitted must pass, we must organize things and stop silencing voices (…).”

Keti Shitrit – Member of the Knesset for the Likud party (Twitter, 18 January 2022)

“(…) why are you always on their [32]side? With your lies you are whitewashing illegal Palestinian construction, and you are mainly damaging the Israeli interest and de facto approving the organized takeover of the PA over Area C.”

III. And Against the Indigenous Palestinian Citizens of Israel

Shlomo Karhi – Member of the Knesset for the Likud party (Twitter, 03 January 2022)

“Ahmad Tibi[33], now threatening with a yearlong Intifada and confrontations from the “Palestinian people”, and he and his terrorism supporting friends[34] are still here in the Knesset with the supreme court’s support.”

Galit Distel Atbaryan – Member of the Knesset for the Likud party (Twitter, 04 January 2022)

“Tomorrow at 8am, the state’s right [35] will officially hand over the Negev to the Muslim Brotherhood[36] under the laundered name of “the electricity bill[37]” (…) the Zionist state committed voluntary suicide for Naftali’s greed.”

Benjamin Netanyahu – Opposition leader from the Likud party (Twitter, 04 January 2022)

“Last week, the first Israeli-Palestinian government of Bennett and the Muslim Brotherhood approved the family reunification of 10,000 Palestinians[38]. Today they are adding insult to injury and approving the “Electricity Law[39]” which allows dozens of illegal buildings to be connected to electricity, without a building permit! Shame on you.”

Benjamin Netanyahu – Leader of the Opposition (Likud) (Facebook, 11 January 2022)

“No one will stop the plantation [40]in the land of Israel. I fully support the security forces, and I demand that Bennett immeditly condems the incitment of Ra'am, his senior partner in the governemnt.”

Keti Shitrit – MK for the Likud (Facebook, 11 January 2022)

“This is what loss of control looks like! A trivial Zionist event of planing trees in the state of Israel became a security event.[41] It was always like that, you give them [42]a finger (electricity[43]) and they want the whole hand (The Negev).  I support the security forces in their struggle against the anarchist rioters[44].”

Nir Barkat – Member of the Knesset for the Likud party (Twitter, 12 January 2022)

“The government’s decision to stop the plantation in the Negev is a surrender to terrorism![45] I came to the Negev, along with former police commander of the Jerusalem district, Yoram Halevi, to support the security forces and the JNF[46] people, and to send the message that dealing with rioters from the Bedouin Diasporas[47] will be done with an iron hand! The government has forsaken the Negev to the Islamic Movement and terrorism factors[48].”

Avi Dichter- Member of the Knesset for the Likud party (Twitter, 11 January 2022)

“Freeing the Negev from criminals[49] who claim state land will also be done by planting trees, both in the Negev and the rest of the country. On this Tu B'Shevat [50]as well, I planted a tree with my friends from the Likud in the land of Israel. Thank you JNF for allowing us to blossom the wilderness.”

Simcha Rothman – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Facebook[51], 09 January 2022)

“Those who don’t care for the people of Israel, also don’t care about the land of Israel or the Torah of Israel. Those who establish a government with terrorism supporters[52] won’t know how to fight COVID, and won’t know how to protect the citizens of Israel who are being attacked daily.”

Simcha Rothman– Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Facebook, 09 January 2022)

“Half a year since the citizenship bill[53] passed, not a single Palestinian entered the State of Israel. All the arguments that “the opposition is damaging Israel’s security” have been debunked. The opposition, and MK Amichai Chikli[54] who also opposed the law, kept the state as a fortified wall. On Sunday, a citizenship bill I drafted will be presented to the Ministers’ committee, which includes demands for quotas and transparency.”

Ofir Katz – Member of the Knesset for the Likud party (Twitter, 11 January 2022)

“We said that this is the price, we alerted to what happens when you form a government with terrorism supporters[55]. Tonight, we saw live incitement that was not even condemned by the PM[56]. If members of the government has an ounce of values left, they will understand the danger the state of Israel is in. Terrorism [57]will not deter us from planting trees in all parts of the country.”

Itamar Ben Gvir – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Twitter, 11 January 2022)

"Riots [58] began in the Negev. I am praying that the Israeli police does not repeat the failure of Operation "Defensive Shield[59]" : we must respond with determination and resolute! We can’t “contain” murder attempts."

Ad Kan[60] (Twitter, 11 January 2022)

“These two images say it all: for the Jews they demolish[61], for Arabs they allow them to take over the land and breach Israel’s sovereignty. This is not innocent, this is not lack of information, it is clear to everyone that they are working hard to establish a terror state[62] in the heart of Israel.(…)”

Itamar Ben Gvir – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Twitter, 19 January 2022)

“Continuing to tell terrorists and supporters of terrorism the whole truth in their face.”[63]

Itamar Ben Gvir – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Twitter, 23 January 2022)

“To see and not believe an MK[64] who is currently in the Knesset raising the flag of the PA[65]!
When I say they are total enemy supporters, this is what I’m talking about. Go to Syria, you terrorist!”

Regavim[66] (Twitter, 24 January 2022)

“Terror-supporting MK Abou Shahadeh, who encouraged rioters in Lod and Akko last year, today complained that “Regavim dictates policy on both sides of the Green Line (…)”

[38] Israel controls the Palestinian population registry, preventing Palestinian family reunifications for the benefit of its colonial-settlement enterprise. The number of IDs given by the Israeli government so far is less than 10,000, with all of them going to the Occupied Palestinian Territory, not Israel. According to signed agreements Israel was supposed to give approximately 50,000 IDs over the past 12 years. This is yet another obligation Israel has failed to implement.
