The following summary tables and overview of events survey hostile Israeli activities during the period 01 September 2016 to 30 September 2016. The report includes a summary table of events, classified by type, throughout the West Bank and Gaza Strip, in addition to a comparative table surveying events over the past three months. The survey is compiled from the Daily Situation Reports of the Palestinian Monitoring Group (PMG) of the Negotiations Affairs Department (NAD) of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). The PMG monitors ground conditions in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, including Israeli and Palestinian violations. The information reported through the PMG process represents data available at the time of distribution only.

5 September 2016: Israeli forces raided Shu'fat camp in Jerusalem city, stormed and searched several homes and opened fire towards a vehicle for allegedly attempting to run over several Israeli soldiers and as a result killed Mustafa Talal Nimer (27 years old) {A resident of Anata town},Ali Tayseer Nimer (25 years old) {A resident of Anata town} then detained 3 others. 9 September 2016:  Israeli forces positioned behind the Green line opened fire towards several residents located in the vicinity of east Al-Buriej camp as they were participating in demonstrations protesting the Israeli Military and settler attack on Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and as a result killed Abdel-Rahman Ahmad Al-Badagh (18 years old). 10 September 2016:  An Israeli settler vehicle travelling along the bypass road near Um Rakaba area located in Al-Khader town ran over the child Lama Marwan Mohammad Musa (6 years old) {a resident of Al-Khader town} and as a result killed her. 15 September 2016:   Israeli forces opened fire as they stormed and searched the home of Abdel-Fattah Ahamd Al-Sarahin and as a result killed his son Mohammad during their raid into Beit Ulla town. 16 September 2016:  Israeli forces opened fire towards and killed Sa'id Amro {28 years old} {A journalist and Jordanian citizen} near Bab Al-Amoud area in the old city of Jerusalem. 16 September 2016:   Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of "Kiryat Arba'" settlement located in east Hebron city opened fire towards and killed Faris Musa Al-Khadour (18 years old) {A resident of Bani Na'im town}. 16 September 2016:   Israeli forces positioned in Tel Al-Rumeda neighborhood in the old city of Hebron opened fire towards and killed the child: Mohammad Thalji Kayed Al-Rajabi {16 years old}. 17 September 2016:    Israeli forces positioned near Al-Rahma mosque in Tel Al-Rumeda neighborhood in the old city of Hebron opened fire towards and killed Hatem Abdel-Hafith Al-Shaloudi {26 years old}. 19 September 2016:  Israeli forces opened fire towards and killed 2 residents {including a child}: Ameer Jamal Al-Rajabi (17 years old) and Muhanad Jameel Ahmad Al-Rajabi (21 years old) near Al-Ibrahimi mosque in the old city of Hebron. 20 September 2016: Israeli forces opened fire towards and killed the child : Issa Salem Mahmoud Tariya (16 years old) near the entrance of Bani Na'im town. 25 September 2016: On the morning of September 25th 2016, Yasser Thiyab Hamawnah {A resident of Ya'bad town in Jenin district} died of a stroke in "Rimon" prison due to medical negligence by Israeli Prison officials. 30 September 2016: Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Qalandiya checkpoint opened fire towards and killed Naseem Omran Abu Mayzier {28 years old) {A resident of Kafr Aqab village} {who allegedly attempted to stab an Israeli Soldier} during confrontations near the checkpoint.

Attacks	186	71	257	A total of 257 attacks were reported to have taken place during the month of September 2016 (186 in the West Bank and 71 in the Gaza Strip). The Israeli military carried out 89 attacks during confrontations between the Israeli military and Palestinians, 5 during raids into Palestinian Populated areas, 54 attacks from Israeli military posts on civilian homes and property and 81 from Military checkpoints towards Palestinian residents and vehicle. In addition, Israeli navy vessels carried out 27 attacks on Palestinian fishermen and territory and Israeli aircrafts carried out 1 attacks on civilian targets, 1 from Settler Attack
Raids	489	5	494	The Israeli military carried out a total of 494 raids in Palestinian residential areas during the month of September 2016, including 489 in the West Bank and 5 in the Gaza Strip. The majority of Israeli military raids were reported to have taken place in the districts of Jerusalem (76); Ramallah (54); Jenin (34); Tubas (5); Tulkarem (40); Qalqiliya (29); Nablus (73); Salfit (26); Jericho (3); Bethlehem (61); Hebron (88); North Gaza (1); Central Gaza (1) Khan Yunis (2) and Rafah (1).
Arrests	413	8	421	During the month of September 2016, the Israeli military arrested 421 Palestinians (413 the West Bank and 8 in the Gaza Strip). The majority of arrests took place in the districts of Jerusalem (101); Ramallah (43); Jenin (28); Tubas (11); Tulkarem (19); Qalqiliya (4); Nablus (44); Salfit (11); Jericho (8); Bethlehem (45); Hebron (99). North Gaza (1) and Central Gaza (7) Among those arrested by the Israeli military were: 36 children, 4 women, 6 fishermen, 5 University Students, and 6 Security Force officers.
Closure of Crossing Points	0	153	153	The Israeli military completely closed crossing points into the Gaza Strip, including access points within the Green Line, on 104 occasions during the month of September 2016 and The Israeli military closed crossing points within the Green Line on 49 occasions.

Provocation of Palestinian Forces	4	0	4	The Israeli military provoked or harassed Palestinian Customs Police officers on 2 Occasions and Palestinian National Security forces on 2 occasions. On September 6th 2016:  Israeli forces temporarily detained a Palestinian Customs Police vehicle during their raid into Tulkarem city. On September 13th 2016: Israeli forces positioned at a checkpoint near Za'tara junction temporarily seized a Bus carrying 18 members of the Palestinian National Security Forces as it was travelling to the Main Headquarters in Bethlehem and temporarily detained its occupants then released them at 19:00. On September 18th 2016: Israeli forces positioned near Ras Kar Kar village temporarily seized a Palestinian Customs Police Force vehicle while on Duty and allowed them to pass through at 15:05. On September 25th 2016: Israeli forces summoned Mohammad Mahmoud Husniya {A National Security Force Officer} to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning during their raid into Al-Aroub camp.

Home Occupation	9	0	9	Israeli Forces occupied 9 homes during the Month of September 2016: September 4th 2016: Israeli Forces occupied Tawfiq Shakir Badari's home and converted its rooftop into a military post during their raid into Ya'bad town. September 5th 2016:  Israeli forces occupied 2 home owned by Yusef Al-Biek and Al-Mad'o Abu Hamada and converted their rooftops into military posts during their raid into Nablus.  September 5th 2016: Israeli forces occupied Nassar Radwan Al-Safadi' home and converted its rooftop into a military post during their raid into Orif village. September 12th 2016: Israeli forces occupied the rooftop of a home owned by Thiyab Mohammad Mahmoud Al-Amour then converted it into a military post during their raid into Teqou' town. September 15th 2016: Israeli forces occupied the home of Mazen Kamal Mustafa Qarsh as they stormed Al-Sa'ayda neighborhood in Jerusalem claiming that the home belongs to Israeli settlers. September 23rd 2016: Israeli forces occupied the rooftop of Al-Bashir building and converted it into a military post during their raid into Nablus city. September 27th 2016: Israeli forces occupied a home owned by Ra'fat Zakarna then converted its rooftop into a military post during their raid into Qabatiya town. September 28th 2016: Israeli forces occupied the rooftop of Yasser Al-Dameiri home and converted it into a military post during their raid into Huwara town.
Home Demolitions	15	0	15	During the month of September 2016, the Israeli military demolished Palestinian homes and residential tents, which consisted of the following:  On September 6th 2016: Israeli Military forces stormed Jerusalem city and forced the resident: Nabih Nabiya Al-Basati to demolish his home {approximately 60 square meters} and imposed a financial penalty for allegedly not having a construction license. On September 7th 2016: The Israeli Military demolished a tent and a storage Den {Baracks} owned by Dayf Allah Abed Odeh Al-Faqir and also demolished a tent owned by Yusef Dayf Allah Abed Odeh Al-Faqir during their raid into Al-Aqaba village. On September 16th 2016: Israeli forces stormed Jabal Al-Mukabir neighbourhood in Jerusalem and forced Murad Ja'abis to demolish his home {based an order issued by the occupation municipality} for allegedly being built without a license and imposed a financial penalty amounting to 8000 NIS. On September 20th 2016:  Israeli forces stormed Beit Hanina town demolished a home owned by Hassan Abdallah Alqa for allegedly being built without a license On September 20th 2016: Israeli forces stormed Al-Thuri neighbourhood in Jerusalem and forced Suhail Fadil Abu Irmeleh to demolish his home for allegedly being built without a license. On September 27th 2016: Israeli forces demolished 2 buildings {consisting of 2 floors and 4 apartments {180 square meters} owned by Jaser Abu Al-Hawa, Tayseer Abu Al-Hawa and Ahmad Abu Al-Hawa for allegedly being built without a license during their raid into Al-Khaleh area located in Al-Tur neighbourhood in Jerusalem city . On September 27th 2016:  Israeli forces demolished a home owned by Sa'ed Al-Qasas in Beit Safafa village for allegedly being built without a license. On September 27th 2016: Israeli forces stormed Khirbet Al-Tel Al-Hama area located in the North Jordan Valley area and demolished 5 residential tents owned by Mahmoud Awad Ayoub, Rasmi Mahmoud Ayoub, Hani Mahmoud Ayoub, Waleed Mohammad Ayoub and Bassam Mahmoud Ayoub. On September 28th 2016:  Israeli forces stormed Beit Hanina town and forced Imad Jaber to demolish his home and fining him for allegedly not having a valid construction license. On September 28th 2016: Israeli forces demolished a water well network owned by Mohammad Ali Ismail Al-Jabour in Um Neir area located near Susiya village in east Yatta town. On September 29th 2016:  Israeli forces stormed Tablas area in Hizma town and demolished a concrete fence surrounding a plot of land owned by Firas Majed Salah-AlDeen and then dug a trench to prevent residents from entering or using the land.

Attacks on Religious Sites	21	0	21	During the month of September 2016, Israeli settlers escorted by Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers. Israeli forces closed Lions Gate area {A Main gate entrance leading into Al-Aqsa mosque compound} in the old city of Jerusalem opened fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents attempting to enter Al-Aqsa mosque compound { After the killing of Sa'id Amro {28 years old} (A journalist and Jordanian citizen). Israeli Police officers escorted The Head of Israeli Antiquities Authority into Al-Marwani Mosque in Al-Aqsa Mosque compound as he took photographs of the area.
Assault on Education Sector	2	0	2	On September 27th 2016, Israeli forces stormed Abu Al-Nuwar Bedouin community located in east Al-Eizariya town and demolished a class room {used by 3rd grade class} of the secondary school of the community for allegedly being built without a license. On September 7th 2016, Israeli forces escorting employees of the Ministry of Antiquities stormed Al-Qadisiya school located in the old city of Jerusalem and prevented renovation work to be done on the structure.
Settlement Activity	1	0	1	On September 21st 2016, Israeli forces installed 3 Mobile homes in “Migola” settlement located in the north Jordan valley in an attempt to expand the settlement.

Killings:

 A total of 13 killings were reported in the month of September 2016 which consisted of the following:

Injuries

A total of 51 injuries were reported in the month of September 2016 (40 Palestinians in the West Bank and 11 in the Gaza Strip). Injuries included 10 children, a woman, a fisherman and a Journalist.

 

Detentions

During the month of September 2016, the Israeli military arrested 421 Palestinians (413 the West Bank and 8 in the Gaza Strip). The majority of arrests took place in the districts of Jerusalem (101); Ramallah (43); Jenin (28); Tubas (11); Tulkarem (19); Qalqiliya (4); Nablus (44); Salfit (11); Jericho (8); Bethlehem (45); Hebron (99). North Gaza (1) and Central Gaza (7) among those arrested by the Israeli military were: 36 children, 4 women, 6 fishermen, 5 University Students, and 6 Security Force officers.

 

Closure

Especially on Fridays, the Israeli military continues to intensify restrictions at checkpoints located at the entrances of Jerusalem, and to restrict entrance to the Al Aqsa Mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem, preventing worshippers from accessing the Mosque. At the Qalandiya checkpoint north of Jerusalem, the Israeli military continues to prevent PNA registered civilian vehicles from crossing the checkpoint towards Ar Ram and Qalandiya as well as Dahiyat al Bareed. The checkpoint is overcrowded daily, particularly during rush hours, due to intensified restrictions and search measures applied by Israeli troops. During the month of January the Israeli military also continued to intensify restrictions at the Tayasir checkpoint and Al Hamra junction checkpoint leading to the Jordan Valley area, only allowing access to civilians whose IDs indicate District of Jericho residence or others holding special access permits. In addition, restrictions were intensified and civilian access was obstructed at the Za’tara junction checkpoint (separating the northern and central West Bank districts) as well as at the As Sawahira ash Sharqiya (the ‘Container’) checkpoint (separating the central and southern West Bank districts).

 The Israeli military installed 438 flying checkpoints in September (compared with 485 in August and 433 in July) and as a result restricted the free access and movement of residents, merchant supplies and agricultural goods.

Israeli Forces occupied 9 homes during the Month of September 2016:

• September 4^th 2016: Israeli Forces occupied Tawfiq Shakir Badari's home and converted its rooftop into a military post during their raid into Ya'bad town.

A total of 95 incidents of destruction and confiscation of Palestinian public and private property by Israeli settlers and Israeli forces were reported in September 2016 (66 in the West Bank and 3 in the Gaza Strip).

 

Attack on Public and Private property occurred as follows per District:

Jerusalem:

• On September 2nd 2016, Israeli forces confiscated 2 vehicles owned by Jawad Siyam and Hussien Al-Zir as they stormed Silwan neighborhood.
• On September 15^th 2016, Israeli forces confiscated surveillance camera footage and a vehicle as they stormed a vehicle repair shop during their raid into Hizma town.
• On September 17^th 2016, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Al-Eizariya town and as a result left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation and set fire to a clothing shop owned by Wissam Amtour during which Palestinian civil defense forces were able to put out the fire.
• On September 27^th 2016, Israeli forces demolished a home owned by Sa'ed Al-Qasas in Beit Safafa village for allegedly being built without a license.
• On September 29th 2016, Israeli forces stormed Tablas area in Hizma town and demolished a concrete fence surrounding a plot of land owned by Firas Majed Salah-AlDeen and then dug a trench to prevent residents from entering or using the land.

Ramallah & Al-Bireh:

• On September 22^nd 2016, Israeli forces raided Al-Bireh city, stormed and searched a building {under construction}, detained a resident, confiscated surveillance camera footage from Abed Al-Shini's home.
• On September 29th 2016, Israeli forces confiscated a vehicle owned by Abdel-Hadi Ameen Salah Hamad during their raid into Silwad town.

Jenin:

• On September 7^th 2016, Israeli forces demolished a livestock Den {used to house sheep} owned by Deif Allah Abed Odeh Al-Faqeer and demolished a baracks owned by Jaber Hamdan Hussein Jaber during their raid into Al-Aqaba village.
• On September 26th 2016, Israeli forces confiscated equipment from a steel mill owned by Ahmad Mohammad Arafat Assaf during their raid into Jenin city.
• On September 26^th 2016, Israeli forces set fire to a merchant shop owned by Mo'ayad Zakarnah during their raid into Qabatiya town.

Tubas:  

• On September 2nd 2016, Israeli forces confiscated a tractor owned by Adel Awwad during their raid into a Bedouin community in Khirbeit Um Al-Jamal located in the North Jordan valley.
• On September 27^th 2016, Israeli forces demolished 10 structures consisting of Dens and tents used to house livestock owned by Mahmoud Awad Ayoub, Rasmi Mohammad Ayoub, Hani Mohammad Ayoub, Waleed Mohammad Ayoub and Bassam Mahmoud Ayoub and also demolished  several Solar Panels donated by the International Red Crescent Society.
• On September 29th 2016, Israeli forces temporarily evicted 18 families from their homes in Hamsa Al-Foqa village located in the North Jordan Valley from 06:00 until 11:00 on September 29th &30th 2016 for alleged military training in the area.

Tulkarem:

• On September 23^rd 2016, Israeli forces positioned at ""Enav" checkpoint confiscated a vehicle owned by Ashraf Riyad Saredi after detaining 2 residents who were in the vehicle.

Qalqiliya:

• On September 4^th 2016, Israeli forces uprooted 10 Olive trees on agricultural land in Ras Attiya village.
• On September 9^th 2016, a group of Israeli settlers stormed Jinsafout village and set fire to agricultural land owned by Abdel-Ghafer Sabarat, Abdallah Al-Shiekh and Abdel-Sa'ed Bashir and as result destroyed 15 Olive trees.
• On September 22^nd 2016, 8 Olive trees owned by Na'im Abdel-Qadder were destroyed after a tear gas grenade canister exploded during clashes as Israeli forces raided Jayyous town.

Nablus:

• On September 1st 2016, Israeli forces set fire to a vegetable and Fruit shop owned by Kamal Nimer Al-Terawi during their raid into Nablus city {as mentioned in the previous report}.
• On September 1^st 2016, Israeli forces confiscated a Bulldozer owned by Raslan Mohammad Hanini {A resident of Beit Farouq town} as he was leveling a plot of land in Beit Dajjan village in Area C {which is under Israeli Military and Administrative control}.
• On September 4^th 2016, Israeli forces closed several businesses located along the main road near "Yitzhar" settlement during their raid into Huwara town.
• On September 12^th 2016, Israeli forces damaged the steel entrance gate of a public park during their raid into Qusra village.
• On September 21^st 2016, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Khirbeit Al-Yanoun area located in east Aqraba town then set fire to it and withdrew under the protection of Israeli forces.
• On September 21^st 2016, confrontations between residents and Israeli forces in Nablus city caused damage to a vehicle owned by Ala-Al-Deen Zuhier Dweikat and set fire "Sae'd Al-Din shops" located near the Fruit market in the city.
• On September 23^rd 2016, Israeli forces positioned at ""Enav" checkpoint confiscated a vehicle owned by Ashraf Riyad Saredi after detaining 2 residents who were in the vehicle.
•  On September 1st 2016, Israeli forces confiscated surveillance camera footage from a supermarket owned by Mohammad Ragheb Al-Terawi during their raid into Nablus city {as mentioned in the previous report}.

• On September 23^rd 2016, Israeli forces confiscated surveillance camera footage from a Supermarket {Al-Ein} and Al-Mustaqbal furniture store during their raid into Nablus city.
• On September 26^th 2016, Israeli forces demolished a livestock Den owned by Saed Abu Jish for allegedly being built without a license during their raid into Beit Dajjan village.
• On September 26^th 2016, Israeli settlers positioned near the entrance of “Karni Shamron” settlement shattered the windshields of 12 vehicles owned by construction worker employed inside the settlement.

Jericho:

• On September 3^rd 2016, Israeli forces positioned at Allenby bridge temporarily detained Ahmad Assad Shari {A resident of Sir Village in Qalqilya district} then released him after confiscating 7500 JD {Jordanian Dinars}.

Bethlehem:

• On September 1st 2016, Israeli forces confiscated a cellular telephone owned by Mu'tasim Ayoub Ismail Jaber after storming and searching his home during their raid into Beit Jallah town.
• On September 6th 2016, Israeli forces confiscated a bulldozer owned by Hassan Salah as he was leveling a plot of agricultural land owned by Aliyan family in Ain Amdan area located in Beiter village.
• On September 7^th 2016, Israeli forces confiscated surveillance camera footage from a restaurant during their rai9d into Beit Jalla city.
• On September 28^th 2016, Israeli forces confiscated several plant shop tools after levelling the shop in Husan village owned by Ibrahim Jaber Hamamrah (A resident of Husan village).

Hebron:

• On September 4th 2016, Israeli forces confiscated a vehicle owned by Fadi Al-Faraj's {A Palestinian Killed by Israeli forces} during their raid into Sa'ir town.
• On September 6^th 2016, Israeli forces broke open the main doors as they stormed and searched a merchant shop owned by Tarik Mahmoud Al-Hadoush during their raid into Surif town.
• On September 8^th 2016, Israeli forces levelled a plot of land near the wall gate located in West Beit Ula town and uprooted approximately 800 Olive and Almond  trees planted on approximately 40 Dunums of agricultural land and also demolished 2 water wells owned by Bassam Hamdan Al-Adam, Suliman Mohammad Al-Adam, Yasser Ali Al-Adam and Mahmoud Khalid Al-Adam.
• On September 15^th 2016, Israeli forces confiscated construction material and equipment owned by Zuhier Abdul-Hamid Abu Qufsha during their raid into Khirbeit Al-Khaldiya area located in east Yatta town.
• On September 19^th 2016, Israeli forces confiscated a financial amount of 1000 NIS after storming the home of Rashed Al-Atrash during their arid into Hebron city.
• On September 21^st 2016, Israeli forces confiscated a computer from a house owned by Ahmad Yacoub Abu Markhiya during their raid into Hebron city.
• On September 21^st 2016, Israeli forces blew open {using explosives} the main entrances of 2 store owned by Hamza Al-Rajabi and Ahmad Al-Rajabi during their raid into Hebron city.
• On September 25^th 2016, Israeli forces stormed Al-Daqiqa area located in south east Yatta town and leveled a nature reserve {which was planted with approximately 5000 trees with the help and funding of several International NGO's 8 years ago} and also destroyed several water collection wells and barbed wire fences surrounding the area.
• On September 26th 2016, Israeli forces confiscated steel Mill equipment owned by Fayez Osama Sa'adeh Al-Thahriya town.
• On September 27^th 2016, Israeli forces demolished 4 "Rain water collection" wells {used for irrigation purposes} owned by Ziyad Mahmoud Shaladah, Ahmad Mohammad Shaladah, Ibrahim Mohammad Shaladah and Nabeel Shihadeh Shaladah in Khirbeit Jorat Al-Khalil area located in east Sa'ir town.
• On September 28th 2016, Israeli forces confiscated 51000 JD and 1 Kilogram of Gold from Mohammad Suliman Zabidat home during their raid into Bani Na'im town.

North Gaza:

• On September 6^th 2016, Israeli forces launched tank artillery shells towards the western area of Beit Hanoun town and as a result damaged 3 homes owned by : Rasheed Suhiel Al-Shanti , Ibrahim Hassan Al-Ashqar and Atta Hassan Shabbat.

Central Gaza:

• On September 8^th 2016, Israeli forces confiscated a fishing boat owned by Abdel-Mu'ti Ibrahim Al-Habil off the shores of Al-Nusairat camp.

26 incidents of Settler violence occurred during the month of September 2016 including:

Jerusalem:

• On September 3rd, 2016, a group of Israeli settlers raided El Rahmeh cemetery near by the east side of Aqsa mosque located in the old city of Jerusalem.

Ramallah:

• On September 23^rd 2016, a group of Israeli settlers positioned near Al-Taybeh town junction {located along the main road connecting Ramallah and Jericho Districts} assaulted Abdel-Qadder Mahmoud Hussein and as a result left him hospitalized with contusions.

Jenin:

• At dawn on September 25th 2016, Israeli settlers stormed the area of "Tarsella" settlement which was previously abandoned and chanted anti arab slogans.

Nablus:

• On September 5^th 2016, Israeli settlers stormed the south area of Burin village and set fire to agricultural land owned by Ali Al-Zaban.
• On September 8^th 2016, a group of Israeli settlers positioned near “Yitsahar” settlement junction located in North Huwara town stoned residents and vehicles travelling along the main road leading to Jit Village junction in Qalqiliya district.
• On September 14^th 2016, Israeli settlers stormed Al-Masaudiya area located near Burqa village then withdrew under the protection of Israeli Military forces at 11:10.
• On September 15^th 2016, Israeli settler stormed agricultural land in the east area of Burin village, stoned residents and vehicles during which Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents as they attempted to prevent the settler attack.
• On September 20^th 2016, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Khirbeit Al-Yanoun area located in east Aqraba town then set fire to it and withdrew under the protection of Israeli forces.
• On September 21^st 2016, Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Yatma village located near "Rahliem" settlement and stole Olive Harvest then withdrew at 17:00.
• On September 25^th 2016, group of Israeli settlers stormed Burin village and set fire to several stacks of wood used for construction of a home owned by Bashir Dakhil Eid then withdrew under the protection of Israeli forces during which Palestinian Civil Defense forces were able to extinguish the fire.
• On September 25^th 2016, a group of Israeli settlers driving vehicles raided Nablus city as they attempted to storm Joseph’s tomb then were chased away from the area by Palestinian Police officers guarding the Tomb.
• On September 29^th 2016, a group of Israeli settlers stormed Khillat Al-Tufah area located between Burin and Madma villages and set fire to agricultural land and stormed agricultural land in Yatma village and attempted to steal Olive harvest.

Tubas:

• On September 22nd 2016, an Israeli settler positioned near "Migola" settlement located in the North Jordan valley area installed a mobile home and a livestock barn on a plot of land owned by local residents in an attempt to confiscate the plot of land.
• On September 25^th 2016, an Israeli settler security guard positioned at "Migola" settlement located near Bardala village in the North Jordan valley stormed a home and a barn, temporarily abducted Sa'id Hamoudeh and his 4 children then were released at 18:50.

Qalqiliya:

• On September 9^th 2016, a group of Israeli settlers stormed Jinsafout village and set fire to agricultural land owned by Abdel-Ghafer Sabarat, Abdallah Al-Shiekh and Abdel-Sa'ed Bashir and as result destroyed 15 Olive trees.
• On September 26^th 2016, Israeli settlers positioned near "Karni Shamron" settlement shattered the windows of 12 vehicles owned by Palestinian workers.
• On September 26^th 2016, Israeli settlers positioned near Kafr Lafiq village stoned residents and vehicles travelling along the main road connecting Qalqilya and Nablus.
• On September 26th 2016, an Israeli settler driving a vehicle near "Karni Shamron" settlement opened fire towards several residents after the alleged stoning of his vehicle.

Salfit:

• On September 16^th 2016, 2 armed Israeli settlers stormed Wadi Qana area and proceeded to provoke and terrorize residents in the area.

Bethlehem:

• On September 8^th 2016, an Israeli settler vehicle travelling near "Kafar Itsiyon" settlement junction ran over Hussein Daoud Musa {65 years old) {A resident of Al-Khader} and as a result left him hospitalized with contusions.
• On September 10^th 2016, Israeli settler vehicle travelling along the by pass road near Um Rakaba area located in Al-Khader town ran over the child Lama Marwan Mohammad Musa (6 years old) {A resident of Al-Khader town} and as a result killed her.

Hebron:

• On September 3^rd 2016, Israeli settlers attacked a home owned by Al-Bayas family located along Al-Shuhada road in the old city of Hebron then withdrew under the protection of Israeli forces.
• On September 12^th 2016, an Israeli settler bus travelling along road (60) in south Hebron city ran over 2 residents including a child: Ahmad Ziyad Daoud (16 years old) and Eyad Ziyad Daoud leaving them hospitalized with contusions.
• On September 17^th 2016, a group of armed Israeli settlers stormed Al-Tuwani village located near “Magon" settlement in east Yatta town and attacked the home of Musa Al-Raba'i then withdrew under the protection of Israeli Military forces.
• On September 19^th 2016, Israeli settlers stormed Susiya village located in east Yatta town and verbally abused several residents.

Closure of Crossing Points

The Israeli military completely closed crossing points into the Gaza Strip, including access points within the Green Line, on 153 occasions during the month of September. The Israeli military closed crossing points within the Green Line on 104 occasions. It opened Beit Hanun (Erez) Crossing for 25 days for previously-Coordinated humanitarian cases and foreign nationals and Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing for 21 days for transportation of food supplies, humanitarian aid, and cooking gas. In addition to allowing in animal feed, construction cargo designated for UNRWA and internationally-funded projects was transported through the Crossing. Sufa Crossing was closed throughout the month. On the other hand, the Israeli authorities have continued to unilaterally close Ash Shuja’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Israeli authorities has also continued to completely close Al Muntar (Karnei) Commercial Crossing.

 

The Israeli military closed international crossing points on 49 occasions. Rafah Crossing was opened 11 days during this month; Yasser Arafat International Airport has remained closed since the outbreak of the second Intifada.
