The following summary tables and overview of events survey hostile Israeli activities during the period 01 May 2018 to May 31 2018. The report includes a summary table of events, classified by type, throughout the West Bank and Gaza Strip, in addition to a comparative table surveying events over the past three months. The survey is compiled from the Daily Situation Reports of the Palestinian Monitoring Group (PMG) of the Negotiations Affairs Department (NAD) of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). The PMG monitors ground conditions in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, including Israeli and Palestinian violations. The information reported through the PMG process represents data available at the time of distribution only.

Killings
A total of 85 residents were killed by Israeli forces during the month of May 2018 {4 in the West Bank and 81 in Gaza}:
- May 3rd 2018: Anas Shawqi Abu Aser {19 years old} {a resident of Gaza city} died of critical injuries sustained during clashes in east Gaza city on April 27th 2018.
- May 6th 2018: Israeli forces killed 2 residents: Bahaa Abdel Rahman Qadih {23 years old}, and Mohammed Khaled Abu Rida {20 years old} during clashes in in east Khuz'a town located in east Khan Yunis city.
- May 11th 2018: Israeli forces killed Jaber Salem Abdallah Abu Mustafa {38 years old} {A resident of Khan Yunis city} after opening fire towards demonstrators during clashes in east Khuz'a town located in east Khan Yunis city.
- May 11th 2018: Hani Fayez Al-Adrabah {23 years old}{a resident of Beit Ula town} died of serious injuries sustained after he was run over by a Israeli settler vehicle along bypass road 35 near Hahul town {as mentioned in the previous report}.
- May 12th 2018: the child Jamal Abdel-Hadi Mohammad Afanah {15 years old} {A resident of Rafah city} died of serious injuries sustained after Israeli forces opened fire towards him during clashes in east Rafah city on May 11th 2018.
- May 14th 2018: Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Beit Hanun town in commemorating the 70th Anniversary of Al-Nakba {Catastrophe} and protesting against the moving of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and as a result killed 1 resident.
- May 14th 2018: Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Jabaliya town in commemorating the 70th Anniversary of Al-Nakba {Catastrophe} and protesting against the moving of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and as a result killed 5 residents.
- May 14th 2018: Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Al-Buriej camp in commemorating the 70th Anniversary of Al-Nakba {Catastrophe} and protesting against the moving of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and as a result killed 6 residents.
- May 14th 2018: Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Gaza city in commemorating the 70th Anniversary of Al-Nakba {Catastrophe} and protesting against the moving of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and as a result killed 29 residents.
- May 14th 2018: : Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Khuz'a town located in east Khan Yunis city in commemorating the 70th Anniversary of Al-Nakba {Catastrophe} and protesting against the moving of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and as a result killed 17 residents
- May 14th 2018: Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Rafah city in commemorating the 70th Anniversary of Al-Nakba {Catastrophe} and protesting against the moving of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and as a result killed 3 residents.
- May 15th 2018: Israeli forces positioned in Al-Duwarat area in Sa'ir town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators for alleged stoning and as a result killed Idris Shaker Jabarin {58 years old} {A resident of Sa'ir town}who suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
- May 15th 2018: Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Al-Buriej camp in commemorating the 70th Anniversary of Al-Nakba {Catastrophe} and protesting against the moving of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and as a result killed 2 residents {including a child}: Bilal Badr Hussein Al-Ashram {17 years old}, and Nasser Ahmed Mahmoud Ghorab {51 years old}.
- May 19th 2018: Mu'en Abdel-Hamid Al-Sa'i {58 years old} {A resident of Al-Shata' camp in Gaza city} died of serious injuries sustained after being wounded by the Israeli Military during demonstrations in east Gaza on May 14th 2018.
- May 19th 2018: Ahmad Abed Ramadan Abu Samrah {20 Years old} {A resident of Jabaliya town} after being wounded by the Israeli Military during clashes in east Jabliya town in North Gaza district on May 14th 2018.
- May 19th 2018: Mohammad Mazen Aliyan {20 years old}{A residents of Al-Nussirat camp} after being wounded by the Israeli Military during clashes in east Al-Buriej camp in Central Gaza on May 14th 2018.
- May 20th 2018: Azziz Musa Salem Awisat {53 years old} {A Palestinian detainee sentenced to 30 year in Israeli prisons}{A resident of Jabal Al-Mukabir neighborhood in Jerusalem city} died after he was hospitalized for internal bleeding after he was assaulted by Israeli forces {for allegedly pouring hot water onto a Israeli Police officer} in "Ashil" prison on May 2nd 2018 after which he was transported from Al-Ramlah prison hospital to Assaf Harofeh hospital after his condition deteriorated he was then admitted to Tel Hoshmir hospital then was later returned to Assaf Harofeh hospital where he died after hospital officials refused to keep him in the hospital.
- May 23rd 2018: : the child: Uday Akram Mohammad Abu Khalil {15 years old}{A resident of Ein Sinya village} died of serious injuries sustained after he was wounded during clashes with Israeli forces near the North entrance of Al-Bireh city on May 16th 2018.
- May 24th 2018: Ahmad Ali Mustafa Qatuosh {23 years old}{A resident of Deir Al-Balah city} died of serious injuries sustained after being wounded by the Israeli Military during clashes in east Al-Buriej camp located in Central Gaza district on May 14th 2018.
- May 24th 2018: Muhanad Baker Abu Tahoun {21 years old} {A resident of Al-Nussirat camp} died of serious injuries sustained after being wounded by the Israeli Military during clashes in east Al-Buriej camp located in Central Gaza district on May 14th 2018.
- May 25th 2018: Yasser Sami Habib {24 years old} {a resident of Gaza city} died of serious injuries sustained after being wounded by the Israeli Military during clashes in east Gaza city on May 14th 2018.
- May 26th 2018: Hussien Salem Abu Awayda {41 years old} {a resident of Gaza city} died of serious injuries sustained after being wounded by the Israeli Military during clashes in east Gaza city on May 14th 2018.
- May 27th 2018: Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line launched 5 tank artillery shells towards 3 Palestinian gunmen sites in North Beit Lahiya and as a result killed Mohammad Masa'ud Ahmad Al-Radi' {25 years old}{A Palestinian Gunmen}{A resident of Beit Lahiya town} and left another critically wounded
- May 28th 2018: Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line launched 3 tank Artillery shells towards Palestinian gunmen sites in east Rafah city and as a result killed 3 Palestinian gunmen: Abdel Halim Abdel-Karim Al-Naqa {28 years old}, Hussein Samir Amour {25 years old}, and Naseem Marwan Amour {25 years old}.
- May 28th 2018: Nasser Aref Abdel-Ra'uf Al-Arini {28 years old}{A resident of Jabaliya camp} died of serious injuries sustained after being wounded by the Israeli Military during clashes in east Jabaliya town on May 14th 2018.
May 30th 2018: Naji Maysara Abdallah Gheniem {23 years old} {a resident of Rafah city} died of serious injuries sustained after being wounded by the Israeli Military during clashes in east Jabaliya town on May 14th 2018.
Injuries
A total of 1940 injuries were reported in the month of May 2018 (131 Palestinians in the West Bank and 1809 in the Gaza Strip). Injuries included 14 children, 2 Women and 1 Paramedic.
Arrests
During the month of May 2018, the Israeli military arrested 499 Palestinians (479 in the West Bank and 20 in the Gaza Strip). Closure
Especially on Fridays, the Israeli military continues to intensify restrictions at checkpoints located at the entrances of Jerusalem, and to restrict entrance to the Al Aqsa Mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem, preventing worshippers from accessing the Mosque. At the Qalandiya checkpoint north of Jerusalem, the Israeli military continues to prevent PNA registered civilian vehicles from crossing the checkpoint towards Ar Ram and Qalandiya as well as Dahiyat al Bareed. The checkpoint is overcrowded daily, particularly during rush hours, due to intensified restrictions and search measures applied by Israeli troops. During the month of March 2018 the Israeli military also continued to intensify restrictions at the Tayasir checkpoint and Al Hamra junction checkpoint leading to the Jordan Valley area, only allowing access to civilians whose IDs indicate District of Jericho residence or others holding special access permits. In addition, restrictions were intensified and civilian access was obstructed at the Za’tara junction checkpoint (separating the northern and central West Bank districts) as well as at the As Sawahira ash Sharqiya (the ‘Container’) checkpoint (separating the central and southern West Bank districts).
The Israeli military installed 259 flying checkpoints in May 2018 (compared with 347 in April and 321 in March 2018) and as a result restricted the free access and movement of residents, merchant supplies and agricultural goods.

The Israeli military carried out a total of 471 raids in Palestinian residential areas during the month of May 2018, including 457 in the West Bank and 14 in the Gaza Strip. The majority of Israeli military raids were reported to have taken place in the districts of Jerusalem (42); Ramallah (64); Jenin (72); Tubas (6); Tulkarem (54); Qalqiliya (27); Nablus (50); Salfit (18); Jericho (9); Bethlehem (53); Hebron (62); North Gaza (3),Gaza (3) Central Gaza (3), Khan Yunis (3) and Rafah (2).

A total of 438 attacks were reported to have taken place during the month of May 2018 (199 in the West Bank and 239 in the Gaza Strip).

- May 12th 2018: Palestinian gunmen opened fire towards Israeli forces positioned near the border fence in east Gaza city.
- May 16th 2018: Palestinian gunmen opened fire towards Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line in east Beit Hanun town.
- May 16th 2018: Palestinian gunmen opened fire towards Israeli forces behind the border fence in east Al-Buriej camp.
- May 21st 2018: Palestinian Gunmen opened fire towards Israeli forces positioned behind the border fence in east Al-Maghazi camp.
- May 28th 2018: Palestinian gunmen opened fire towards Israeli forces near the border fence in North Beit Lahiya town.
- May 28th 2018: Palestinian gunmen opened fire towards Israeli forces near the border fence in east Beit Hanun town.
- May 29th 2018: Palestinian Gunmen broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire and launching 155 projectiles towards the Green Line.
- May 30th 2018: Palestinian Gunmen broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire and launching 42 projectiles towards the Green Line.
Attacks on residential areas in West Bank & Gaza districts
Home Demolition
During the month of May 2018, the Israeli military demolished 7 Palestinian homes and residential tents, which consisted of the following:
- May 1st 2018: Israeli forces demolished an apartment building {consisting of 3 floors and 6 apartments with several merchant shops} owned by Jamal Aliyan for allegedly being built without a license during their raid into Al-Eisawiya village.
- May 2nd 2018: Israeli forces demolished 2 rooms and a barn owned by Yunis Abu Aram during their raid into Khirbit Al-Hilwah area located in south east Yatta town.
May 2nd 2018: Israeli forces demolished 3 rooms owned by owned by Mohammad Issa Al-Najjar, Yusef Makhamra, Omar Hassan Hushiya, and demolished 2 rooms owned Mohammad Abd Rabbo Hushiya and Issam Yunis Ahmad during their raid into Khirbit Al-Markaz and Kihribit Janba which are located in south Yatta town.forces demolished a Tent owned by Khader Al-Nawaj'a located in Rajm Al-Hamra area located near "Sussiya" settlement located in east Yatta town.

Jerusalem:
- May 1st 2018: Israeli forces demolished a truck parking lot owned by Ashraf Idris for allegedly being built without a license during their raid into Qalandiya village.
- May 3rd 2018: Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city under the orders of Gilad Erdan {Israeli Minister of Public Security} prevented a Soccer tournament under the Title of {The Marter Khalil "Abu Jihad" Al-Wazzir} which was set to take place on May 4th 2018 in Silwan school soccer feild in Ras Al-Amoud neighborhood in Jerusalem city.
- May 7th 2018: Israeli forces stormed Beit Safafa village and demolished a merchant shop owned by Ahmad Mohammad Nimer Al-Absi {A resident of Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city}.
- May 8th 2018: Israeli forces demolished a vehicle repair shop owned by Hassan Khalil in Al-Eisawiya village for allegedly being built without a license.
- May 9th 2018: Israeli forces stormed Bab Al-Rahmah Cemetery adjacent to the eastern wall of Al-Aqsa Mosque in the old city of Jerusalem and damaged several graves and Tombs belonging to Ghayth, Al-Umam, Al-Qaysi and Al-Zaghir families and installed a steel gate in the center of the cemetery for the purpose of settlement construction.
- May 22nd 2018: Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city placed a steel fence around Al-Rahma Cemetery which is located next to Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
- May 24th 2018: Israeli courts issued an order for the demolition of 200 homes of Bedouin community from Arab Al-Jahalin and for the demolition of a school in Khan Al-Hamra area located along the main road between "Malee Adumim" and "Kafar Adumim" settlement and also ordered the relocation of the residents of the Bedouin community to Abu Dis town then declared the area as State Land.
Tubas:
- May 1st 2018: Israeli forces removed 5 families from their home in Khirbeit Humsa area located in the North Jordan valley region from 16:00 until 14:00 for alleged military training in the area.
- May 6th 2018: Israeli forces stormed Humsat area in the North Jordan valley region and dug a water well.
- May 8th 2018: the Israeli military forced 5 families out of their home in Khirbeit Humsat area located in the North Jordan valley region from 06:00 until 14:00 on May 5th 2018 for alleged military training in the area {which was based on a prior military order given to local residents}.
Tulkarem:
- May 29th 2018: Israeli forces damaged a vehicle owned by Hatem Hafith Fuqaha as they detained his daughter during their raid into Kafr Al-Labbad village.
Qalqiliya:
- May 27th 2018: Israeli military forced several Municipality construction workers to halt work on paving a road in Azzun town for allegedly being near "Malee Shamron" settlement.
Nablus:
- May 9th 2018: Israeli forces stormed the east area of Madma village and demolished an agricultural storage den owned by Mahmoud Al-Eisawi for allegedly being built without out a license because of its location in area C.
Salfit:
- May 9th 2018: , Israeli forces positioned near the wall gate located in the west area of Deir Ballout town temporarily seized a bulldozers operated by Omar Qar'oush as he was doing work for the local municipality then returned to the operator at 14:55.
Bethlehem:
- May 2nd 2018: Israeli forces stormed Bi'ir Unat area located in North West Beit Jallah city and served a military order to halt construction on a home owned by Zakariya Al-Wahish for allegedly being built without a license.
- May 21st 2018: Israeli forces served a military order to Ibrahim Mohammad Issa Musa {A resident of Al-Khader town} forcing him to leave his agricultural land {approximately 5 dunums} which is located in Khilat Thaher Al-Ein/Al-Mahjar area in Al-Khader town for alleged military purposes and gave him a time period of 30 days raise any objections.
Hebron:
- May 2nd 2018: Israeli forces demolished a barn owned by Yunis Abu Aram during their raid into Khirbit Al-Hilwah area located in south east Yatta town.
- May 2nd 2018: Israeli forces demolished a barn owned by Saher Issa Mohammad during their raid into Kihribit Janba located in south Yatta town.
- May 3rd 2018: Israeli forces stormed Beit Za'ta area located in east Beit Ummar town demolished an agricultural den used for storing plants owned by Ramzi Nabil Abdel-Rahman Abu Ayash for allegedly being built without a license and confiscated agricultural equipment.
- May 9th 2018: Israeli forces demolished agricultural dens owned by Imad Abdel-Hadi Thiyabna near Tarqumiya town.
- May 16th 2018: Israeli forces uprooted approximately 500 Grapevines owned by Sa'di Mohammad Mustafa Sa'da and Omar Abdel-Karee, Sa'da located in Wadi Qabbun area in Halhul town located along bypass road 35.
Gaza:
- May 23rd 2018: 2 Palestinian fishing boats were destroyed after Israeli Military jets launched missiles towards them off the shores of Gaza Sea port.
Confiscation of Property:
Jerusalem:
- May 7th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated a computer from the family home of Rami Matawi {who was killed by Israeli forces} during their raid into Hizma town.
- May 10th 2018: Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city served a military order for the confiscation of a plot of land owned by a resident in Al-Eisawiya village for settlement construction purposes.
Ramallah & Al-Bireh:
- May 6th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated surveillance camera footage after storming "Ayoush cafe" during their raid into Turmus'aya town.

- May 21st 2018: Israeli forces confiscated 6000 NIS after storming and searching the home of Raed Abu Sarour during their raid into Jenin city.
Tubas:
- May 4th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated a Drilling rig in Khirbiet Al-Dier area in the North Jordan valley.
- May 8th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated surveillance camera footage from the homes of Azzam Amin Al-Fuqaha and Saleh Mahmoud Fuqaha during their raid into Ein Al-Bayda village.

- May 29th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated 10000 NIS from the home of Hatem Hafith Fuqaha as they detained his daughter during their raid into Kafr Al-Labbad village.

- May 6th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated sums of cash as they stormed and searched the home Rami Hama Awais during their raid into Qalqiliya city.

- May 8th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated a vehicle owned by Ahmad Nabhan Saqer during their raid into Askar camp in Nablus city.
- May 9th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated sums of cash from the home of Adham Tahsin Ahmad Al-Shouli during their raid into Assira Al-Shamaliya town.
- May 10th 2018: Israeli forces served a military order for the confiscation of 1.5 Dunums of land in Bi'r Al-Hamam area plot number (5) located in Huwara town near "Yitshar" settlement for the purpose of settlement construction.
Jericho:
- May 20th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated a vehicle owned by Riziq Sawarkat for allegedly attempting to run over an Israeli settler during their raid into Fasayil village.
- May 29th 2018: Israeli forces positioned in Arab Al-Zayid area in Al-Nuw'meh village located in North Jericho city confiscated concrete bricks owned by Nayef Daoud Tarif Ziyad in order to prevent him from construction work for allegedly not having a construction license.
Bethlehem:
- May 4th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated a computer, a cellular telephone and personal documents from the home of Khalil Mustafa Khalil Kan'an after storming it during their raid into Ayda camp in Bethlehem city.
- May 7th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated a digger and a cement mixer for allegedly not having operation licenses in Al-Khader town.
- May 14th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated a vehicle owned by Yunis Abu Hanak in Al-Ubidiya town.
Hebron:
- May 2nd 2018: Israeli forces confiscated a Solar panel for generating electricity and a water tank owned by Yunis Abu Aram during their raid into Khirbit Al-Hilwah area located in south east Yatta town.
- May 2nd 2018: Israeli forces confiscated a Solar panel for generating electricity and a water tank owned by Saher Issa Mohammad during their raid into Khirbit Al-Markaz and Kihribit Janba which are located in south Yatta town.
- May 3rd 2018: Israeli forces confiscated agricultural equipment owned by Ramzi Nabil Abdel-Rahman Abu Ayash after they demolished an agricultural den used for storing plants in Beit Za'ta area located in east Beit Ummar town.
- May 9th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated 20000 NIS from the homes of Ahmad Rashid Abu Ramouz and Abdel-Kareem Rashid Abu Ramouz during their raid into Hebron city.
- May 9th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated several containers owned by Raed Mahmoud Al-Tumayzi near Tarqumiya crossing point.
- May 21st 2018: Israeli forces confiscated a concrete pump owned Ashraf Taha Abu Sanieneh in the old city of Hebron.
North Gaza:
- May 24th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated a fishing boat after temporarily detained 2 fishermen: Rasem Ishaq Zayed, and his brother Mohammed off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town.
Gaza:
- May 29th 2018: Israeli Naval vessels positioned off the shores of Gaza city confiscated 18 fishing boats after detaining a fishermen and temporally detaining 17 others who were released at a later time through Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing.
- May 30th 2018: Israeli Naval forces confiscated a fishing boat after detaining 2 fishermen off the shores of Gaza city.
Settlement Activity:
- May 3rd 2018: Israeli forces escorting Military bulldozers stormed the east area of Assira Al-Qibliya village and leveled a plot of land agricultural land labelled plot {1} located near Yitsahar settlement.
- May 27th 2018: Israeli authorities authorized the implementation of Order 05/06/404 which calls for the construction of a car parking lot in Khilat Al-Fahim area located in Al-Khader town in Bethlehem district on land occupied in 1967.
- May 30th 2018: The Israeli occupation authorities have approved settlement plans for the construction of 1,500 new housing units (1,000 housing units in the settlements of Neve Daniel, Kfar Eldad, Kiryat Arba, Omrim, Karmel, Eli Zahav and Tsufim), 500 housing units in the settlements of Har Adar, Har Brakhat, Kfar Adumim, Nokdim, Kfar Etzion and Beit Aryeh. It also approved a retroactive plan for 102 settlement housing units in "Nujohot" settlement), established on Palestinian owned lands in the governorates of Jerusalem, Ram, Qalqilya, Nablus, Salfit, Bethlehem and Hebron within the territories occupied in 1967.
Settler Violence
Jerusalem:
- May 4th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers positioned at Bab Hata Gate {one of the main gate entrances leading to Al-Aqsa mosque compound} in the old city of Jerusalem assaulted Tariq Al-Tamimi and as a result left him hospitalized with contusions.
- May 6th 2018: Israeli settlers positioned at Al-Wad road in the old city of Jerusalem assaulted 2 residents who were decorating the streets in preparation for the Holy month of Ramadan during which Israeli forces detained the residents.
- May 14th 2018: Israeli settlers stormed Shu'fat neighborhood in Jerusalem city and punctured the tires of 28 vehicles then spray painted anti-Arab and racist graffiti onto the vehicles.
- May 25th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers assaulted 4 residents: Musa Samir Abu Tair, Issa Samir Abu Tair, Mahdi Samir Abu Tair, and Mohammed Talal Amira {All are workers from Sur Baher and Um Tubat villages}as they were returning from work in Jerusalem city.
Ramallah &Al-Bireh:
- May 13th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of the Israeli Military attacked several farmers who were planting Olive trees on land under threat of Israeli Military confiscation in Turmus'aya town and proceeded to uproot the newly planted trees.
- May 19th 2018: a Israeli settler guarding "Tamoun" settlement located North West of Ein Qinya village opened fire towards Atta Al-Khatib {A special needs patient who is Mute} {A resident of Ein Qinya village} as he was farming his agricultural land and also assaulted him as he detained him then released him after his relatives arrived.
- May 28th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers from "Kokhav Hashaher" settlement stormed agricultural land in Kafr Malik village and uprooted approximately 100 Grape vines owned by Eyad Sa'id Mu'adi.
Jenin:
- May 9th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers positioned near Homish settlement {which was previously abandoned} assaulted Mohammad Fashashfah {A resident of Ya'bad town} as he was herding his goats and then stole 8 of his goats.
Tubas:
- May 5th 2018: a group of Israeli settles installed 2 mobile homes on land located in Al-Farisiya area near "Rotem" settlement in the North Jordan valley region.
- May 8th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers stormed Khilat Hamad area in the North Jordan valley, kicked out several Sheppard's who were herding their goats in the area and assaulted Badran Rafa' Fuqaha using an attack dog then withdrew at 10:30.
Nablus:
- May 3rd 2018: 2 Israeli settlers stormed Yasuf village and attempted to enter and seize the local mosque during which local residents were able to prevent them from entering the ,mosque then withdrew under the protection of the Israeli Military.
- May 5th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Rujieb village and uprooted several Olive groves and attempted to sabotage a water well then withdrew under the protection of the Israeli Military.
- May 7th 2018: Israeli settlers stormed the south area of Madma village during which local residents were able to chase them from the area during which Israeli forces detained 4 residents {including a child}.
- May 11th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers stormed Duma town and set fire to the home of Ahmad Abdel-Fattah Dawabsha after they threw a Molotov fire bomb during which local residents were able to extinguish the fire.
- May 16th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Burqa village and set fire to several Olive trees owned by Mohammad Ameen Faris Hajjat.
- May 17th 2018: a Israeli settler ran over the child: Yamin Tayil Mahmoud Odah {10 years old} with his vehicle as he was travelling along the main road in Huwara town and as a result left him hospitalized with contusions.
- May 20th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers from "Yitshar" settlement set fire to agricultural land planted with Olive groves located in Huwara town east of the settlement.
- May 28th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers positioned at Huawra military checkpoint stoned residents and vehicles passing through the checkpoint.
Qalqiliya:
- May 11th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers positioned along Wadi Qana road {which connects Qalqiliya and Salfit} located near Jinsafut village stoned several vehicles travelling along the road and as a result damaged a vehicle owned by Saleh Omar Saleh Ayoub {A resident of Jinsafut village}.
Bethlehem:
- May 30th 2018: Israeli settlers from "Sde Boaz" settlement outpost stormed agricultural land in Ein Qassis area in Al-Khader town and assaulted 2 residents: Mahmoud Ahmed Sabatin, and his brother Ibrahim leaving them hospitalized with contusions.
Hebron:
- May 3rd 2018: Israeli settlers from "Karmi Tsur" settlement installed tents and raised Israeli flags near the entrance of Al-Hawawir area {located in North Halhul town}.
- May 4th 2018: Israeli settlers from "Migon" settlement located in east Yatta town set fire to wheat crops on approximately 20 dunums {acres} of agricultural land owned by Al-Dababsah family.
- May 5th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers stormed several merchant shops in the old city of Hebron and sabotaged equipment inside the stores.
- May 7th 2018: An Israeli settler driving a vehicle along bypass road 35 ran over Hani Fayiz Al-Adraba {23 years old} {a resident of Beit Ula town} and as a result left him hospitalized in critical condition.
- May 8th 2018: Israeli settlers from "Kafr Itsiyon" settlement pumped sewage waste from the settlement onto agricultural land located in Wadi Shikhib area in Beit Ummar town and as a result destroyed agricultural crops and grape vineyards owned by Sabarnah family.
- May 15th 2018: Israeli settlers positioned near the entrance of Qalqas village opened fire towards Billal Al-Za'tari and as a result wounded his hand.
- May 16th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of the Israeli Military stormed Ein Al-Dalbat area located near the east entrance of Dura town and seized an antique home owned by Jaibat family then raised Israeli flags on its rooftop.
- May 22nd 2018: A group of settlers in the Marjah area of Halhul town, located near road {60}, which passes by the village, chopped off approximately 700 grape vines using chainsaw's and are owned by Maher Atta Hassan Karajah, his brother Isma'il (400 trees), Younis Ali Ahmed Abu Arish (100 trees) and Walid Abdul Razek Dahidel (200 trees).
- May 26th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Baloutat Aweis area located near bypass road (60) in east Hebron city and chopped down 700 grapevines on approximately 12 dunums of land owned by the estate of Na'eem Shukri Al-Tamimi and then spray painted racist and anti-Arab graffiti on the surrounding concrete fence.
- May 31st 2018: Israeli settlers positioned in Jaber Neighborhood in the old city of Hebron assaulted Abdel-Rahman Al-Rajabi and as a result left him hospitalized with contusions.
Closure of Crossing Points
The Israeli military completely closed crossing points into the Gaza Strip, including access points within the Green Line, on 161 occasions during the month of May 2018. The Israeli military closed crossing points within the Green Line on 109 occasions. It opened Beit Hanun (Erez) Crossing for 26 days for previously-coordinated humanitarian cases and foreign nationals and Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing for 20 days for transportation of food supplies, humanitarian aid, and cooking gas. In addition to allowing in animal feed, construction cargo designated for UNRWA and internationally-funded projects was transported through the Crossing. Sufa Crossing was closed throughout the month. On the other hand, the Israeli authorities have continued to unilaterally close Ash Shuja’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Israeli authorities has also continued to completely close Al Muntar (Karnei) Commercial Crossing.
The Israeli military closed international crossing points on 42 occasions. Rafah Crossing was closed on 11 occasions. Yasser Arafat International Airport has remained closed since the outbreak of the second Intifada.
