The following summary tables and overview of events survey hostile Israeli activities during the period 01 August 2022 to 31 August 2022. The report includes a summary table of events, classified by type, throughout the West Bank and Gaza Strip, in addition to a comparative table surveying events over the past three months. The survey is compiled from the Daily Situation Reports of the Palestinian Monitoring Group (PMG) of the Negotiations Affairs Department (NAD) of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). The PMG monitors ground conditions in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, including Israeli and Palestinian violations.. The information reported through the PMG process represents data available at the time of distribution only.

Analysis of Events
Killings
A total of 59 residents were killed by Israeli forces during the month of August 29 2022 {11 in the West Bank and 48 in Gaza}:
Jerusalem:
8/15/2022: The Israeli occupation forces opened fire towards the citizen: Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Shaham, 21 years old, during a raid on his house during their raid into the town of Kafr Aqab which led to his death after being seriously wounded in the head.
Ramallah &Al-Bireh:
8/31/2022: the Israeli occupation forces raided the city of Al-Bireh, and confrontations took place with the citizens, as they stormed a number of houses and as a result killed the citizen: Yazan Afana, 26 years old, a resident of Qalandia refugee camp in the Jerusalem governorate
Jenin:
08/01/2022: The Israeli occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens, for alleged stoning and shooting incidents during their raid into Jenin camp and as a result killed the child: Dirar Riad Al-Hajj Saleh Al-Kafrini, 17 years old.
Tubas:
8/19/2022: The Israeli occupation forces during their raid into the city of Tubas, fired live ammunition rubber-coated metal, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning as they stormed a number of houses and as a result killed the citizen: Salah Tawfiq Sawafta, 58 years old, who died after sustaining a serious head injury while leaving the mosque after performing the Fajr prayer.
Nablus:
- 08/09/2022: The Israeli occupation forces resumed firing live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards the citizens for alleged gunfire and stones, and launched a rocket-propelled grenade towards at the house during their raid into the city of Nablus, and as a result killed 3 civilians (including a child): Ibrahim Alaa Al-Nablusi, 26 years old, Islam Sabbouh, 25 years old, and Hussein Jamal Hussein Taha, 16 years old, and injured 29 other civilians.
- 08/17/2022: the Israeli occupation forces fired live ammunition, rubber-coated metal, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens during their raid into the city of Nablus and as a result killed the citizen: Waseem Nasser Abu Khalifa, 20 years old - a resident of Balata refugee camp, injuring 31 citizens (including 3 seriously injured, and 2 children), and left 25 citizens suffocated due to inhalation of tear gas.
- 08/23/2022: the citizen: Muhammad Marzouq Ali Araysha, 24 years old - a resident of Nablus, died of serious wounds he sustained during the Israeli occupation forces storming the city of Nablus (as mentioned in a report on 08/10/ 2022).
Hebron:
08/09/2022: the Israeli occupation forces positioned in Bab Al-Zawiya area in Hebron city, fired live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets, stun, and tear gas canisters towards demonstrators for alleged stoning and as a result killed a child: Mu'min Yassin Muhammad Judeh Jaber, 16 years old, and injured 4 civilians (including a child):Ziyad Mahmoud Abu Ayesh, 15 years old,
North Gaza:
08/06/2022: Israeli warplanes launched 3 missiles, targeting a site belonging to one of the armed Palestinian groups north of Beit Lahia, killing a citizen Muhammad Ahmad Abd al-Fattah Nasrallah al-Madhoun, 25 years and injuring 4 others.
From 07:05 on 08/06/ 2022 until 07:00 on 08/07/2022 Israeli warplanes luanched 24 missiles (in 21 consecutive airstrikes), targeting sites belonging to Palestinian armed groups, lands, homes, vehicles and targets in North Gaza Governorate and as a result 12 civilians were killed (including 5 children and a woman woman): Abd al-Rahman Ali Hussein Ibrahim, 22 years old, Noureddin Hussein Ali al-Zwaidi, 18 years old, Hassan Muhammad Yousef Mansour, 26 years old, and Naama Talba Muhammad Abu Qaida 62 years old. Hazem Muhammad Ali Salem, 9, Ahmed Muhammad al-Nayrab, 11, Moamen Muhammad al-Nayrab, 5, Khalil Iyad Abu Hamada, 19, Khalil Muhammad Jamil Shabeer, 10, Ahmed Walid al-Fram, 16, Nafez Muhammad Misbah Juma al-Khatib, 50, and Muhammad Ibrahim. Zaqout is 19 years old., 45 civilians were injured (including women and children), and 4 homes and 2 vehicles were targeted.
From 07:00 on 08/07/ 2022 until 23:30 on 08/07/ 2022 Israeli warplanes launched 22 missiles (in 20 consecutive airstrikes) targeting sites belonging to Palestinian armed groups, lands, homes and targets in the North Gaza Governorate and as a result, 10 civilians were killed (including 5 children): Ahmad Muhammad Afana 31, Diaa Zuhair Borai, 30 years old, Jamil Ihab Najm 15 years old, Jamil Najm 6 years old, Nazmi Fayez Abu Karsh 16 years old, and Hamed Haidar Najm 17 years old. years old, Muhammad Salah Najm, 17 years old, Khaled Ayman Yassin, 27 years old, Shadi Imad Nimr Kahil, 27 years old, and Abd al-Rahman Jumah al-Silk, 19 years old., 86 civilians were injured (including women and children), and 2 houses were targeted.
08/08/2022: The child, Haneen Walid Abu Qaida, 10 years old, died of her serious wounds, which he sustained as a result of the bombing of missiles by Israeli warplanes in the North Gaza Governorate on 08/05/ 2022.

Gaza:
6 civilians {including a infant girl} were killed result of Israeli airstrikes towards Gaza governorate are: Alaa Abdullah Riyad Qaddoum, 5 years old, Tayseer Mahmoud Muhammad al-Jabari, 50 years old, Salama Muharib Abdullah Abed, 39 years old, Imad Abdel Rahman Ibrahim Shalah, 50 years old, and Yousef Salman Muhammad Qaddoum 24 years old. - 08/05/2022, Israeli warplanes launched missiles towards a site belonging to one of the armed Palestinian groups, east of Al-Zaytoun neighbourhood, southeast of Gaza City, and as a result killed a citizen and injured 2 others.
- 08/05/2022, Israeli warplanes launched 4 missiles, targeting an apartment in Al-Rimal neighbourhood in Gaza City, killing 3 civilians and injured 15 others.
- 08/05/2022, Israeli warplanes launched a missile, targeting a vehicle in the Shujaiya neighbourhood, east of Gaza City and a as a result killed a citizen and injured of another.
- 08/05/2022, Israeli warplanes launched a missile, targeting a motorcycle in the Shujaiya neighbourhood, east of Gaza City, and a as a result killed a citizen.
From 07:00 on 08/07/ 2022 until 23:30 on 08/07/ 2022 Israeli warplanes launched 21 missiles (in 13 consecutive air strikes), targeting sites belonging to Palestinian armed groups, lands, vehicles and targets in Gaza Governorate, and as a result a citizen: Mahmoud Ahmed Daoud, 21 years old was killed, 37 civilians (including women and children) were injured, and a vehicle was destroyed.
Central Gaza:
From 07:00 on 08/07/ 2022 until 23:30 on 08/ 07/ 2022, the Israeli warplanes launched two missiles (in two successive raids), a targeted house in the central Gaza governorate, and as a result killed 4 citizens (3 children). and their father: Muhammad Yasser Nimr Al Nabahin, 13 years old, Ahmed Yasser Nimer Al Nabahin, 9 years old, Dalia Yasser Nimr Al Nabahin, 13 years old, and Yasser Nimer Mahmoud Al Nabaheen, 45 years old and injured 5 others, and destroyed a house.
Khan Yunis:
08/05/ 2022, Israeli warplanes launched two missiles towards agricultural land east of Khan Yunis, and as a result killed 2 civilians: Fadel Mustafa Zorob, 29 years old, and Muhammad Hassan Musa Al-Bayouk, 35 years old and injured 5 others.
08/05/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces fired 5 artillery shells from their positions on the Green Line, towards areas east of Al-Fukhari town, southeast of Khan Yunis and as a result killed a citizen : Doniyana Adnan Attia Al-Amour, 22 years old and injured 7 other citizens.
From 07:05 on 08/06/2022 until 07:00 on 08/07/2022 Israeli warplanes launched 21 missiles (in 14 consecutive air strikes), targeting sites belonging to Palestinian armed groups, lands, a house, a vehicle and targets in Khan Yunis Governorate and a result, 2 civilians (including a child) were killed: Tamim Ghassan Abdullah Hijazi, 24 years old, and Osama Abdel Rahman Hussein Al-Suri, 27 years old and 9 civilians (including women and children) were injured, and a house and a vehicle were destroyed.
08/11/ 2022, the child: Layan Al-Shaer, 10 years old, died of serious wounds sustained by missiles from Israeli warplanes in Khan Yunis on 08/05/2022.
08/12/ 2022, the citizen: Anas Khaled Anshasi, 22 years old, died of serious wounds he had sustained as a result of the bombing by Israeli warplanes in Khan Yunis governorate on 08/05/2022.
Rafah:
From 07:05 on 08/06/2022 until 07:00 on 08/07/2022 Israeli warplanes launched 20 missiles (in 10 consecutive air strikes), targeting sites belonging to Palestinian armed groups, lands, homes, vehicles and targets in Rafah Governorate and as a result, 7 citizens were killed (including a child and two female citizens): Khaled Saeed Mansour, 46 years old, Ziyad Ahmed Al-Mudallal, 35 years old, Muhammad Iyad Hassouna, 14 years old, Ismail Abdel Hamid Dweik, 30 years old, and Hana Ismail Dweik, 50 years old. - Alaa Saleh Al-Tahrawi, 30 years old, and Raafat Saleh Ibrahim Sheikh Al-Eid, 41 years old., 65 civilians were wounded (including children and women), and 3 houses and a vehicle were destroyed.
Injuries
A total of 564 injuries were reported in the month of August 2022 {214 Palestinians in the West Bank and 350 in the Gaza Strip).
Including several children , women and elderly civilians as a result of Israeli attack, shelling and Air Strikes.
Arrests
During the month of August 2022, the Israeli military arrested 683 Palestinians {677 in the West Bank and 6 in the Gaza Strip). The majority of arrests took place in the districts: 126 Jerusalem, 91 Ramallah, 62 Jenin, 15 Tubas, 48 Tulkarm, 28 Qalqilya, 57 Nablus, 24 Salfit, 6 Jericho, 99 Bethlehem, 121 Hebron, 2 North Gaza, and 4 Rafah.

Closure
Especially on Fridays, the Israeli military continues to intensify restrictions at checkpoints located at the entrances of Jerusalem, and to restrict entrance to the Al Aqsa Mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem, preventing worshippers from accessing the Mosque. At the Qalandiya checkpoint north of Jerusalem, the Israeli military continues to prevent PNA registered civilian vehicles from crossing the checkpoint towards Ar Ram and Qalandiya as well as Dahiyat al Bareed. The checkpoint is overcrowded daily, particularly during rush hours, due to intensified restrictions and search measures applied by Israeli troops. During the month of August 2022 ,the Israeli military also continued to intensify restrictions at the Tayasir checkpoint and Al Hamra junction checkpoint leading to the Jordan Valley area, only allowing access to civilians whose IDs indicate District of Jericho residence or others holding special access permits. In addition, restrictions were intensified and civilian access was obstructed at the Za’tara junction checkpoint (separating the northern and central West Bank districts) as well as at the As Sawahira ash Sharqiya (the ‘Container’) checkpoint (separating the central and southern West Bank districts).
The Israeli military installed 268 checkpoints in August 2022 (Compared with 207 checkpoints in July 2022 and 195 checkpoints in June 2022 and as a result restricted the free access and movement of residents, merchant supplies and agricultural goods.

Home Demolition
The Israeli occupation forces demolished 60 homes during August 2022 including:
- 08/01/2022: the Israeli occupation authorities demolished a house owned by Alaa Assi Al-Awar in Ein Al-Loza area in Silwan neighbourhood in Jerusalem under the pretext of not having a license.
- 08/01/2022: the Israeli occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem forced the citizen: Shadi Al-Kharouf, to personally demolish a wooden roof on the roof of his house in the Wadi Al-Joz neighbourhood in Jerusalem, after notifying him earlier, in order to avoid paying heavy fines in the event of the occupation authorities The demolition process, on the pretext of not having a permit.
- 08/01/2022: the Israeli occupation forces demolished a house owned by: Muhammad Abu Al-Saud during their raid into Sebastia village under the pretext of not having a permit.
- 08/02/2022: the Israeli occupation forces demolished a 150-square-meter house owned by Fawzi Nafez Ali Ahmed during their raid ino Kafr El-Deek town under the pretext of not having a permit.
- 08/02/2022: the Israeli occupation forces demolished a 115-square-meter house in Silwan neighbourhood in Jerusalem, owned by Hazem Abu Sneineh, under the pretext of not having a license.
- 08/03/2022: the Israeli occupation forces demolished a residential room owned by: Tariq Sbeitan, and another residential room in addition to agricultural facilities owned by: Muhammad Jum’a Hamdan located west of the town of Al-Za’im under the pretext of not having a license.
- 08/05/2022: An apartment was destroyed by air strikes in Al-Rimal neighbourhood in Gaza City.
- 08/06/2022: Israeli warplanes launched 24 missiles (in 21 consecutive airstrikes), targeting sites belonging to Palestinian armed groups, lands, homes, vehicles and targets in North Gaza Governorate and as a result 12 civilians were killed (including 5 children and a woman woman), 45 civilians were injured (including women and children), and 4 homes and 2 vehicles were targeted.
- 08/07/2022: The Israeli occupation forces demolished the homes of the two families of the two prisoners: Asaad Yousef Al-Rifai and Subhi Imad Sbeihat during their raid into Rumana village.
- 08/07/2022: Israeli warplanes launched 22 missiles (in 20 consecutive airstrikes) targeting sites belonging to Palestinian armed groups, lands, homes and targets in the North Gaza Governorate and as a result, 10 civilians were killed (including 5 children), 86 civilians were injured (including women and children), and 2 houses were targeted.
- 08/08/2022: The Israeli occupation forces demolished 5 storage dens used for housing, in addition to 4 agricultural dens owned by citizens of Arab al-Kaabneh in the Bedouin settlement near the village of Jaba, under the pretext of not having a permit.
- 08/09/2022: The Israeli occupation forces demolished two residential rooms owned by the citizen: Hisham Al-Dari in the village of Al-Isawiya, under the pretext of not having a license.
- 08/09/2022: The Israeli occupation forces demolished a house of 100 square meters in Al-Manshiya area near the town of Tekoa, owned by: Amin Al-Rajabi, under the pretext of not having a license.
- 08/10/2022: The Israeli occupation authorities in Al-Ashkariya neighborhood in the town of Beit Hanina forced the citizen: Munir Al-Rajabi to personally demolish his 50-square-meter house, after notifying him earlier, in order to avoid paying heavy fines in case the Israeli occupation authorities carry out an operation demolition, on the pretext of not having a permit.
- 08/10/2022: The Israeli occupation forces demolished a house built of bricks and tin, in addition to a barn for raising sheep, owned by the citizen: Suleiman Jahalin in the Arab al-Zawahra community in the town of Al-Auja.
- 08/14/2022: The Israeli occupation authorities in the Old City of Jerusalem forced the citizen: Othman Qaljawi, to personally demolish a room attached to his house, after notifying him earlier, in order to avoid paying heavy fines in the event the occupation authorities carry out the demolition, on the pretext of not having a permit.
- 08/16/2022: The Israeli occupation authorities in the village of Al-Isawiya forced the citizen: Farouk Ahmed Mustafa, to personally demolish his house, after notifying him earlier, in order to avoid paying heavy fines in the event that the occupation authorities carried out the demolition, under the pretext of not having a permit.
- 08/16/2022: The Israeli occupation forces demolished in Hosh Al-Awar in Silwan neighbourhood in Jerusalem, a house owned by the citizen: Salah Al-Zughair, under the pretext of not having a license.
- 08/16/2022: The Israeli occupation forces demolished in Al-Jiftlik village, a house (built of bricks and roofed with "zinc" panels), in addition to two sheep pens owned by the citizen: Muhammad Abu Aram, under the pretext of not having a license.
- 08/17/2022: The Israeli occupation authorities in the village of Al-Sharafat forced the citizen: Mahmoud Abu Raya to personally demolish part of his house, after notifying him earlier, in order to avoid paying heavy fines in the event that the occupation authorities carried out the demolition, on the pretext of not having a permit.
- 08/17/2022: The Israeli occupation authorities in Al-Thawri neighbourhood in Jerusalem forced the Shweiki family to demolish their house themselves, after notifying them earlier, in order to avoid paying heavy fines in the event that the occupation authorities carried out the demolition, on the pretext of not having a permit.
- 08/21/2022: The Israeli occupation authorities in the village of Sur Baher forced the citizen: Ahmed Alyan to personally demolish his house, after notifying him earlier, in order to avoid paying heavy fines in the event that the Israeli occupation authorities carried out the demolition, on the pretext of not having a permit.
- 08/22/2022: The Israeli occupation forces demolished a residential room owned by: Saleh Muhammad Hamarneh, in the village of Farasin, southwest of the town of Yabad under the pretext of not having a license.
