MONTHLY SUMMARY OF ISRAELI VIOLATIONS

The following summary tables and overview of events survey hostile Israeli activities during the period 01 April 2018 to April 30 2018. The report includes a summary table of events, classified by type, throughout the West Bank and Gaza Strip, in addition to a comparative table surveying events over the past three months. The survey is compiled from the Daily Situation Reports of the Palestinian Monitoring Group (PMG) of the Negotiations Affairs Department (NAD) of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). The PMG monitors ground conditions in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, including Israeli and Palestinian violations. The information reported through the PMG process represents data available at the time of distribution only.

Israeli settler raided the vicinity of Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem on several occasions. *April 2nd 2018: Israeli forces closed the Ibrahimi Mosque in the Old City of Hebron in front of the citizens and prevent them from praying inside, on the grounds that the settlers can celebrate and perform the Talmudic rites on the occasion of the Jewish "Easter" Holiday. *April 6th 2018: Israeli forces prevented the call for prayer to be announced for Friday prayers in Al-Ibrahimi mosque compound located in the old city of Hebron. *April 13th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers stormed the west area of Aqraba town set fire to the entrance of Al-Shiekh Sa'ada mosque after spraying flammable substances near the mosque entrance and as a result set fire to a section of the mosque then proceeded to spray paint racist and Ani-Arab Grafiti along the outer walls of the mosque. *April 16th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of the Israeli Military raised Israeli flags on the walls of Al-Ibrahimi mosque compound in the old city of Hebron {on the east and west walls} in celebration of Israel's 70 Independence day anniversary. *April 26th 2018: Israeli forces prevented Committee for the reconstruction of the Aqsa Mosque of the Islamic Endowments Department from doing rehabilitation work inside Al-Aqsa mosque. |

*April 3rd 2018: Israeli forces stormed the local Girls secondary school in Al-Labban Al-Sharqiya village, forced the school administration to evacuate the premises after they threatened to fire stun and tear gas canisters towards students after the alleged stoning of a settler vehicle from the local Boys secondary school in Al-Labban Al-Sharqiya village then proceeded to chase several school children inside agricultural land in the area located along the main road connecting Ramallah and Nablus. *April 9th 2018: Israeli forces demolished Znuta primary school (the 7th school in the recently opened challenge schools) which is built of bricks and Aluminum roofing which facilitates 43 students and 10 children in kindergartens and included 6 class rooms and a Health Facility for the community in Khirbet Zanuta which is located south of Al-Dhahira town on the grounds that they were not allowed to enter the Israeli-controlled Area C. *April 15th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated several tents and furniture from Zuwata school located in the Beduin community on Khirbeit Zuta area located in south Al-Thahriya town Which was set up to ensure the continuation of the teaching process and as an alternative to the school building demolished by the occupation forces (as reported on 10/04/2018). *April 23rd 2018: Israeli forces positioned near a secondary school in Al-Labban Al-Sharqiya village {which is located along the main road connecting Nablus and Ramallah} fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several school children inside the school for alleged stoning and as a result left several school children suffocated from tear gas inhalation which promoted school officials to evacuate the children from the school area then withdrew at 12:30. *April 26th 2018: Israeli forces closed the entrance of Palestine Poly-technical College near Al-Arub camp thus preventing student and employees from entering for alleged stoning during clashes on April 25th 2018. |

Analysis of Events
Killings
A total of 34 residents were killed by Israeli forces during the month of April 2018 {2 in the West Bank and 32 in Gaza}:
- April 2nd 2018: Faris Mahmoud Mohammad Al-Raqab {26 years old} {a resident of Bani Suhayla town} died of injuries sustained during clashes in east Khuz'a town located in Khan Yunis city on March 30th 2018.
- April 3rd 2018: Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards demonstrators located in east Al-Buriej camp and as a result killed Ahmad Omar Mohammad Arafa {25 years old}{A resident of Deir Al-Balah city.
- April 5th 2018: Emergency medical workers discovered the corpse of Mujahid Nabeel Marwan Al-Khader {A resident of Gaza city} in the rubble after an Israeli Missile strike towards Jaher Al-Dik town located in south east Gaza city {as mentioned in the previous report}.
- April 5th 2018: Shadi Hamdan Ali Al-Qashif {34 years old} {A Special needs patient} {A resident of Rafah city} died of injuries sustained {after being shot in the abdomen by Israeli Snipers} in east Rafah city as he was participating in demonstration on March 30th 2018.
- April 6th 2018: Thaer Mohammad Abdel-Ra'uf Raba'a {30 years old} {a resident of Jabaliya town} died of critical wounds sustained during clashes in east Jabaliya town on March 30th 2018.
- April 6th 2018: Ibrahim Ziad Salama al-'Arr {20 years old}, {A resident of Nusseirat refugee camp}, Sedqi Taleb Mohammed Abu 'Atiwi {45 years old} {A resident of Al-Bureij refugee camp}, and Hamza Abdel-Al, {23 years old} {a resident of Al-Zawaida town} {who died of critical injuries} during clashes in in Al-Buriej camp in Central Gaza district.
- April 6th 2018: Majdi Ramadan Musa Shibat {38 years old} {a resident of Beit Hanun} was killed during clashes in Beir Hanun in North Gaza district.
- April 6th 2018: the child Hussein Mohammed Adnan Madi {16 years old} {a resident of Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood in Gaza City} was killed during clashes in Gaza city.
- April 6th 2018: Israeli forces killed 2 residents {including a journalist who was critically injured as he was reporting on the clashes: Osama Khamis Muslim Qdeih {39 years old} {A residents of Abasan Al-Kabira town} and Yasser Abdel Rahman Mortaga {31 years old and a residents of Gaza City} {journalist} (after he was seriously injured) during clashes in Gaza city.
- April 6th 2018: Israeli forces killed 2 residents {including a child}: Alaa al-Din Yahya al-Zamili {16 years old}, and Muhammad Sa'id Musa al-Hajj Saleh {33 years old} during clashes in Rafah city.
- April 8th 2018: Mohammad Subhi Asmar Anbar {46 years old} {A resident of Askar camp in Nablus city} died of serious injuries sustained after he was shot by Israeli forces near "Avni Havits" settlement on April 3rd 2018.
- April 9th 2018: Marwan Awad Qadih {44 years old}{A resident of Khuza'a town} died of critical wounds sustained during clashes in east Khan Yunis town during demonstrations {Right of Return Protests} on March 30th 2018.
- April 9th 2018: Mohammad Abdel-Kareem Marshoud {30 years old}{A resident of Balata camp in Nablus city} died of injuries sustained after Israeli forces opened fire towards him near "Mishor Adumim" settlement located in Al-Khan Al-Ahmar area after he allegedly attempted a knife attack {A mentioned in the previous report}.

- April 20th 2018: Israeli forces killed Sa'ed Abdel-Majid Abdel-Al Abu Taha {31 years old} {A resident of Al-Qarara town} during clashes in in east Khuz'a town located in east Khan Yunis city.
- April 21st 2018: Abdallah Mohammad Jibril Shamali {20 years old} {A resident of Rafah city} died of injuries sustained after he was shot by an Israeli sniper in the abdomen during clashes in east Rafah city on April 20th 2018.
- April 23rd 2018: Tahreer Mahmoud Sa'id Wahba {18 years old}{A resident of Khan Yunis city] {A special needs patient who is deaf} died of critical injuries sustained during clashes in east Khuz'a town located in east Khan Yunis as she was participating in demonstrations on April 6th 2018.
- April 25th 2018: Ahmad Mohammad Ashraf Hassan Abu Hussien {24 years old} {A Journalist} {a resident of Jabaliya camp} died of critical injuries sustained during clashes in east Jabaliya town on April 13th 2018.
- April 27th 2018: Israeli forces killed 2 residents: Khalil Na'im Mustafa Atallah {22 years old} {A resident of Gaza City} and Mohammed Amin Ahmed Al-Maqid {21 years old} {A Residents of Al-Shati refugee camp in Gaza City} during clashes in east Khuz'a town located in east Khan Yunis city.
- April 27th 2018: Israeli forces killed 2 residents {including a child}: Azzam Hilal Aweida {14 years old} {A residents of Khan Yunis city}, Abdel Salam Eid Zuhdi Bakr {33 years old} {A residents of Khan Yunis camp} during clashes in east Khuz'a town located in east Khan Yunis city.
- April 29th 2018: Israeli forces opened fire towards and killed 2 residents: Attiyah Mohammed al-Amawi and Yusuf Ahmad al-Amawi (both of whom are in their twenties) {both are residents of Khan Yunis} as they attempted to climb the border fence into Israel.
- April 29th 2018: Isreali forces killed the child Yusef Jasser Abu Jazar {16 years old} {A resident of Rafah city} after opened fire towards 2 residents {including a child} as they attempted to climb the border fence from east Rafah city.
Injuries
A total of 1418 injuries were reported in the month of April 2018 (115 Palestinians in the West Bank and 1303 in the Gaza Strip). Injuries included 14 children, 5 Journalists and 4 Paramedic.

Closure
Especially on Fridays, the Israeli military continues to intensify restrictions at checkpoints located at the entrances of Jerusalem, and to restrict entrance to the Al Aqsa Mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem, preventing worshippers from accessing the Mosque. At the Qalandiya checkpoint north of Jerusalem, the Israeli military continues to prevent PNA registered civilian vehicles from crossing the checkpoint towards Ar Ram and Qalandiya as well as Dahiyat al Bareed. The checkpoint is overcrowded daily, particularly during rush hours, due to intensified restrictions and search measures applied by Israeli troops. During the month of March 2018 the Israeli military also continued to intensify restrictions at the Tayasir checkpoint and Al Hamra junction checkpoint leading to the Jordan Valley area, only allowing access to civilians whose IDs indicate District of Jericho residence or others holding special access permits. In addition, restrictions were intensified and civilian access was obstructed at the Za’tara junction checkpoint (separating the northern and central West Bank districts) as well as at the As Sawahira ash Sharqiya (the ‘Container’) checkpoint (separating the central and southern West Bank districts).
The Israeli military installed 347 flying checkpoints in April 2018 (compared with 321 in March 2018 and 348 in February 2018) and as a result restricted the free access and movement of residents, merchant supplies and agricultural goods.

The Israeli military carried out a total of 502 raids in Palestinian residential areas during the month of April 2018, including 491 in the West Bank and 11 in the Gaza Strip. Attacks on residential areas in West Bank districts
Home Demolition
During the month of April 2018, the Israeli military demolished 3 Palestinian homes and residential tents, which consisted of the following:
- April 10th 2018: Israeli forces demolished a home {under construction} owned by Hijazi Mahmoud in Jibiya village for allegedly being built without a licence.
- April 24th 2018: Israeli forces demolished the home of Ahmad Jamal Qambah {A Palestinian Detainee} using explosives detonation during their raid into Jenin city.
April 24th 2018: Israeli forces demolished a Tent owned by Khader Al-Nawaj'a located in Rajm Al-Hamra area located near "Sussiya" settlement located in east Yatta town.
Attack on Public and Private property occurred as follows per District:
Jerusalem:
- April 18th 2018: Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city based on decision made by the Minister of the occupation army for the closure of the (Elia Youth Media centre) which is located on Salah al-Din street in the city.
- April 22nd 2018: Israeli forces demolished a wall as they stormed a print shop owned by Raji Hamid in Beit Annan town and confiscated printing equipment and computers.
- April 28th 2018: Israeli authorities issued an order forcing Eyad Ramadan to demolish a parking Garage section of his home in Wadi Hilawa area located in Silwan neighbourhood of Jerusalem city for allegedly being built without a licence and forced him to pay a hefty fine.
Ramallah & Al-Bireh:
- April 12th 2018: Israeli forces raided Shuqba village , demolished facilities owned by Hani Salama Al-Masri, Hazim Suliman Mutawi', Nader Mohammad Shalash, Musbah Yusef Al-Masri and Falah Yusef Al-Masri.
Jenin:
- April 24th 2018: Israeli forces damaged 4 homes near the area as they demolished the home of Ahmad Jamal Qambah {A Palestinian Detainee} using explosive detonation during their raid into Jenin town.
Tubas:
- April 24th 2018: the Israeli military forced 5 families out of their home in Humsat area located in the North Jordan valley region from 06:00 until 14:00 on April 24th 2018 for alleged military training in the area {which was based on a prior military order given to local residents}.
- April 24th 2018: Israeli forces stormed Bardala village located in the North Jordan valley area and leveled several plots of land and uprooted 280 Olive trees owned by Hussain Nimr Hassan Sawafta, Iyad Abdel Raouf Mahmoud Harish Sawafta, Ibrahim Mohamed Said Sawfta.
- April 29th 2018: Israeli forces stormed Bardala village located in the North Jordan valley region and uprooted several Olive groves which were planted in place of trees destroyed and uprooted by Israeli forces on April 25th 2018.
Bethlehem:
- April 15th 2018: Israeli forces prevented residents in Wadi Salem area located in North Nihalin village several employees of Nihalin Municipality from constructing a water pipe network which will be used to provide drinking water for 2 homes in the area for allegedly being built without licencing during which A bulldozer and a truck with water pipes belonging to Medeco were seized by Israeli forces.
- April 16th 2018: Israeli forces stormed B'ir Unat area located near "Gilo" bridge located in North Beit Jallah city and demolished a storage den owned by Emad Abdel Aziz Abdel Hadi Hamida.
- April 28th 2018: Israeli forces stormed Khirbat Aliya area located in Al-Khader town and served a military order to halt construction on a home owned by Samih Ahmad Mahmoud Salah for allegedly being built without a licence.
Hebron:
- April 1st 2018: Israeli forces positioned near Al-Tuwani village located in east Yatta town temporarily seized an agricultural tractor owned by Mahmoud Hussien Al-Hamamda.
- April 19th 2018: the Israeli military forced several residents to halt construction on an agricultural road in Al-Abed area (Khallet Taha) located west of the town of Dura near "Negohot" settlement.
North Gaza:
- April 14th 2018: Israeli Naval vessels damaged a Palestinian fishing boats as it chased it off the shores of Al-Waha area located in North West Beit Lahiya town
Confiscation of Property:
Jerusalem:
- April 22nd 2018: Israeli forces confiscated printing equipment and computers owned by Raji Hamid as well as demolishing a wall after storming his print shop in Beit Annan town.
Ramallah & Al-Bireh:
- April 27th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated surveillance camera footage from "Al-Barq" Gas station during their raid into Al-Jalazoun camp.
Jenin:
- April 13th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated 10000 NIS after storming the home of Mohammad Nasser Alaqma during their raid into Bart'a village.
- April 18th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated steel mill equipment owned by Hisham Al-Rakh after storming a steel mill during their arid into Jenin city.
- April 18th 2018: Israeli forces positioned at Barta'a military checkpoint confiscated a truck owned by Ibrahim Ahmad Ali Zied {A resident of Um Al-Rihan village} for allegedly suspecting he is carrying explosive in the truck}.

- April 2nd 2018: Israeli forces confiscated 600 NIS after detaining Aws Mohamed Ahmed Khader Husari as they stormed and searched his home during their raid into Tulkarem city.
- April 17th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated 1600 NIS and a Gold Dinar after storming and searching the home of Abdel-Jaber Ahmad Ghazalat during their raid into Kafr Al-Labbad village.
Qalqiliya:
- April 18th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated a vehicle owned by Yusef Nidal Yusef Nazal after detaining him during their raid into Qalqiliya city.
- April 26th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated 10000 NIS AND 1000 JD from the home of Abdel-Fattah Nimer Swilim during their raid into Qalqiliya city {as mentioned in the previous report}.

- April 30th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated equipment from a car wash owned by Nael Rashid Abdallah after closing down a car wash in Deir Ballout town for allegedly being built without a licence.

- April 17th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated a cellular telephone owned by Ibrahim Sulaiman Jamil Dadaoua {a secondary school student} after detaining him in Al-Khader town.
- April 25th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated 4000 NIS from the home of Qutayba Issa Saleh and 6000 NIS from the home of Hassan Mohammad Ali Wardiyan and a "Mercedes" vehicle owned by Khalil Yusef Khali Al-Zir during their raid into Bethlehem city.
- April 25th 2018: Israeli forces equipment from a car wash lot owned by Ibrahim Abdel-Hay Abu Shusha and also confiscated a Forklift and a Bulldozer from a used vehicle spare parts shop owned by Ashraf Ja'afra during their raid into Husan village.
Hebron:
- April 12th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated a computer and a cellular telephone from the home of Mohammad Abdel-Bassit Al-Haroub {who was deported to the Gaza strip}. during their raid into Deir Sammit village.
- April 13th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated approximately 40 KG of Silver from a Jewellery Shop owned by Suliman Yunis Al-Haroub {after detaining him in Deir Sammit village} during their raid into Hebron city.
- April 24th 2018: Israeli forces stormed Rajm Al-Hamra area located near "Sussiya" settlement located in east Yatta town and confiscated a Tent owned by Khader Al-Nawaj'a.

- April 25th 2018: Israeli forces confiscated a backhoe loader and a dump truck whilst digging to construct a Water well on a plot of land owned by Na'im Abu Mariya during their raid into Beit Ummar town.

*April 17th 2018: Israeli forces escorting military bulldozers stormed Immatin village and levelled 15 dunums of agricultural land owned by Fawzi Nasser Ghanam for the purpose of expanding "Immanuel" settlement after Israeli Military courts issued an order for the levelling.
*April 23rd 2018: Israeli forces escorting Military bulldozers stormed Sur Baher village and levelled 56 dunums {acres} of agricultural land owned by Nimr, Amira, Awwad Awidat families for the purpose of settlement expansion.

- April 5th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers stormed Beit Hanina town, slashed the tires of several residents and spray painted racist and anti-Arab graffiti on several other vehicles.
- April 15th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers stormed Bab Al-Rahma Islamic Cemetery in the old city of Jerusalem and demolished a tomb stone.
- April 23rd 2018: a group of Israeli settlers stormed Beit Iksa village and slashed the tires of approximately 20 vehicles and spray painted racist and anti-Arab graffiti on the vehicles.
Ramallah &Al-Bireh:
- April 5th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers stormed Turmus'aya town, vandalized the memorial of Minister Ziyad Abu Ein then removed it 10 meters away from its place.
- April 5th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers from "Bet El" settlement stoned residents and vehicles passing along the main road leading to Al-Jalazun camp.
- April 15th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Al-Mazra'a Al-Gharbiya and chopped off the limbs of several Olive trees during which Israeli forces fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents who attempted to prevent the settler attack.
- April 19th 2018: a group of armed Israeli settlers stormed Ein Al-Harsha area in Al-Mazra'a Al-Gharbiya village during which Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters towards several residents who attempted to prevent the settlers from entering the area.
- April 23rd 2018: a group of Israeli settlers slashed the tires of a vehicle owned by Ali Abdel Majid Shukhat in Ramoun village and withdrew at a later time.

- April 2nd 2018: a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of the Israeli Military stormed the area of "Tarsala" settlement {which was previous abandoned} then performed Talmudic rituals and chanted anti-Arab and racist slogans.

- April 27th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers stormed Khilat Hamad area located in the North Jordan valley region and chased several shepherds who were herding their goats in the area.
Nablus:
- April 1st 2018: a group of Israeli settler from "Yitmar" settlement herded their goats on civilian owned agricultural land in Khirbiet Yanoun area located in Aqraba town.
- April 17th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers stormed Al-Labban Al-Sharqiya village and slashed the tire of approximately 30 vehicles and spray painted racist graffiti on the vehicles and home walls.
- April 17th 2018: a group of Israeli from "Yitshar" settlement stormed agricultural land in Madma village and assaulted several farmers and uprooted several trees during which Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents as they attempted to prevent the settler attack.
- April 18th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Orof village and uprooted 25 grape vines and Olive trees owned by Raed Sabah and Naji Shihadeh then spray painted racist and anti-arab graffiti on the walls of a storage Den.
- April 20th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers stormed Burqa village, slashed the tires of approximately 45 vehicles and spray painted racist graffiti then withdrew after local residents approached them
- April 20th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Burin village and chopped off the limbs of 100 Olive trees owned by Mohammad Raja Zein.
- April 24th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers positioned near Beit Furiq town opened fire towards several children for alleged stoning of his vehicle during which they withdrew under the protection of the Israeli military.
- April 24th 2018: a group of Israeli settler positioned near Burin village secondary school during which Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several school children as they attempted to stop the settler attack then withdrew at 11:50.
- April 25th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers stormed east area of Jallud village near "Esh Kodesh" and "Ahiya" settlements then slashed the tires of 4 vehicles and spray painted anti-Arab and racist slogans onto the vehicles.
Qalqiliya:
- April 4th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers from "Hivat Gilad" settlement located in Fa'rata village, slashed the tires of 5 vehicles owned by: Mahmoud Mohammed Suleiman, Rabhi Sadeq Tawil, Abdul Rahman Ibrahim Salah, and Haytham Saleh Salah then spray painted racist graffiti and anti-Arab slogans on the vehicles and homes.
- April 9th 2018: An Israeli settler driving his vehicle along the main road in Jit village ran over 2 children: Annan Mohammed Arman, and Diaa Mutasim Arman as they were walking to school and as a result left them hospitalized with contusions.
Salfit:
- April 29th 2018: a Israeli settler assaulted Uhoud Al-Khafash {A journalist}{A resident of Marda village} as she was recording Israeli military bulldozers that were levelling agricultural land in Lafr Al-Dik town located near "Alei Zahav" settlement and as a result left her hospitalized with cuts and contusions.
Jericho:
- April 23rd 2018: An Israeli settlers from "Tomer"{settlement assaulted Musa Mahmoud Hussien Nuwarat {A resident of Fasayil village} as he attempted to steal his herd of goats.
Bethlehem:
- April 1st 2018: a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Al-Fuwar area located in Wadi Fuqin village and positioned near Agricultural ponds then obstructed the work of several farmers.
Hebron:
- April 1st 2018: a group of Israeli settlers stormed Ein Al-Far'a archaeological site located in North Dura town and installed a tent and conducted Talmudic rituals.
- April 1st 2018: a group of Israeli settler from "Kafr Itsiyon" settlement pumped sewage waste from the settlement onto agricultural land in Beit Umar town and as a result damaged 40 dunumes of agricultural land planted with grape vines.
- April 6th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers stormed Al-Shlah area located in the old city of Hebron threw glass bottles and trash on to the home of Abdel-Ghanni Qufshiya and stole a water tank from the rooftop.
- April 9th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers positioned near bypass road (60) wrote racist and anti-Arab graffiti on the road signs in the area which is located near Al-Samou' town.
- April 14th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers from "Migon" settlement located near Al-Tuwani village located in east Yatta town stoned residents and homes during which local residents were able to chase the settlers from the area.
- April 16th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers assaulted the home of Abu Rajab family in the old city of Hebron.
- April 18th 2018: Israeli settlers stormed Al-Salayma neighbourhood in the old city of Hebron and assaulted several school children as they were returning home from school and then slandered and cursed the children.
- April 18th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers from "Beit Betar" settlement located in south east Yatta town assaulted several shepherds who were herding their sheep in Wadi Al-Najar area near the settlement.
- April 21st 2018: a group of Israeli settlers stormed 2 homes owned by Jaber and Qufshiya families in Al-Sahlat area in the old city of Hebron after stoning them then verbal assaulted its residents and threatened to seize the homes.
- April 28th 2018: a group of Israeli settlers stormed Al-Shlat area in the old city of Hebron and attacked 2 homes owned by Jaber and Qufshiya families during which Israeli forces temporarily detained 3 residents as they attempted to prevent the settler attack then released them at a later time.
Closure of Crossing Points
The Israeli military completely closed crossing points into the Gaza Strip, including access points within the Green Line, on 161 occasions during the month of April 2018. The Israeli military closed crossing points within the Green Line on 108 occasions. It opened Beit Hanun (Erez) Crossing for 24 days for previously-coordinated humanitarian cases and foreign nationals and Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing for 18 days for transportation of food supplies, humanitarian aid, and cooking gas. In addition to allowing in animal feed, construction cargo designated for UNRWA and internationally-funded projects was transported through the Crossing. Sufa Crossing was closed throughout the month. On the other hand, the Israeli authorities have continued to unilaterally close Ash Shuja’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Israeli authorities has also continued to completely close Al Muntar (Karnei) Commercial Crossing.
The Israeli military closed international crossing points on 53 occasions. Rafah Crossing was closed on 23 occasions. Yasser Arafat International Airport has remained closed since the outbreak of the second Intifada.
