DAILY SITUATION REPORT January 5 2023

At dawn on 01/05/2023, the occupation forces raided Qalandia camp, and detained 3 citizens (including a citizen and his son).

1. At 10:00, the occupation forces detained the citizen: Issa Ali Atoun - residents of Sur Baher village.
2. The 3 detainees in Qalandia camp are: Youssef Abd al-Rahim al-Khatib, Raed Fayez Mutair, and his son Samed.

At 24:00, the occupation forces fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters towards citizens, in the village of Al-Issawiya for alleged stoning.

At 09:30, the occupation authorities demolished a house belonging to the citizen: Muhammad Ahmad Asi Al-Awar, in the Silwan neighborhood of Jerusalem, under the pretext of not having a license.

On 01/01/2023, a group of settlers in the Mount Zion area of the city of Jerusalem broke and vandalized more than 30 tombstones, some engraved images, and broke some crosses on Christian graves in the Protestant cemetery.

1. At 08:15, the occupation forces set up 3 checkpoints at the entrances to the town of Turmusaya and the villages of Beitin and Ras Karkar, to search vehicles and verify citizens' identities.

At 08:55, the occupation forces demolished an agricultural room and a well for collecting water in the Al-Khalil area in the village of Al-Mughair, and uprooted 250 olive seedlings on agricultural land owned by the two citizens: Akram Al-Naasan and Uday Abu Alia, under the pretext that it is located in the classified area (C) under Israeli control.

At 10:15 and again at 03:40, the occupation forces raided the town of Hawara, and forced shop owners to close their shops, under the pretext of throwing stones at settler vehicles passing through the town center and they detained 2 citizens (one of whom was a a General Intelligence Service officer).

4. At 12:55, the occupation forces raided the village of Al-Naqoura, and conducted a patrol.
5. At 13:05, the occupation forces raided the village of Burqa, and conducted a patrol.
6. At 01:55, the occupation forces raided Balata camp in the city of Nablus, where clashes took place with the citizens, while they surrounded and searched a house, which resulted in the death of a child and the injury of a citizen, and they also arrested a citizen.
7. At 07:10, the occupation forces raided the northern town of Asira, and conducted a patrol.

1. The two detainees in the town of Hawara are: Al-Askari - Muhammad Hamed Hashash, and Ahmed Saeed Araysha - both residents of Balata camp in Nablus.
2. The detainee in Balata camp in the city of Nablus is: Hassan Nafez Araysha.

At 01:55, the occupation forces fired live ammunition and rubber coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged shooting and stoning during the raid into Balata camp in Nablus, while they were besieging and searching a house, and as a result killed a child and the injured
another a citizen.

The child: Amer Abu Zeitoun, 16 years old was killed during clashes with the occupation forces in Balata camp in Nablus.

The civilian: Muhammad Hashash was injured during clashes with the occupation forces in Balata camp in Nablus.

At 15:50, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the western entrance to the village of Haris, to search vehicles and verify citizens' identities.

At 09:40, the occupation forces demolished, a live stock den for sheep farming, owned by the citizen: Khairy Ibrahim Sobeih, in the Abu Sud area in the town of Al-Khader,under the pretext of not being licensed.

1. At 22:45, the occupation forces raided Hebron, the raid was repeated at 01:25, and they conducted a patrol.
2. At 01:40, the occupation forces raided the town of Yatta and detained a citizen.
3. At 07:35, the occupation forces raided the village of Al-Karma, and detained a citizen.

At 10:20, the occupation forces positioned near the entrance to Al-Arroub camp fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning and as a result injured a child.

The child: Alaa Hassan Abu Shamaa, 14 years old was injured during clashes with the occupation forces near the entrance to Al-Arroub camp.

At 11:55, the occupation forces confiscated a bulldozer owned by the citizen: Muhammad Ahmed Samamra in the town of Al-Dhahiriya,.
