WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure
  1. On February 19th 2016, the Israeli army, intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers under the age of 50 from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
  2. The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
  3. The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.
Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
  2. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint. 
Military Checkpoints
  1. Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
  2. On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.
  3. At 12:10, Israeli forces closed Jaba’ checkpoint located along the main road connecting Jerusalem, Ramallah and Jericho and impeded the free flow of traffic until reopening it at a later time.
Raid
  1. At 07:30 on February 19th 2016, Israeli forces raided Abu Dis until 08:30.
  2. At 23:10, Israeli forces raided Biddu town, clashed with several residents and injured a unidentified individual after a Israeli Military vehicle ran him over leaving him hospitalised.
Killings
  1. At 09:15, Mohammad Ziyad Mohammad Abu Khalaf (20 years old){Kafr Aqab village}was killed after Israeli forces opened fire towards him near Bab Al-Amoud area  for allegedly attempting to stab 2 Israeli settlers
Attack
  1. At 14:30, Israeli forces positioned in the vicinity of Shu’fat checkpoint fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning
  2. At 15:30, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Ram junction fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
  3. At 15:30, Israeli forces positioned in Al-Jabal area junction in Abu Dis fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
House Demolition
  1. At 14:00, Israeli forces stormed Jabal Mukabir neighbourhood in Jerusalem and forced Issa Hassan Hilis to demolish a section of his home {consisting of 2 rooms} and to pay a financial penalty for allegedly building it without a licence.
Settlers Violence
  1. At 05:00 on February 19th 2016, Israeli settlers stormed Batn Al-Hawa area in Silwan and pumped sewage waste towards several homes in the area.
Closure of Wall Gates
  1. The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
  2. The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
  2. On December 15th 2015, Israeli forces closed the West entrance of Al-Labban Al-Gharbi village with cement blocks.
  3. At 09:20 on February 9th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Shuqba and Shbatin villages with cement blocks and also installed a steel gate in the area.
  4. At 24:00 on February 14th 2016, closed the main road near the entrance of “Bet El” settlement which leads to Al-Jalazoun camp with cement blocks for alleged gunfire.
Flying Checkpoints
  1. At 09:45 and again at 18:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Ein Siniya village located along the main road connecting Ramallah and Nablus then searched residents and vehicles until 20:30
  2. At 14:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Atarah Bridge located in North Bir Ziet then searched residents and vehicles.
  3. At 13:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Dur Al-Qare’ village and prevented vehicles from travelling to Ramallah.
Raid
  1. At 19:30, Israeli forces raided Khirbithat Al-Misbah village, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 23:00.
  2. At 01:00, Israeli forces raided Beit Rima, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 05:35.
Attack
  1. At 13:20, Israeli forces positioned in the vicinity of “Ofar” Military base/ Prison fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 2 residents including  the child Sabri Subhi Abu Sa’et (17 years old) and Islam Ahmad Shaladeh.
  2. At 15:10, Israeli forces positioned at the entrance of Al-Jalazoun camp fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
  3. At 15:10, Israeli forces positioned in the vicinity of “Pesagout” settlement located in east Al-Bireh city fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and detained a child.
Killings
  1. At 16:25, Abed Raed Hamad (22 years old) {A University Student}{A resident of Silwad} was killed after Israeli forces opened fire towards him for allegedly attempting to run over a Israeli soldier with his vehicle beneath Silwad bridge.
Detention
  1. Israeli forces positioned in the vicinity of “Pesagout” settlement located in east Al-Bireh city detained the child Ameer Ibrahim Hanoun (17 years old) {A resident of Anabta in Tulklarem}.
Demonstrations
  1. At 13:00, a demonstration took place in Bil’in protesting against the construction of the wall during which they clashed with Israeli forces and as a result left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
  2. At 15:10, a demonstration took place in Ni’lin village protesting against the construction of the wall during which they clashed with Israeli forces and as a result suffocated several residents from tear gas inhalation.

JENIN

Closure
  1. On December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area  {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area  and declared the area a closed military zone.
Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan.
  2. At 14:50 on February 5th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Jenin city and Qabatiya with dirt mounds.
Raid
  1. At 16:35, Israeli forces raided Arraba and clashed with several residents.
  2. At 21:00, Israeli forces raided Ya’bad, set up a checkpoint at its entrance, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 00:25.
Closure of Wall Gates
  1. Israeli forces continue too close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints
  1. Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and impeded the free flow of traffic.
Raid
  1. At dawn on February 19th 2016, Israeli forces raided Attil and detained a resident.
  2. At 14:10, Israeli forces raided Shwekiya neighbourhood in Tulkarem.
  3. At 21:45, Israeli forces raided Tulkarem until 02:45.
Detention
  1. Israeli forces detained Ma’en Ibrahim Abdel-Fattah Yassin in Attil.

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads
  1. Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
  2. In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
  3. Since 16:55 on December 18th 2014, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with dirt mounds
  4. Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate.
Raid
  1. At 19:40, Israeli forces raided Immatin village.
Temporary Detention
  • On the evening of February 19th 2016, Israeli forces positioned near Qaddumim settlement temporarily detained 5 residents including 3 children: Kareem Abdel-Ra’uf Ghannam (16 years old), Mohammad Riyad Bari (16 years old)Yahyab Fayez Abu Shab (17 years old), Yahya Issa and Moath Ghannam.
Demonstrations
  • At 12:40, a demonstration took place in Kafr Qaddum against the closure of the east entrance during which they clashed with Israeli forces tried to disrupt the demonstration by firing live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards demonstrators who attempted to reach they demonstration site and as a result injured Alaa Badarnah and left several residents suffocating from tear gas inhalation
Closure of Wall Gates
  1. The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
  2. The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Closure
  1. Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.
Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close the roads of Til-Burin and Beit Furik-Salem; the settler bypass road connecting the village of Deir al Hatab to the settlement of Alon Moreh; the road connecting the town of ‘Aqraba to the village of Osrin; and the detour road between the town of Qabalan and the village of Osrin.
  2. The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
  3. At 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
  4. On November 29th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Burin, Awarta and Osirin as well as the agricultural bypass road connecting Aqraba and Qabalan village with dirt mounds.
  5. At 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.
  6. At 18:30 on January 19th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Huwara and Walada village with dirt mounds.
Military Checkpoints
  1. At 09:20, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Huwara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 10:00.
Flying Checkpoints
  1. At 16:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the entrance of Assirah Al-Shimaliya then searched residents and vehicles until 17:30.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
  2. On 15.04.2012, the Israeli army has opened the northern entrance to Salfit city to civilian which was closed since the year 2000 and prevented access from 08:00 until 09:20.
  3. Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.
Military Checkpoints
  1. Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.
Raid
  1. At 10:45, Israeli forces raided Yasuf village, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 11:15.
Temporary Detention
  1. At 13:00, Israeli forces positioned near “Barqan” settlement temporarily detained 3 residents: Odah Abdallah Ali Ahmad {A National Security force officer}, Ahmad Abdallah Ali Ahmad and Mahmoud Abdallah Ali Ahmad then released them at 18:30.
Physical Assault
  1. At 14:40, Ahmad Mahmoud Ibrahim Ali Ahmad was hospitalised after Israeli forces assaulted him near Azzun Atma village in Qalqiliya.

JERICHO

BETHLEHEM

Closure
  1. The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
  2. Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.
Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala  ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to  Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
  2. The Israeli army continues to close the road leading to “Newe Daniyyel” settlement and agricultural land in Al-Khader; a road between  Um Tuba and Wadi Al-Hums: Wadi Fukin, Al-Jaba, the Green Line; a road between Za’tara and a detour road, and a road between Taqou and Khirbet Al-Deir with cement blocks.
  3. Since August 2nd 2012, Israeli forces closed a road leading to Beit Jalla.
  4. Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.
  5. Since June 3rd 2013, the Israeli army closed the road connecting Nihalin and road 60 with dirt mounds.
  6. Since 13:20 on September 29th 2013, the Israeli army closed a road leading to 50 acres of agricultural land in Wadi Salem area in Al-Khadr with dirt mounds.
  7.  Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Surif and Al-Jub’a village with dirt mounds.
  8. On January 28th 2014, Israeli forces closed the steel gate at the entrance of Nihalin { replacing the dirt mounds placed at the entrance since the year 2002} and placed time schedule for opening the gate from 06:00 until 14:00 on a daily bases.
  9. Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
  10. At 14:50 on November 28th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Um Al-Raqaba area located in Al-Khader with cement blocks.
  11. At 13:45 on January 17th 2016, Israeli forces closed the south entrance of Nihalin village with a steel gate.
  12. At 20:00 on January 18th 2016, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Jinata with earth mounds.
  13. At 15:45 on February 17th 2016 Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Taqou’ and Harmalah village with Cement blocks.
Flying Checkpoints
  1. At 12:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Beit Jalah then searched residents and vehicles until 13:20.
  2. At 08:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Dar Salah village located at the east entrance of Beit Sahour then searched residents and vehicles until 14:00.
Attack
  1. At 13:10, Israeli forces positioned Al-Ayda camp located in North Bethlehem fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
  2. At 15:15, Israeli forces positioned at the west entrance of Beit Fajjar fired live ammunition; rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result killed a resident and injured the child Yusef Wajeeh Thawabteh (17 years old) and detained a resident.
     
  3. At 15:30, Israeli forces positioned at the west entrance of Taqou’ fired stun and tear gas  grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
     
  4. At 16:00, Israeli forces positioned in the vicinity of Billal Bin Rabah Mosque in North Bethlehem fired live ammunition; rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 2 residents including a child: Mu’taz Ibrahim  Musalim Barqa’a (13 years old) and Abdel-Rahman Mohammad Odeh.
  5. At 16:40, Israeli forces positioned in Um Al-Rakaba area in Al-Khader fired Bethlehem fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
Killings
  1. Israeli forces opened fire towards and killed Khalid Tariq Yusef Taqatqa (21 years old) near the entrance of Beit Fajjar.
Detention
  1. Israeli forces positioned near the west entrance of Beit Fajjar detained Ali Abdallah Taqatqa.

HEBRON

Closure
  1. The Israeli army continues to close Al-Shuhada’ Street, Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
  2. Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.
Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Al-Thahiriya and Al-Samoa’ towns, Al-‘Arrub refugee camp, and Al-Tuwani and Al-Karmil villages. 
  2. The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
  3. The Israeli army continues to close all roads leading to Road # 60 as well as detour roads along the settler bypass road leading to Yatta town.
  4. The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds a detour road leading to e to Al-Simiya village, the southern entrance of Al-Samou’ and the entrance of Beit Annun with cement blocks.
  5. At 05:50 on November 5th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance leading Farsh Al-Hawa area in Hebron with Cement blocks.
  6. At 10:30 on November 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the junction located near “Hagi” settlement located in south Hebron with cement blocks.
  7. At 21:00 on November 11th 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Beit Awwa and Al-Majd village with cement block and dirt mounds.
  8. On December 9th 2015, Israeli forces closed a road near Jabal Jallis area located in the old city of Hebron and closed the bypass road.
Attack
  1. At 18:40, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Aroub camp fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result shattered the windshield of a vehicle owned by Mohammad Ahmad Al-Adabra after firing tear gas grenades towards it.
Settlers Violence
  1. At 10:20, a group of Israeli settlers positioned near “Beit Romana” settlement outpost in the old city of Hebron stoned residents and vehicles.
GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

  1. At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of  increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.
  2. Israeli forces broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza, Gaza, Central Gaza, as a result injured 7 residents.
  3. Israeli Naval vessels broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points
  1. Beit Hanun (Erez) is Beit Hanun (Erez) open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businessmen and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.
Attack
  1. At 08:40, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area in west Beit Lahiya.
  2. At 12:00, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area in west Beit Lahiya.
  3. At 13:10, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area in west Beit Lahiya.
  4. At 14:30, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents in the vicinity of Beit Hanun (Erez) Crossing point as they were participating in demonstration protesting against the continues Israeli Military and settler assault on Al-Aqsa mosque compound and as a result injured 4 residents.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points
  1. Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
  2. Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
Attack
  1. At 14:00, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents located in the vicinity of Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing in east Gaza fired tear gas grenades towards several residents   in North Beit Lahiya Jabaliya as they were protesting the Israeli Military and settler assault on Al-Aqsa mosque compound and as a result injured 3 residents.
  2. At 14:15, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards several residents near Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing point located in Al-Shuja’iya neighbourhood in east Gaza city.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack
  1. At 14:30, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards several residents in east Al-Buriej camp as they were protesting against Israeli assault on Al-Aqsa mosque compound and against Palestinian citizens and as a result injured 4 residents as well as leaving several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points
  1. Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
  2. Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed
