WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

*Since 24:00 on October 1st 2016, the Israeli Military imposed a full closure on all West Bank Districts for the "Jewish New Year" thus prevented residents and employees including those with valid entry permits from entering Jerusalem and Israel with the exception of Diplomats, Non-Governmental Organization members, Humanitarian and emergency medical cases until 24:00 on October 4th 2016.

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 22:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Biddu town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 22:30, Israeli forces raided Anata town and detained a resident.

Detention

1.At 04:00 on October 2nd 2016, Israeli forces detained Mohammad Jamal Abdel-Jameed Sajdiya during their raid into Qalandiya camp in addition to those mentioned in the previous report.
2. At 22:30, Israeli forces detained 5 residents: Mohammad Hamad Hameed, Ammar Al-Baya', Mahmoud Handiya, Yusef Al-Shiekh Omar and Ahmad Al-Shubaki in Shu'fat neighborhood in Jerusalem city.
3. Israeli forces detained Assad Amarin in Anata town.

Deportation

On October 2nd 2016, Israeli forces served military orders preventing 3 residents {including a Woman}: Zahra Qus (2 months), Yusef Mukhier (3 months) and Abu Salah Al-Sharfa ( 2 weeks) from entering Al-Aqsa mosque compound.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 16:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Ras Kar Kar village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 16:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Halhoul town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1.At 22:50, Israeli forces raided Al-Bireh city and detained a resident.
2. At 02:15, Israeli forces raided Abu Shukhiduim village until 02:55.
3. At 02:25, Israeli forces raided Silwad town until 03:30.
4. At 03:15, Israeli forces raided Beitin village, stormed and searched several homes and summoned Mahmoud Thalji Hamad {a University student } to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 04:30.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Loai Rajab Nimr {A resident of Al-Amari camp} in Al-Bireh city.

QALQILIYA

Settlers Attacks

At 18:00, Israeli settlers positioned near Azzun town junction stoned residents and vehicles travelling along the main road connecting Qalqilya and Nablus roads and as a result damaged a vehicle owned by Samih Nazal.

Destruction of Property

At 18:00, a vehicle owned by Samih Nazal was damaged after Israeli settlers positioned near Azzun town junction stoned residents and vehicles travelling along the main road connecting Qalqilya and Nablus roads.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

At 11:25, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Huwara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 13:00.

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Burin village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 08:45, Israeli forces raided Sabastiya village.
2. At 00:40, Israeli forces raided Deir Al-Hatab village as they conducted military training in the area then withdrew at 02:00.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 10:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Marda village then searched residents and vehicles until 13:10.
2. At 17:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Iskaka village bridge then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 10:30, Israeli forces raided Marda village, occupied the home of Ayoub Abdel-Azziz Suliman and converted its rooftop into a military post then withdrew at 13:15.

JERICHO

At 02:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles until 03:05.

At 03:00 on October 2nd 2016, Israeli forces raided Aqbat Al-Jabr camp in Jericho city and detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Khalil Hazim Mohammad Dawas in Aqbat Jaber camp in Jericho city.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1.At 08:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Dar Salah village { located at the east entrance of Beit Sahour city} then searched residents and vehicles until 11:00.
2. At 08:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Fajjar town then searched residents and vehicles until 10:50.
3. At 17:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Jallah city then searched residents and vehicles.
4. At 20:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Oja village then searched residents and vehicles until 20:45.
5. At 22:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Jurat Al-Sham'a village then searched residents and vehicles until 01:00.

Raid

At 19:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Khader town, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 19:30.

Attack

At 19:00, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Al-Khader town.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:15, Israeli forces set up 2 checkpoints at Ithna and Al-Fuwar town junctions then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 11:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Khilat Hadour area located in the old city of Hebron then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 16:00, Israeli forces set up 2 checkpoints at the entrance of Farsh Al-Hawa area located in North Hebron city and Haji settlement junction located in south Hebron city then searched residents and vehicles.
4. At 19:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Ithna town then searched residents and vehicles until 01:00.

Raid

At 11:05, Israeli forces raided Al-Thahriya town then stormed and searched a home.

Assaults on Property

On October 2nd 2016, Israeli forces stormed in Khilat Al-Hajar village located in east Yatta town and served a military order for the demolition of a home owned by Mahmoud Al-Azazmah for allegedly being built with out a licence.

Closure of main Roads

At 16:00, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Al-Fah's area located in South Hebron city and prevented residents and vehicles from entering or exiting the area.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

* Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
*Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.
