WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Raid

1. At 19:30, Israeli forces raided Qanatah village and detained 2 residents.
2. At 17:35, Israeli forces raided Al-Eizariya town, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 20:35.
3. At 02:45, Israeli forces raided Al-Ram town, opened fire towards a vehicle{for allegedly not stopping} as it stormed Al-Rayan Print shop, confiscated equipment from the print shop and sealed off its entrances.

Detention

1. At 11:10, Israeli forces positioned in Al-Eizariya town detained Mohammad Suliman Basharat (A resident of Tammoun town in Tubas District) as he was travelling to work in Jerusalem city.
2. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Jassim Ali Mohammad Al-Khatib and Zakariya Mohammad Al-Khatib in Qatana village.

Attack

1. At 15:30, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Quds University Campus in Abu Dis town fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several University students for alleged stoning.
2. At 17:35, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Al-Eizariya town.
3. At 02:45, Israeli forces opened fire towards a vehicle {for allegedly not stopping} during their raid into Al-Ram town.

Temporary Detention

At 12:00, Israeli forces in Jerusalem city imposed Maher Abu Sineneh {A employee for Al-Awqaf } to home detention for a period of 7 days and fined him 1000.

Confiscation of Property

At 02:45, Israeli forces confiscated several printing equipment after storming Al-Rayan Print shop and sealed off the shop during their raid into Al-Ram town.

Assaults on Property

At 02:45, Israeli forces closed Al-Rayan Print shop and sealed off its entrances after confiscating its equipment during their raid into Al-Ram town.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 07:00 and at 16:00 on October 19th 2016, Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 16:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Atarah town bridge then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 18:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Illo village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 02:00, Israeli forces raided Bir Ziet town.
2. At 03:00, Israeli forces raided Ramallah and Al-Bireh cities until 05:10.

Killings

On the morning of October 20th 2016, Mahmoud Jamal Judah (23 years old){A resident of Ramallah city} died of injuries sustained after Israeli forces opened fire towards him during confrontations in Ramallah city in 2007 {The bullet struck his back and was embedded inside his spinal cord}( He was 14 years old during this time).

JENIN

Raid

1. At 08:35, Israeli forces raided Araba and Al-Silat Al-Thaher town & Sanour and Fahma villages until 14:30.
2. At 03:30, Israeli forces raided Qabatiya town, detained a resident then withdrew at 05:25.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Abdallah Arafat Yusef Zakarnah in Qabatiya town.

TUBAS

Raid

At 15:55, Israeli forces raided Ein Al-Bayda village until 16:40.

TULKAREM

Raid

At 18:15, Israeli forces raided Shwikiya neighborhood in Tulkarem city until 19:15.

Detention

At 04:25 on October 19th 2016, Israeli forces detained Ra'fat Murshid Abdel-Latif Ghanam during their raid into Tulkarem city in addition to those mentioned in the previous report.

Settlers Violence

At 12:45, a group of Israeli settlers stormed Ras Shomar area located in Kafr Al-Labbad village then withdrew at 19:15.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 19:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint beneath Azzun town bridge { located along the main road connecting Qalqilya and Tulkarem} then searched residents and vehicles.

Settlers Violence

At 16:00, a group of Israeli settlers from "Kedumim" settlement stormed agricultural land in Kafr Qaddum and stole Olive harvest and withdrew under the protection of the Israeli Military.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

At 19:05, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Beit Furiq checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 21:05.

Flying Checkpoints

At 10:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beita town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 09:20, Israeli forces raided Sabastiya village as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed archaeological sites in the village.
2. At 01:00, Israeli forces raided Nablus city as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed Josephs Tomb, clashed with several residents and as a result injured Hamad Yahya Idris {A resident of Askar camp} then withdrew at 04:40.

Attack

At 01:00, Israeli forces fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed Josephs tomb as they raided Nablus city and as a result injured a resident.

Injuries

At 01:00, Hamad Yahya Khalil Idris {A resident of Askar camp in Nablus city} was injured during confrontations with Israeli forces who raided Nablus city.

Temporary Detention

At 15:50, Israeli forces positioned at Huwara checkpoint temporarily detained Akram Adnan Yusef Abu Haniya {A National Security Force Officer} (A resident of Huwara town) after finding a knife in his vehicle then released him at 18:35.

SALFIT

Raid

1. At 02:30, Israeli forces raided Harris village and detained 3 residents.
2. At 02:50, Israeli forces raided Kafil Harris town.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Saber Imad Subhi Jaber, Mohammad Subhi Jaber and Annan Subhi Jaber in Harris village.

Attack

At 12:55, Israeli forces positioned at Za'tara checkpoint junction opened fire towards and killed Rahiq Shaji' Mohammad Birawi (19 years old){A resident of Assira Al-Shamaliya town in Nablus} for allegedly attempting to stab a Israeli soldier.

2. At 20:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Dar Salah village bridge {located at the east entrance of Beit Sahour} then searched residents and vehicles until 21:00.

1. At 00:10 on October 19th 2016, Israeli forces raided Nihalin village and detained 2 residents {including a child}.
2. At 19:40, Israeli forces raided Al-Ubidiya town until 20:05.
3. At 02:15, Israeli forces raided Ayda camp in Bethlehem city, clashed with several residents as they stormed a home , detained a resident until 03:00.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Mohammad Nu'man Shakarnah (14 years old) and Abdel-Kareem Mohammad Shakarnah in Nihalin village.
2. Israeli forces detained: Yusef Nour Abu Sarour in Ayda camp in Bethlehem city.

Attack

At 02:15, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed a home during their raid into Ayda camp in Bethlehem city.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Fuwar camp then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 15:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Tabaqa village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 10:30, Israeli forces raided Hebron city as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed "Onateils" Tomb then withdrew at 18:00.
2. At 14:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Karmil village located in south east Yatta town until 18:15.
3. At 00:20, Israeli forces raided Bani Na'im town.
4. At 00:30, Israeli forces raided Beit Awwa town.
5. At 01:00, Israeli forces raided Sa'ir town until 01:50.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

On October 18th & 19th 2016, Israeli forces closed Al-Ibrahimi Mosque compound in the old city of Hebron and prevented residents from conducting prayers in the mosque in order to facilitate the entry of Israeli settlers who performed Talmudic rituals inside the mosque.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• * Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.
*Israeli forces broke the ceasefire agreement by raiding and opening fire towards North Gaza district.
*Israeli Naval vessels broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Rafah district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) is partially open for humanitarian cases, international journalists, employees working for humanitarian agencies, businessmen and passengers traveling though Al-Karama Crossing.

Raid

At 07:45 on October 19th 2016, Israeli forces escorting Military bulldozers stormed 50 m into the vicinity of North east Beit Hanoun town and opened fire as they levelled a plot if land then withdrew at 10:15.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit of 624 residents {consisting of medical patients , University students and Permit holders} and the entry of 337 residents.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.

Attack

At 00:30 on October 20th 2016, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Rafah city.
