WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

•At 24:00 on October 15th 2016, the Israeli Military sealed off the West Bank for the Jewish Holiday "Sikkot" thus preventing residents and workers including those with entry permits from entering Jerusalem city and Israel with the exception of Foreign Diplomats, Humanitarian and emergency medical cases {with prior security clearance} until 24:00 on October 17th 2016.

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 22:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Duqqu village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 23:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Eizariya and Abu Dis towns until 00:30.

Detention

On October 16th 2016, Israeli forces detained 7 residents including 3 children: Mohammad Sameer Al-Abbassi (16 years old), Mohammad Jaber Al-Abbassi (16 years old), Jaber Abdel-Min'im Al-A'war (15 years old), Safir Khamis Al-Tahan, Mohammad Nabeel Abu Thiyab, Loai Issa Istalih and Majdi Kamal Al-Awar in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 11:00,Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

At 15:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Shuhada' village junction (located along the main road connecting Jenin and Nablus) then searched residents and vehicles until 16:40.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 14:40, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at "Enav" checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 15:50.

Raid

At 22:45, Israeli forces raided Far'oun village until 23:50.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 14:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint between Azzun town and Izbit Al-Tabib village then searched residents and vehicles.

Settlers Attacks

At 09:00, Israeli settlers from "Gilad" settlement outpost located in east Jit village stormed agricultural land in Jit village and harassed several Farmers attempting to reach the land to harvest Olives thus preventing them from reaching their lands because of Jewish holidays then withdrew under the protection of Israeli Military forces.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

At 11:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Beit Furiq town junction then searched residents and vehicles until 12:00.

Raid

1. At 09:00, Israeli forces raided Beit Furiq town, clashed with several resiednts then withdrew at 11:00.
2. At 01:55, Israeli forces raided Talfit village , detained a resident then withdrew at 03:20.
3. At 02:00, Israeli forces raided Awarta village, detained a resiednts then withdrew at 03:00.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained Labib Jaber Haj Mohammad in Talfit village.
2. Israeli forces detained Haza' Assad Abdel-Kareem Lulah in Awarta village.

Attack

At 09:00, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Beit Furiq town.

SALFIT

Military Checkpoints

At 09:00, Israeli forces closed Za'tara junction checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic { for the alleged burning of a Israeli settler vehicle as a result of a electrical explosion} then reopened it at 10:10.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 13:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Marah Rabah village then searched residents and vehicles until 16:00.
2. At 13:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Nashash junction { the east entrance of Bethlehem city} then searched residents and vehicles until 14:00.
3. At 14:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Dar Salah village bridge {At the east entrance of Beit Sahour city}then searched residents and vehicles until 16:00.
4. At 20:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Al-Sadr area located in Beit Jallah city then searched residents and vehicles.
5. At 23:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint during their raid into Beit Sahour city then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 23:40, Israeli forces raided Beit Sahour city and set up a checkpoint.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

At 14:00, Israeli forces set up 4 checkpoints: at the entrance of Farsh Al-Hawa area in North Hebron city, Bypass road 35 junction , and the entrances of Bani Na'im town, Ithna town and Al-Fuwar camp then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 03:40, Israeli forces raided Surif town and detained 2 residents.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Abdallah Mohammad Atiya Ighnayimat and Mohammad Ibrahim Mustafa Ighnayimat in Surif town.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

* Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.

•Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination until 13:00

Attack

At 10:15 on October 16th 2016, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shored of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

*Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit of 573 medical patients, University students and permit holders and the entry of 557 residents.
*Sufa Crossing is closed
*Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing open for the entry of Humanitarian assistance and construction
material funded by UNRWA.
