DAILY SITUATION REPORT

WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Raid

1. At 09:30, Israeli forces raided the town of Anata, and stormed the campus of her secondary school for boys, in addition to conducting a patrol. The raid was repeated at dawn today 16/10/2020 and detained 2 citizens.
2. At 14:30, Israeli forces raided Bado town, stormed and searched a house, and withdrew at 15:25.
3. At 22:00, Israeli forces raided the village of Al-Issawiya, where clashes took place with citizens as they stormed a number of homes, and detained a citizen.

Detention

1. The two detainees in the town of Anata are: Ahmed Arafat Hamdan and Muhammad Khalil Hamdan.
2. The detainee in the village of Issawiya is: Muhammad Daoud.

Deportation

On October 15, 2020, the occupation authorities in Jerusalem imposed a decision to deport the citizen: Asaad Ajaj, for a week from Al-Aqsa Mosque, as a condition for his release after they detained him earlier.

Attack

1. At 18:00, the occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas in the Shuafat Camp in Jerusalem, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones.
2. At 22:00, the occupying forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas at the citizens, during their raid into Al-Issawiya village, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones while they stormed a number of houses.

Assault on Educational sector

At 09:30, the occupation forces stormed the campus of her secondary school for boys, during their raid into Anata.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

1. At 08:00, a group of extremist settlers, under the protection of the occupation police, stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and conducted provocative tours in its courtyards and facilities.
2. At 18:00, the occupation forces raided Al-Adhami Mosque, located on Sultan Suleiman Street, in Jerusalem.

Settlement Activities

On 10/15/2020, the occupation authorities approved a plan to build 3,212 new settlement housing units distributed over a number of settlements built on citizens' lands in the West Bank governorates, within the territories occupied in 1967.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:10, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to Ras Karkar village, to search cars and verify citizens' identities

Raid

1. At 08:15, Israeli forces raided the western town of Al-Mazra'a, and detained a citizen.
2. At 03:45, Israeli forces raided Jalazoun camp, and detained 2 citizens.

Detention

1. The detainee in the western town of Al Mazraa is: Ibrahim Muhammad Ibrahim Laddua.
2. The two detainees in Jalazoun camp are: Muslim Yusef Ghawanimah and Samir Fayez Al-Tirawi.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

At 20:00, the occupation forces set up two checkpoints at Zahrat Al-Finjan Junction, south of Jenin, and at Al-Zawiya village junction, to search cars and verify citizens' identities

TUBAS

Confiscation of Property

At 14:05, the occupation forces confiscated a bulldozer and a truck in the Al-Hama area in the northern Jordan Valley, owned by the citizen: Abi Mustafa Kamel Zahir - residents of Yasid village in the Nablus governorate.

Settlers Attacks

At 11:00, a group of settlers built an agricultural barracks in the Ahmar area in Khirbet al-Farisiyah in the northern Jordan Valley.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 19:25, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint on the road between the towns of Jayyous and Azzun, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

Attack

At 17:05, the occupying forces, present in the vicinity of the "Eyal" crossing, north of Qalqilya, fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters at the citizens, under the pretext that they had been throwing stones.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

At 19:15, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the junction of the village of Sarra, to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 19:25.

Raid

1. At 08:05, Israeli forces raided the village of Sebastia, where clashes took place with the citizens while it was on patrol. It also detained 2 civilians, and released them at 17:15.
2. At 21:45, Israeli forces raided Awarta village, and patrolled until 22:30.

Temporary Detention

At 08:05, the occupation forces temporarily detained 2 citizens Ayham Aql and Shahid Kayed during their raid into Sebastia village, and released them at 17:15.

Attack

At 08:05, the occupation forces fired sound and tear gas canisters at the citizens during their raid into the village of Sebastia, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones while on patrol.

Settlers Attacks

1. At 12:00, a group of settlers of the settlement outpost "Givat Harel", which is built on the lands of Sinjil, razed Palestinian lands.
2. At 12:05, a group of settlers in the northeast of Beit Dajan village (after the occupation forces removed the settlement outpost that the settlers had established earlier), set up a number of tents and carried out sweeping works in the same place.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

At 22:05, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Kafeel Haris, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

Raid

At 12:05, Israeli forces raided the town of Al-Zawiya, and delivered the citizen: Suhaib Bakr Ibrahim Shuqair, a notice for review by the Israeli intelligence.

Detention

At 16:00, the occupation forces detained Yahya Mahmoud Hassan Dawabsheh - {from the National Security Force and residents of Talouza village}at the Zaatarah Junction checkpoint, .

JERICHO

Land Confiscation

On 10/15/2020, the occupation forces confiscated 11200 dunums in favor of settlement projects to establish 3 nature reserves (the first is located east of the Ein Al-Hilweh and Al-Farsiya regions (between the settlements of "Maskyout" and "Rotem") in the northern Jordan Valley in Tubas governorate, the second in the Deir Hajla area and the third Near the settlement of "Masuah" established on citizens' lands south of the village of Al-Jiftlik in the Jericho governorate.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 15:10, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to the town of Tuqu ', to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

Raid

At 14:25, Israeli forces raided the village of Khalil al-Luz, detained a citizen, and withdrew at 14:45.

Detention

The detainee in the village of Khalayel al-Lawz is: Mahmoud Murad Khalil Malash.

HEBRON

Military Checkpoints

At 11:30, the occupation forces closed the military checkpoint at the entrance to the Tel Rumeida neighborhood in the Old City of Hebron, and prevented citizens from passing through the checkpoint.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:15, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the Halhoul town bridge, to search cars and verify citizens' identities
2. At 16:10, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the Al-Kaushouk junction leading to the Qayzun neighborhood in Hebron city, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

Raid

1. At dawn on 16/10/2020,Israeli forces raided the town of Beit Awa and detained a citizen.
2. At dawn on 16/10/2020, Israeli forces raided Al-Arroub camp, and detained a citizen.

Detention

1. The person detained in the town of Beit Awa is: Qusay Ghazi Al-Shalash.
2. Detained in Al-Arroub camp is: Ashraf Samir Jawabreh.

Closure of main Roads

At 00:30, the occupation forces closed all entrances to Al-Arroub camp, with concrete blocks (after an Israeli vehicle was thrown a Molotov cocktail by unknown persons).

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on 26/08/2014, the permanent and comprehensive ceasefire came into effect with the initiative and patronage of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, the introduction of humanitarian and relief aid and reconstruction requirements, and expanding the fishing area to a distance of 6 miles with the increase in distance Up to 12 miles by the end of this year, reducing the "security buffer" zone from 300 meters to 100 meters, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. Other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within a month of the ceasefire.

• On the morning of June 28, 2019, the occupation forces allowed the expansion of the fishing distance from opposite the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza governorate and up to the Gaza port by a distance of 6 nautical miles, and from opposite the Gaza port to the south of the coast of Rafah to 15 nautical miles.
• On 01/09/2020, the occupation forces re-expanded the fishing distance from the front of the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza governorate and up to the Gaza port by a distance of 6 nautical miles, and from opposite the Gaza port to the south of the coast of Rafah to 15 nautical miles. After it imposed on 08/16/2020 a complete closure on the maritime domain in front of the fishermen's boats in front of the Gaza Strip.
• The occupying forces violated the ceasefire, by firing from their positions on the Green Line in Khan Yunis Governorate, and by firing at the fishermen's boats while chasing them at sea in the North Gaza Governorate.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanoun Crossing - “Erez”: 10/15/2020, closed (except for the passage of emergency humanitarian cases).

Attack

At 08:00 on 10/15/2020, Israeli gunboats fired at the fishermen's boats while chasing them at sea off the coast of Sudania area, west of the town of Beit Lahia.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar-Karni crossing: closed since 02/03/2011, permanently and by a unilateral Israeli decision.
* The Shejaiya Crossing - “Nahal Oz” for fuel: closed on 01/04/2010 by an Israeli unilateral decision.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 08:15 on 10/15/2020, the occupation forces fired from their positions on the Green Line, towards agricultural lands east of Khuza'a town, east of Khan Yunis.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser Arafat International Airport: closed.
* Sofa Crossing: closed.
* Kerem Shalom Crossing - “Kerem Shalom”: 15.10.2020. It is partially open (for the entry of Humanitarian supplies, goods and building materials, and limited quantities of fuel).
* Al-Awda - Rafah: on 15. 10. 2020 is closed.
