WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Military Checkpoints

At 15:00, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Jaba' checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Detention

1. At dawn on November 16th 2016, Israeli forces positioned at Bab Hata gate area located in the old city of Jerusalem detained Ahmad Marar (12 years old) after storming his family home.
2. On November 17th 2016, Israeli forces detained Thaer Al-Hadad in Jerusalem city.

Attack

1. At 20:00, Israeli forces positioned in Al-Sheikh neighborhood in Jerusalem city opened fire towards Sami Al-Ghazali and as a result left him hospitalized.
2. At 22:40, Israeli forces positioned in Beit Iksa village fired rubber coated steel bullets stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Injuries

At 20:00, Sami Al-Ghazali was hospitalized after Israeli forces opened fire towards him in Al-Sheikh neighborhood in Jerusalem city.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 10:00, Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 19:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Burqa village then searched residents and vehicles until 21:55.
2. At 19:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Dibwan town then searched residents and vehicles until 21:50.

JENIN

Confiscation of Property

At 06:55 on November 17th 2016, Israeli forces confiscated 160 tons of wood from a coal factory during their raid into Ya'bad town as mentioned in the previous report.

TUBAS

Attack

At 10:00, Israeli forces positioned in Al-Hamat area in the North Jordan Valley fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents and international peace activists participating in peace full demonstrations in solidarity with local residents after Israeli settlers forcibly confiscated plots of land in order to create a settlement outpost and as a result left 4 residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Assaults on Property

At 06:00 on November 17th 2016, Israeli forces removed 16 families from their homes in Hamsa village located in the North Jordan valley area from 06:00 until 12:00 on November 17th 2016 {based on a prior summon} in order to conduct military exercises in the area.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 20:45, Israeli forces intensified their restriction at "Enav" checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 23:40.

QALQILIYA

Raid

At 18:10, Israeli forces raided Azzun town, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 21:00,

Attack

At 18:10, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raids into Azzun town.

Temporary Detention

At 17:30, Israeli forces positioned at the east area of Azzun town temporarily detained the child Ashraf Ghalib Abbas Badwan (17 years old) {A resident of Azzun town} then released him at a later time.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

1. At 12:00, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Beit Furik checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 13:20.
2. At 19:00, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Huwwara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Yitshar" settlement located in North Huwara town then searched residents and vehicles until 11:30.
2. At 22:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Tel and Burin villages then searched residents and vehicles.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

At 11:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Kafil Harris and Harris towns then searched residents and vehicles until 11:15.

Detention

At 21:00, Israeli forces positioned at Za'tara junction checkpoint detained Mohammad Ibrahim Al-Nabrisi {A resident of Al-Far'a camp in Tubas District}.

BETHLEHEM

Raid

At 23:30, Israeli forces raided Bethlehem city , detained a resident and summoned Abdel-Jabber Jamal Obiyat to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 04:00.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Ameen Ameen Al-Khatib in Bethlehem city.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 12:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Tabaqa village junction then searched residents and vehicles until 13:05.
2. At 14:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Khursa village then searched residents and vehicles until 16:05.

Raid

1. At dawn on November 17th 2016, Israeli forces raided Dura and detained 2 residents.
2. At dawn on November 17th 2016, Israeli forces raided Hebron city, stormed a University Dormitory and temporarily detained Sarah Musa Hamayda {A resident of Beit Sahour town} then released her at a later time.
3. At 12:35, Israeli forces raided Bani Na'im town, stormed a vehicle repair shop and detained a resident.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained Huthayfa Awad Al-Sharif and Nizar Fadi Samour Masharqa in Dura town.
2. Israeli forces detained Khalil Ibrahim Ali Al-Hajoij in Bani Na'im town.

Temporary Detention

At dawn on November 17th 2016, Israeli forces temporarily detained Sarah Musa Hamayda {A resident of Beit Sahour town} as they stormed a University student dormitory during their raid into Hebron city then released her at a later time.

Closure of main Roads

At 18:30, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Beit Enoun village and impeded the free flow of traffic.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

At 08:45 on November 17th 2016, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the entry and exit of resiednts.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.

Detention

At 18:00 on November 17th 2016, Israeli forces positioned in east Rafah city detained 2 unidentified residents as they attempted to climb the border fence into Israel.
