WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure

(i) On May 30th 2016, The Israeli army intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
(iii) The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint

Military Checkpoints

(i) Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
(ii) On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall

Flying Checkpoints

At 08:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Anata town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 02:35, Israeli forces raided Biddu town, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 05:20.

Temporary Detention

On May 30th 2016, Israeli courts in Jerusalem city sentenced Basil Abu Dib {A resident of Jerusalem city}to house arrest and imposed a travel ban preventing him from travelling for a period of 30 days {1 month}as a condition for his release after he was imprisoned for a period of 3 months.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:00, Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
(ii) Since 24:00 on February 14th 2016, closed the main road near the entrance of “Bet El” settlement which leads to Al-Jalazoun camp with cement block.

Flying Checkpoints

At 15:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Ibzi’ village then searched residents and vehicles.

Settlers Violence

At 05:30, a group of Israeli settlers stormed residential land in Beitin town then withdrew at a later time.

JENIN

Closure

Since December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area and declared the area a closed military zone.

Closure of main Roads

The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan.

Closure of Wall Gates

Israeli forces continue to close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it.

TUBAS

Closure of main Roads

Since 12:30 on March 15th 2016, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Al-Aqaba village with cement blocks.

Flying Checkpoints

At 07:50 on May 30th 2016, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along Wadi Malah road in the North Jordan valley then searched residents and vehicles until 08:15.

Raid

At 23:30, Israeli forces raided Bardala village stormed Aziz Sawafta’s home for alleged Israeli military training on how to storm homes.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and imped the free flow of traffic.

Raid

(i) At 01:05, Israeli forces raided Shuwkiya neighbourhood in Tulkarem and stormed a vehicle repair shop.
(ii) At 04:00, Israeli forces raided Tulkarem city and detained 2 residents

Detention

Israeli forces detained Mou’men Ahmad Abdallah and Hani Banan Sawan in Tulkarem city.

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads

(i) Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
(ii) In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
(iii) Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate.

Raid

(i) At 02:40, Israeli forces raided Kafr Qaddum village, stormed and searched a home then withdrew at 04:00.
(ii) At 03:30, Israeli forces raided Qalqiliya city, stormed and searched s building then withdrew at 05:00.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
(ii) The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Closure

Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
(ii) Since 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.

Military Checkpoints

At 09:30, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Beit Furiq checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 09:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Deir Sharaf village junction then searched residents and vehicles.
(ii) At 09:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Beita town junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Assaults on Property

At 12:50, Israeli forces stormed Khirbiet Al-Taweel area located in Aqraba town and served military orders to halt construction on a barracks owned by Mutle’ Zahi Bani Fadil and the paving of an Agricultural road.

Settlers Violence

At 04:30, Israeli settlers driving 2 vehicles stormed Nablus city in an attempt to enter Joseph’s Tomb then were chased away by Palestinian Police vehicles who were guarding the site.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
(ii) Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.

Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 15:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Harris village, temporarily detained 3 residents then released them at 15:45.
(ii) At 15:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Salfit city then searched resident and vehicles.

Raid

At 16:35, Israeli forces raided Bruqin town, stormed a home then withdrew at 17:15.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces continue to intensify its restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 09:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along road (90) near Al-New’meh village junction located at the North entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles until 10:45.
(ii) At 16:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles until 16:45.

Raid

At 15:40, Israeli forces raided Al-Oja village.

Detention

(i) At 22:00, Israeli forces positioned at Allenby bridge detained Bara Fareed Abu Daheir {A resident of Nablus city} as he was returning from Jordan.
(ii) At 22:10, Israeli forces positioned at Allenby bridge detained Rida Ahtem Jarrar {A resident of Jenin city} as he was returning from Jordan.

BETHLEHEM

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
(ii) Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
(ii) Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.

Raid

(i) At 20:15, Israeli forces raided Al-Khader town, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 21:30.
(ii) At 03:00, Israeli forces raided Teqou’ town and detained 2 residents including a child.

Detention

(i) At 13:05, Israeli forces detained Abeer Al-Wahsih {A resident of Za’tara town} as she was near the main road near Za’tara town.
(ii) At 13:45, Israeli forces positioned at Container checkpoint detained Omar Abdel-Azziz Saleem Basali {A National Security Force Officer}{A resident of Al-Arrub camp in Hebron district}.
(iii) At 20:20, Israeli forces detained Omar Sami Al-Haremi {A Intelligence officer}{A resident of Bethlehem city} as he was visiting his son in Israeli prison.
(iv) Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Diya Hassan Mahmoud Al-Badan (16 years old) and Bassam Talib Mohammad Al-Badan in Teqou’ town.

HEBRON

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
(ii) Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the bypass road connecting Bani Na’im and Zif village junction with dirt mounds.
(iii) The Israeli Army continues to close the entrance of Beit Ummar (located near the local Cemetery) with dirt mounds.

Raid

(i) At dawn on May 30th 2016, Israeli forces raided Surif town and detained a resident.
(ii) At 02:00, Israeli forces raided Yatta town and detained a resident.

Detention

(i) On the evening of May 30th 2016, Israeli forces detained Hufaytha Ali Mustafa Ghanimat {A resident of Surif town} as he was heding his sheep in the area located between Surif and Beoit Ummar towns.
(ii) Israeli forces detained Ahmad Mohammad Abdel-Hameed Abu Farah in Surif town.
(iii) Israeli forces detained Awad Allah Hatem Qarai’sh in Yatta town.

Temporary Detention

At 20:45, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Ibrahimi mosque in the old city of Hebron temporarily detained Nour Tawfiq Jabril Juwihan {A resident of Hebron} then released him after summoning him to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.
• The Israeli military broke the cease fire agreement by raiding opened fire towards Khan Yunis and Rafah Districts.
• Israeli Forces positioned behind the Green Line broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Gaza, Central Gaza and Rafah Districts.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

Beit Hanun (Erez) is open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 17:10 on May 30th 2016, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Deir Al-Balah city

KHAN YUNIS

Raid

At 10:30 on May 30th 2016, Israeli forces escorting military bulldozers stormed 100m in east Khaz’a town and levelled a plot of land then withdrew at12:10.

Attack

(i) At 12:10 on May 30th 2016, , Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Khazz’a
(ii) At 06:45 on May 31th 2016, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Qarara town.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
(ii) Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed
(iii) Sufa Crossing is closed
(iv) Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is is open for the entry Humanitarian assistance.

Raid

At 06:00 on May 30th 2016, Israeli forces escorting military bulldozers stormed 100m in east Sufa Crossing located in North east Rafah city and levelled a plot of land then withdrew at10:20.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
(ii) Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

At 12:15 on May 30th 2016, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Jaher Al-Dik town located in south east Gaza city.
