DAILY SITUATION REPORT
08:00, 23rd May 2021 -08:00, 24th May 2021
1. At 08:30, the Israeli occupation forces detained 9 citizens (one of them is a guard at Al-Aqsa Mosque, and another works in the Manuscripts Department of the Islamic Endowments Department):Fadi Ali Alian (one of the guards of Al-Aqsa Mosque), Issa Arabat, Muhammad al-Dabbagh Omar Al-Zughayer, Ali Wazouz, Anas Muhammad Abu Al-Homs, Mahmoud Al-Shakhshir, Ashwaq Abdul Wahid, and Omar Fawzi Muhaisin in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
2. At 11:00, the Israeli occupation forces detained 3 citizens: Mustafa Muhammad Ashayer, Raed Hazim Al-Sayyad, and Daoud Abu Al-Hawa in Al-Tur neighborhood in Jerusalem.
3. On 05/23/2021, the Israeli occupation forces detained Rami Barakeh in Jerusalem.
4. At dawn on 24/05/2021,the Israeli occupation forces detained 17 citizens: Moaz Waheed Al-Bakri, Ibrahim Abu Sneina, Faris Raafat Dari, Uday Dari, Anas Dari, Moataz Halaiqa, Ahmad Yunus Al-Ghoul, Wadih Hashima, Muhammad Houshiyyah, Mahmoud Shawish, Orabi Sadiq Ghaith, Khaled Shweiki, Nasr Khader Abu Khdeir, Adam Khader Abu Khdeir, Mahmoud Mansour Abu Khudair, Ahmed Hassan Abu Khudair, Wahid al-Bakri, Muhammad al-Zaghal, and Ihab Muhammad Iskafi in the city of Jerusalem.
At 08:30, a group of extremist settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation police, stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and conducted provocative tours in its courtyards and facilities.
1. At 12:30, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to Sinjil town, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
2. At 15:50, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to Deir Abu Mishaal village, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
3. At 22:30, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Beitin, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
At 04:00, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Kober and Dura Al-Qara, and detained 2 citizens.
1. On 05/23/2021, the Israeli occupation forces detained the citizen: Ahmed Abdel Aziz Mark.
2. The two detainees in the town of Kober and the village of Dura al-Qara are: Musab Saher al-Barghouti - a residents of the town of Kober, and Ahmad Raafat - a resident of the village of Dura al-Qara.
At 10:30, the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Ezbet Shoufah, and detained 2 citizens (brothers).
The two detainees in the village of Ezbet Shoufah are: Fathi Mazouz Musa and his brother Muhammad.
At 19:00, the Israeli occupation forces in charge of guarding the separation wall near the village of Faroun opened fire towards workers, while they were trying to enter to work inside the Green Line and as a result wounded a citizen, and he was subsequently admitted to the government hospital in Tulkarm for treatment.
The wounded person near the village of Faroun is: Ziad Raafat Salim Rajab - a resident of the town of Kafr al-Labad.
1. At 10:55, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the junction of Jeet village, and arrested a citizen.
2. At 19:50, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the western entrance to the town of Azzun, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
At 04:15, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Azzun, detained a child, and withdrew at 05:30.
1. The detainee at a flying checkpoint at the junction of Jeet village is: Abd al-Rahman Kamil - residents of Qabatiya town in Jenin governorate.
2. The detainee in Azzun town is: Mustafa Ahmed Mansour, 17 years old.
1. At 20:25, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the "Shafi Shimron" settlement junction, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
2. At 21:20, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Aqraba, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
1. At 01:45, the Israeli occupation forces raided Qabalan town, arrested a citizen, and withdrew at 04:50.
2. At 02:05, the Israeli occupation forces raided Tal village, where clashes took place with citizens as they stormed and searched 7 homes then withdrew at 03:40.
1. At 02:40 on 23/05/2021, the Israeli occupation forces detained the citizen: Raed Hamdan during the storming of Nablus (in addition to what was mentioned in the previous report).
2. The detainee in the town of Qabalan is: Nasr Khaled Saeed Abu Zina.
At 02:05, the Israeli occupation forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards the citizens for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched 7 homes during their raid into Tal village.
At 22:40, the Israeli occupation forces positioned at the Zaatarah junction checkpoint detained citizen: Muhammad Ali Salem Jamahina - a resident of Jenin camp.
At 15:50, a group of settlers in Wadi Qana attacked a number of farmers and as a result wounded 9 civilians with contusions.
At 08:55 and again at 23:10, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to Jericho. to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
At 08:30, the Israeli occupation forces positioned at Hamra checkpoint detained 2 citizens: Samir Ragheb Sawafta and Asaad Saleh Abu Ara (both residents of Tubas).
At 20:35, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the western entrance to the town of Beit Fajjar, to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 21:40.
1. At 00:40, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Beit Fajjar, detained 3 citizens, and withdrew at 04:35.
2. At dawn on 24/05/2021,the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Al-Walaja, and detained 4 citizens (including 2 brothers).
1. The 3 detainees in the town of Beit Fajjar are: Khattab Ibrahim Thawabta, Saud Faisal Thawabatah, and Mahmoud Ibrahim Blue.
2. The 4 detainees in the village of Al-Walaja are: Muhammad Ismail Musa Al-Araj, Fadi Mahmoud Daoud Rabah, two brothers Muhammad Nabil Abu Al-Tin, and Mahmoud's sister.
At 09:40, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the Halhoul town bridge, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
1. At 02:05, the Israeli occupation forces raided Beit Kahil town and detained a citizen.
2. At dawn on 24/05/2021, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Beit Ummar, and detained a citizen.
1. At dawn on 23/05/2021, the Israeli occupation forces positioned in the Fahs area in the Old City of Hebron detained the citizen: Muhammad Abu Ramz.
2. At 18:55, the Israeli occupation forces detained 2 citizens (a citizen and his son): Fadl Ahmad Al-Rubai and his son Bilal. in Al-Tuwani village, east of Yatta.
3. The detainee in the town of Beit Kahil is: Saeed Maher Asafra.
4. The detainee in the town of Beit Ummar is: Muhammad Yusef Awad.
At 21:10, the Israeli occupation forces present in the vicinity of the Halhul town bridge, fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards demonstrators and as a result wounded a citizen and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
Muhammad Usama Melhem - a resident of the town of Halhul was wounded during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces in the vicinity of the Halhul bridge.
• At 19:00 on 26/08/2014, the permanent and comprehensive ceasefire came into effect with the initiative and patronage of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, the introduction of humanitarian and relief aid and reconstruction requirements, and expanding the fishing area to a distance of 6 miles with the increase in distance Up to 12 miles by the end of this year, reducing the "security buffer" zone from 300 meters to 100 meters, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. Other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within a month of the ceasefire.
• On the morning of June 28, 2019, the occupation forces allowed the expansion of the fishing distance from opposite the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza governorate and up to the Gaza port by a distance of 6 nautical miles, and from opposite the Gaza port to the south of the coast of Rafah to 15 nautical miles.
• On 01/09/2020, the occupation forces re-expanded the fishing distance from the front of the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza governorate and up to the Gaza port by a distance of 6 nautical miles, and from opposite the Gaza port to the south of the coast of Rafah to 15 nautical miles. After it imposed on 08/16/2020 a complete closure on the maritime domain in front of the fishermen's boats in front of the Gaza Strip.
• On 10/05/2021, the Israeli occupation forces closed the sea of the Gaza Strip, in front of fishermen until further notice.
• At 02:00 on 21/05/2021, the comprehensive ceasefire came into effect with the initiative and patronage of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
• A citizen died as a result of his serious wounds caused by the air strikes in the town of Beit Hanoun in the North Gaza Governorate.
* Beit Hanoun Crossing - "Erez": on 05/23/2021 is closed.
At 23:30 on 05/23/2021, the citizen: Mahmoud Ammar Abu Jarad - a resident of the town of Beit Hanoun, succumbed to - he was seriously wounded as a result of the air strikes on the town of Beit Haun in the North Gaza governorate on 11/05/2021.
* Al-Muntar-Karni crossing: closed since 02/03/2011, permanently and by a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Shejaiya Crossing - “Nahal Oz” for fuel: closed since 04. 01. 2010, by unilateral Israeli decision.
* Yasser Arafat International Airport: closed.
* Sufa Crossing: closed.
* Kerem Shalom Crossing - "Kerem Shalom": on 05/23/2021 is closed.
* Al-Awda- Rafah crossing: On 05/23/2021, it is open in both directions (for the departure and entry of citizens and aid).
