WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure

(i) On May 15th 2016, The Israeli army intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
(iii) The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint.

Military Checkpoints

(i) Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
(ii) On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.

Raid

At 22:25, Israeli forces raided Al-Eizariya town and stormed a Real Estate Office.

Detention

(i) On May 15th 2016, Israeli forces detained Sa’ed Hussiern Malihat {A resident of Bir Nabalah town} in Jerusalem city.
(ii) At 11:35, Israeli forces detained Suliman Ibrahim Suliman Mafrah (A resident of Tafuh town in Bethlehem district) in Jerusalem city.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 08:30, Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
(ii) At 24:00 on February 14th 2016, closed the main road near the entrance of “Bet El” settlement which leads to Al-Jalazoun camp with cement blocks for alleged gunfire.

Flying Checkpoints

At 14:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Taybeh town junction located along the main road connecting Ramallah and Jericho then searched residents and vehicles until 15:45.

Raid

At 02:45, Israeli forces raided Ni’lin town, detained a resident then withdrew at 03:25.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Abdallah Assad Abdallah Amerieh in Ni’lin town.

Attack

At 10:35, Israeli forces positioned near the west entrance of Abboud town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

JENIN

Closure

On December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area and declared the area a closed military zone.

Closure of main Roads

The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan.

Flying Checkpoints

At 20:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Yamoun town then searched residents and vehicles until 21:50.

Raid

At 04:40, Israeli forces raided Qabatiya town, clashed with several residents as they stormed several homes, detained a University student then withdrew at 06:50.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Abdallah Omar Malalhat in Qabatiya town.

Closure of Wall Gates

Israeli forces continue to close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it.

TUBAS

Closure of main Roads

Since 12:30 on March 15th 2016, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Al-Aqaba village with cement blocks

Raid

At 02:45, Israeli forces raided Tubas city, detained 2 residents then withdrew at 03:00.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 2 residents Ahmad Mahraj Mustafa Daraghmeh and Tariq Nader Al-Kharaz in Tubas city.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 08:30, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and impeded the free flow of traffic until 10:00.

Raid

(i) At 12:50, Israeli forces raided Izbit Shufa village until 13:15.
(ii) At 02:10, Israeli forces raided Sayda village, stormed and searched a home, detained a resident, confiscated a computer then withdrew at 05:35.

Israeli forces detained Mahdi Mohammad Ahmad Ajjaj in Sayda village.

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads

(i) Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
(ii) In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
(iii) Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate.

Raid

(i) At 12:30, Israeli forces raided Azzun town.
(ii) At 00:30, Israeli forces raided Qalqiliya city, stormed and searched a home, detained a resident then withdrew at 05:00.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Nael Waleed Al-Hajjaj Hassan in Qalqiliya city.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
(ii) The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Closure

Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
(ii) Since 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at “Shav Shamron” settlement junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At 09:10, Israeli forces raided Iraq Burin and Madma villages until 10:40.
(ii) At 00:40, Israeli forces raided Nablus city, clashed with several residents as they stormed several homes, detained 2 residents then withdrew at 04:15.
(iii) At 03:00, Israeli forces raided Dier Al-Hatab village and detained a resident.

Detention

(i) Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Hamza Saleem Al-Ammoudi and Salah Al-Din Ayman Dweikat in Nablus city.
(ii) Israeli forces detained Mustafa Jamal in Deir Al-Hatab village.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
(ii) Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Raid

(i) At 12:00, Israeli forces raided Deir Ballout town, stormed a home then withdrew at 12:30.
(ii) At 13:50, Israeli forces raided Qarwat Bani Hassan town.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces continue to intensify its restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 08:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near “Malee Avrim” settlement junction then searched residents and vehicles.
(ii) At 00:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the Dead Sea junction and detained a Palestinian Police officer.

Raid

At 10:30, Israeli forces raided Fasayil village.

Detention

Israeli forces positioned at a checkpoint near the Dead Sea junction detained Obada Nidal Mohammad Dariya (A resident of Nablus city).

BETHLEHEM

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
(ii) Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
(ii) Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.

Raid

At 01:50, Israeli forces raided Al-Asakra village, stormed and searched 4 homes then withdrew at 02:30.

Attack

(i) At 10:20, Israeli forces positioned in the vicinity of Ayda camp in Bethlehem city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several demonstrators participating in a peacefull demonstration to commemorate the 68th Anniversary of the Palestinian Catastrophe {Nakba}.
(ii) At 12:00, Israeli forces positioned in the vicinity of Billal Bin Rabah mosque in North Bethlehem city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several demonstrators participating in a peaceful demonstration to commemorate the 68th Anniversary of the Palestinian Catastrophe {Nakba}.
(iii) At 21:45, Israeli forces positioned near the wall gate located in Deir Salah village opened fire towards Ahmad Omar Salem Abu I’mar as he attempted to cross the wall gate to enter Jerusalem and as a result was hospitalised.

Injuries

Israeli forces opened fire towards Ahmad Omar Salem Abu I’mar as he attempted to cross the wall gate to enter Jerusalem and as a result was hospitalized.

Detention

(i) At 22:20, Israeli forces positioned at Container checkpoint detained 2 residents: Ameen Hisham Jaber and Salah Munthir Hijazi {Both residents of Nablus city}.
(ii) At 22:30, Israeli forces positioned near “Betar Eliyat” settlement detained Mohammad Ziyad Ali Hamarah {A resident of Husan village}.

HEBRON

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close Al-Shuhada’ Street, Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
(ii) Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the bypass road connecting Bani Na’im and Zif village junction with dirt mounds.
(iii) The Israeli Army continues to close the entrance of Beit Ummar (located near the local Cemetery) with dirt mounds.

Flying Checkpoints

At 21:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Fuwar abd Obada village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 00:30, Israeli forces raided Deir Al-Asal village, stormed and searched a home then withdrew at 05:40.

Attack

At 16:30, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Fuwar camp fird stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Gaza.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza, Central Gaza and Rafah.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

Beit Hanun (Erez) is open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

At 19:00, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town, detained 2 fishermen, temporarily detained 8 fishermen including 3 children: Mohammad Khamis Baker (17 years old), Jameel Ahmad Adas (17 years old),Mohammad Mahmoud Bakr (17 years old), Khaled Radwan Bakr, Ghalib Radwan Bakr, Ahmad Khaled Bakr, Muhanad Abdel-Rahman Bakr and Adham Akram Al-Shouh then confiscated a fishing boat and sunk another fishing boat

Temporary Detention

Israeli forces temporarily detained 8 fishermen including 3 children: Mohammad Khamis Baker (17 years old), Jameel Ahmad Adas (17 years old),Mohammad Mahmoud Bakr (17 years old), Khaled Radwan Bakr, Ghalib Radwan Bakr, Ahmad Khaled Bakr, Muhanad Abdel-Rahman Bakr and Adham Akram Al-Shouh .

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
(ii) Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

At 13:00, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards several residents positioned in the vicinity of Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing located in east Al- Shija’iya neighborhood in east Gaza city as they were participating in a peaceful demonstration to commemorate the 68th Anniversary of the Palestinian Catastrophe {Nakba}.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 12:10, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Nussayrat camp.

KHAN YUNIS

Detention

At 14:00, Israeli forces detained an unidentified resident in east Al-Qarara town as he attempted to climb the border fence into Israel.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
(ii) Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed
(iii) Sufa Crossing is closed
(iv) Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is open for the entry Humanitarian assistance.
