Daily Report May 08 2022

Since 15:00 on 05/03/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces imposed a complete closure on the governorates of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip on the occasion of the "74th anniversary of the establishment of the State of Israel", and prevented citizens and workers, including permit holders, from entering Jerusalem and Israel, with the exception of diplomatic and international missions and humanitarian cases and emergency medical cases after prior coordination, until 05/08/ 2022.

At dawn on 05/08/ 2022, a group of Israeli settlers stormed the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of Jerusalem, smashed the windows and damaged tires of a number of citizens' vehicles parked along the American Consulate Street in the neighborhood.

On 05/07/ 2022, a group of Israeli settlers stormed the agricultural lands of the citizens in the Harasha area near the town of Mazraa al-Gharbiyye, and provoked the citizens on their lands.

At 02:35 on 05/07/2022, the Israeli occupation forces assaulted two citizens: Youssef Ahmed Youssef Jaradat and Omar Ahmed Mohamed Jaradat during their raid into Al-Silat Al-Harithiya town (as mentioned in the previous report).

1. At 21:30, the Israeli occupation forces tightened their procedures at the Shufa checkpoint, and obstructed traffic until 01:45.
2. At 21:55, the Israeli occupation forces tightened their procedures at the Ainaf checkpoint, and obstructed traffic until 22:35.

At 22:00, a group of Israeli settlers was near the junction of the "Kedumim" settlement, and threw stones at cars passing by.

1. At 17:55, a group of Israeli settlers in the Ein Um al-Jarb area, northeast of Beita, assaulted the citizen: Jamal Daoud Hamayel - a resident of Beita town, causing him bruises.
2. At 17:55, a group of Israeli settlers from "Barkhat" settlement entered the citizens' lands on the outskirts of Burin village, and threw stones at the citizens' houses.
3. At 22:05, a group of Israeli settlers was present in the vicinity of the Beit Furik checkpoint, and threw stones at vehicles of citizens passing by, causing material damage to a school bus for children owned by: Ezz El-Din Thabet - residents of Azmut village.

1. At 16:05, a group of Israeli settlers from the settlement of “Brukhin” stormed the agricultural lands of the citizens in the areas of Kasaria and Arara, located north of the town of Kafr ad-Dik, and cut down and uprooted 30 olive trees owned by the citizens: Imad Ismail Othman Ali Ahmed, Aziz Youssef Qasoul, and Nasser Muhammad Othman Ali Ahmed.
2. A group of Israeli settlers positioned near the junction of Haris village threw stones at the homes of citizens and vehicles of citizens passing by, causing material damage to 3 houses owned by citizens: Abdullah Daoud, Jihad Daoud Awwad, and Awwad Daoud.

On 05/07/2022, the Israeli occupation forces detained the child: Naseem Marwan Muhammad Nabrisi, 17, at Al-Hamra checkpoint, a resident of Al-Fara'a camp in Tubas governorate.

1. At 11:15, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint near the cemetery of the town of Al-Khader, to search vehicles and check the identities of citizens until 12:20.
2. At 11:25, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to the town of Tekoa, to search vehicles and check citizens' identities until 12:40.
3. At 19:50, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the western entrance to the town of Al-Khader, to search vehicles and check citizens' identities until 01:20.
4. At 19:50, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint near the junction of the Nashash area (the southern entrance to the city of Bethlehem), to search vehicles and check the identities of citizens until 22:10.

1. At 11:00, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural lands of the citizens in the Khallet Ghoneim area in the town of Surif, and assaulted the elderly citizen: Abdullah Ibrahim Ghunaimat, 81 years old, as a result left him hospitalized at a Governmental Hospital in Hebron with a fractured hand and contusions.
2. At 17:50, a group of Israeli settlers in the Jabal Jales area in the Old City of Hebron threw stones at citizens' homes.
3. At 22:30, a group of Israeli settlers from the settlements of Kiryat Arba, Kharsina and Havat Jal, located east of Hebron, threw stones at vehicles of citizens passing on the bypass road and in the Al-Jalajil and Beit Ainun areas, causing material damage to a number of vehicles.

• At 02:00 on 05/21/ 2021, the comprehensive ceasefire entered into force at the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
• On the morning of 07/30/ 2021, the Israeli occupation forces allowed the expansion of the marine fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 12 nautical miles.
• The Israeli occupation forces violated the cease-fire agreement by firing from their positions on the Green Line in the northern Gaza governorate, and by Israeli gunboats opening fire towards fishermen's boats while chasing them at sea in Rafah governorate.

At 14:30 on 05/07/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces opened fire and launched tear gas canisters from their positions on the Green Line, towards a number of citizens near the border fence east of the town of Beit Hanoun.

* Shejaiya Crossing - “Nahal Oz” for fuel: closed since 04. 01. 2010, by unilateral Israeli decision.

At 08:15 on 05/07/ 2022, Israeli gunboats fired at the fishermen's boats while they were chasing them in the open sea off the shore of the city of Rafah.
