DAILY SITUATION REPORT
08:00, 1st May 2021 -08:00, 2nd May 2021
1. On 30/04/2021, the Israeli occupation forces positioned in Jerusalem detained the citizen: Mutasim Muhammad Antouri, 16 years old, a resident of Qalqilya.
2. At 14:00, the Israeli occupation forces detained Omar Mahdi Al-Ajlouni in Jerusalem, after assaulting him.
3. At 15:00, the Israeli occupation forces positioned near Ba Al-Amud in the Old City of Jerusalem detained the citizen: Jihad Mustafa Al-Yassini - a resident of Al-Eizariya.
4. At 18:00, the Israeli occupation forces positioned in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem city detained the citizen: Omar Abu Sneina - a resident of the city of Jerusalem, while he was participating in a demonstration against the displacement of 7 families of citizens from their homes and handing them over for the benefit of the settlers in the neighborhood.
5. At 02:00, the Israeli occupation forces positioned in the Bab al-Amud area in Jerusalem city detained the citizen: Khaled Elyan - a resident of Jabal Al-Mukaber neighborhood in Jerusalem, after assaulting him.
1. At 16:00, the Israeli occupation forces positioned in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem City fired stun canisters and assaulted the protesters, rejecting the decisions to evacuate 7 families from their homes in the neighborhood and hand them over for the benefit of the settlers.
2. At 00:30, the Israeli occupation forces positioned in the Bab al-Amud area in the Old City of Jerusalem fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning and as a result injured 5 civilians and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
The 5 unidentified citizens were injured during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces in the Bab al-Amud area in Jerusalem.
At 13:00, the Israeli occupation forces impeded the arrival of Christian citizens for prayers in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in the Old City of Jerusalem, to celebrate Holy Saturday for the churches according to the Eastern Calendar, and attacked dozens of Christian citizens, including monks, in the alleys leading to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.
At 22:00, a group of settlers under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, stormed the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem, and held a provocative party in the neighborhood.
At 00:20, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to Kharbatha Al-Misbah village, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
1. At 12:40, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the eastern entrance to the city of Qalqilya, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
2. At 17:30, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Ezbet El-Tabib, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
3. At 23:20, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the junction of Jeet village, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
1. At 18:00, the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the eastern (closed) entrance in the village of Kafr Qaddum fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards demonstrators for alleged stoning as they were protesting against the closure of the village entrance and as a result wounded 2 citizens and left several citizens suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
2. At 22:30, the Israeli occupation forces positioned in the vicinity of the "Eyal" crossing, north of Qalqilya fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning
The two unidentified citizens were wounded during clashes with the occupation forces near the eastern (closed) entrance in the village of Kafr Qaddum
1. At 21:20, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the "Shafi Shimron" settlement junction, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
2. At 23:15, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the "Yitzhar" settlement junction, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
At 10:40, the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Awarta, and patrolled until 14:20.
At 21:00, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to the city of Salfit, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
1. At 12:20, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to Jericho city, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
2. At 21:55, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the southern entrance to Jericho city, and obstructed traffic.
At 23:15, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the western entrance to the town of Beit Fajjar, to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 01:00.
At 23:20, the Israeli occupation forces, present in the vicinity of the Bilal Bin Rabah Mosque (Al-Qubbah), north of Bethlehem, fired stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens demonstrating in solidarity with the people of Jerusalem in the face of attacks by settlers and the Israeli occupation forces and as a result left several citizens suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
On the evening of 01/05/2021, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the eastern entrance to Hebron, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
At 22:30, the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the entrance to the town of Beit Ummar, fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens, demonstrating in solidarity with the people of Jerusalem in the face of attacks by settlers and the Israeli occupation forces and as a result left several citizens suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
• At 19:00 on 26/08/2014, the permanent and comprehensive ceasefire came into effect with the initiative and patronage of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, the introduction of humanitarian and relief aid and reconstruction requirements, and expanding the fishing area to a distance of 6 miles with the increase in distance Up to 12 miles by the end of this year, reducing the "security buffer" zone from 300 meters to 100 meters, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. Other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within a month of the ceasefire.
• On the morning of June 28, 2019, the occupation forces allowed the expansion of the fishing distance from opposite the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza governorate and up to the Gaza port by a distance of 6 nautical miles, and from opposite the Gaza port to the south of the coast of Rafah to 15 nautical miles.
• On 01/09/2020, the occupation forces re-expanded the fishing distance from the front of the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza governorate and up to the Gaza port by a distance of 6 nautical miles, and from opposite the Gaza port to the south of the coast of Rafah to 15 nautical miles. After it imposed on 08/16/2020 a complete closure on the maritime domain in front of the fishermen's boats in front of the Gaza Strip.
• At dawn on 26/04/2021, the occupation forces closed the sea in the Gaza Strip, in front of fishermen until further notice.
•The Israeli occupation forces violated the cease-fire agreement by firing from their positions on the Green Line towards Khan Yunis Governorate, and by Israeli gunboats firing towards Palestinian fishermen's boats at sea in North Gaza and Gaza governorates.
* Beit Hanoun Crossing - "Erez": on 01/05/2021 is closed (due to the Saturday holiday).
At 13:30 on 01/05/2021, Israeli gunboats fired at the fishermen's boats while chasing them at sea off the Al-Sudania beach, west of the town of Beit Lahia.
* Al-Muntar-Karni crossing: closed since 02/03/2011, permanently and by a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Shejaiya Crossing - “Nahal Oz” for fuel: closed since 04. 01. 2010, by unilateral Israeli decision.
At 15:15 on 01/05/2021, Israeli gunboats fired at the Palestinian fishermen's boats while chasing them at sea off the beach in Gaza City.
1. At 12:00 on 01/05/2021, the Israeli occupation forces fired from their positions on the Green Line towards a number of citizens near the border fence east of Khuza'a town, east of Khan Yunis.
2. At 13:45 on 01/05/2021, the Israeli occupation forces opened fire and launched tear gas canisters from their positions on the Green Line, towards a number of citizens near the border fence east of Khuza'a town, east of Khan Yunis.
* Yasser Arafat International Airport: closed.
