WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure

(i) On May 1st 2016, the Israeli army, intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
(iii) The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint.

Military Checkpoints

(i) Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
(ii) On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.

(i) At 08:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village then searched residents and vehicles.
(ii) At 08:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Hizma village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At dawn on May 1st 2016, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village, temporarily detained 3 children: Majd Marwan Dari (15 years old), Fadi Rafat Al-Eisawi (14 years old) and Shadi Maher Odah (17 years old) then released them after Israeli courts imposed a 5 day home imprisonment.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 08:30, Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
(ii) At 24:00 on February 14th 2016, closed the main road near the entrance of “Bet El” settlement which leads to Al-Jalazoun camp with cement blocks for alleged gunfire.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 16:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Ein Sinya village roundabout located along the main road connecting Ramallah and Nablus then searched residents and vehicles.
(ii) At 17:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Dibwan town then searched residents and vehicles.
(iii) At 20:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Sira village then searched residents and vehicles until 04:35

Raid

(i) At 10:35, Israeli forces raided Deir Jrier village until 11:30.
(ii) At 21:30, Israeli forces raided Ni’lin town, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 23:35.
(iii) At 00:15, Israeli forces raided Ramallah city, detained a resident then withdrew at 04:25.

Israeli forces detained Mohammad Kathim Zahada in Ramallah city.

JENIN

Closure

On December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area and declared the area a closed military zone.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and impeded the free flow of traffic.

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads

(i) Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
(ii) In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
(iii) Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate.

Flying Checkpoints

At 08:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Immatin village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 02:15, Israeli forces raided Azzun town.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
(ii) The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Closure

Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
(ii) Since 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
(ii) Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks

JERICHO

(i) At 16:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along the main road in Al-Oja village and temporarily detained Omar Sa’id Abdel-Rahman Farijat then released him at 17:40.
(ii) At 02:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the Dead Sea junction then searched residents and vehicles until 05:50.

BETHLEHEM

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
(ii) Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
(ii) Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.
(iv) At 09:15 on February 16th 2016, Israeli forces closed the bypass road connecting Za’tara and Ush Al-Ghurab area located in east Beit Sahur town with dirt mounds.
(v) On February 25th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main entrance gate leading to Um Al-Rakaba area in Al-Khader.
(vi) At 22:40 on March 17th 2016, Israeli forces closed all entrances of Beit Fajjar town and prevented residents from entering or exiting the town.
(vii) At 12:25 on March 18th 2016, Israeli forces closed the north entrance of Marah Rabah village which leads to Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 07:25 on May 1st 2016, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Beit Fajjar then searched residents and vehicles until 15:10.
(ii) At 23:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Jallah then searched residents and vehicles until 00:10.

Raid

(i) At dawn on May 1st 2016, Israeli forces raided Jinata town and detained a resident.
(ii) At dawn on May 1st 2016, Israeli forces raided Khalayil Al-Louz village and detained a resident

Detention

(i) Israeli forces detained Ali Ahmad Mohammad Al-Arouj in Jinata village.
(ii) Israeli forces detained Sa’id Osama Issa Harmas in Khillat Al-Louz village.

HEBRON

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close Al-Shuhada’ Street, Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
(ii) Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the bypass road connecting Bani Na’im and Zif village junction with dirt mounds.
(iii) The Israeli Army continues to close the entrance of Beit Ummar (located near the local Cemetery) with dirt mounds.

Raid

(i) At 00:45, Israeli forces raided Deir Sammit village, detained a resident then withdrew at 03:00.
(ii) At 02:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Shiyoukh town, stormed and searched several homes, detained a resident, confiscated a vehicle then withdrew at 04:00.
(iii) At 03:000, Israeli forces raided Sa’ir town, stormed the home of Abdel-Hamid Tafish, detained his son, confiscated his vehicle and surveillance camera footage, a computer and a cellular telephone then withdrew at 05:00.
(iv) At dawn on May 2nd 2016, Israeli forces raided Surif town and detained a resident.

Confiscation of Property

Israeli forces confiscated his vehicle and surveillance camera footage, a computer and a cellular telephone from a home in Sa’ir town.

Detention

(i) Israeli forces detained Shadi Riyad Mohammad Al-Haroub in Deir Sammit village.
(ii) Israeli forces detained Mohammad Abdel Rahim Halayqa in Al-Shiyoukh town.
(iii) Israeli forces detained Mohammad Abdel-Hameed Tafish in Sa’ir town.
(iv) Israeli forces detained Awni Mustafa Jameel Ghanimat in Surif town.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.

• The Israeli Military broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Central Gaza.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores North Gaza, Gaza, Central Gaza and Khan Yunis.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

Beit Hanun (Erez) is open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
(ii) Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision

At 11:00, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores Gaza city and as a result damaged a fishing boat.

CENTRAL GAZA

(iii) At 07:40 on May 1st 2016, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Deir Al-Balah city.
(iv) At 21:00, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Buriej camp.

KHAN YUNIS
