WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure
  • On March 6th 2016, the Israeli army, intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
  • The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
  • The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.
Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
  2. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint. 
Military Checkpoints
  1. Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
  2. On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.
  3. At 13:00, Israeli forces closed Jaba’ checkpoint located along the main road connecting Ramallah, Jericho and Jerusalem and impeded the free flow of traffic until reopening at a later time.
Flying Checkpoints
  1. At 10:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Anata town then searched residents and vehicles.
Raid
  1. At 03:20, Israeli forces raided Qalandiya camp, stormed and searched several homes, detained 3 residents then withdrew at 05:30.
Attack
  • At 12:00, Israeli forces positioned in the old city of Jerusalem fired tear gas grenades towards several women participating in a demonstration against the Israeli Military restrictions on entering Al-Aqsa mosque compound and as a result left several women suffocated from tear gas inhalation and temporally detained Hanadi Al-Hulani then released her at 21:30 after assaulting her.
Detention
  1. At 10:00, Israeli forces detained the child: Sharhabeel Darwish (16 years old) {A resident of Al-I’sawiya}.
  2. At 13:00, Israeli forces detained Ammar Khader Gharab {A resident of Wadi Al-Joz neighbourhood in Jerusalem}.
  3. On March 6th 2016, Israeli forces detained the child Ibrahim Sufiyan Zaghir (17 years old) in Jerusalem city.
  4. Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Fadi Taher Mohammad Al-Shu’ani, Mahmoud Na’im Hamad and Tariq Ziyad Al-A’raj in Qalandiya camp.
Obstruction of Places of Worship
  1. At 08:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers.
Closure of Wall Gates
  1. The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
  2. The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
  2. At 24:00 on February 14th 2016, closed the main road near the entrance of “Bet El” settlement which leads to Al-Jalazoun camp with cement blocks for alleged gunfire.
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 18:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Bei Ur At Tahta and temporarily detained Anas Ziyad Ahmad Al-Haj (A National Security Force Officer) then released him at a later time.
Raid
  1. At 22:50, Israeli forces raided Khirbathat Al-Misbah village, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 23:00.
  2. At 23:05, Israeli forces raided Beit Liqya.
  3. At 02:25, Israeli forces raided Beit Rima, clashed with several residents after storming their homes and detained a resident.
Detention
  1. Israeli forces detained Shadi Khaled Abdel-Ra’ouf in Beit Rima.
Settlers Violence
  1. At 09:10, a group of Israeli settlers from “Ofra” settlement stoned several vehicles travelling along the main road near the settlement during which they withdrew under the protection of Israeli forces.
  2. At 12:10, Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Turmus’aya and chased away several farmers as they were working on the land during which they withdrew under the protection of Israeli forces.

JENIN

Closure
  1. On December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area  {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area  and declared the area a closed military zone.
Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan.
Flying Checkpoints
      1. At 08:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Ya’bad then searched residents and vehicles until 13:00.
      2. At 20:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Araba junction then searched residents and vehicles.
      3. At 22:00, Israeli forces set up 4 checkpoints at the east entrance of Ya’bad, at the entrances of Al-Tarm , Turat and Kafriyat village then searched residents and vehicles.
      4. At 22:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Hadad Al-Siyahiya village junction then searched residents and vehicles until 23:10.
Raid
      1. At 20:45, Israeli forces raided Arabah {for the alleged detonation of a homemade UXO near a Israeli Military watch tower located along the main road leading to Ya’bad} and again at 05:45, Israeli forces detained 2 residents then withdrew at 06:00.
      2. At 22:30, Israeli forces raided Kafrit village.
      3. At dawn on March 7th 2016, Israeli forces raided Kafr Ra’I and detained a resident.
Detention
      1. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Mohammad Abdel-Latif Shibani and Mohammad Abdel-Fattah Abdallah Abdel-Khaliq.
      2. Israeli forces detained Jamal Mohammad Munib Al-Sayid in Kafr Ra’i.
Closure of Wall Gates

(i) Israeli forces continue too close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

(i) At 08:30, Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and imped the free flow of traffic.

Raid

(i) At 12:10, Israeli forces raided Kafr Al-Labbad village until 13:45. (ii) At 02:20, Israeli forces raided Tulkarem city until 04:50.

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads
  1. Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
  2. In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
  3. Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate.
Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access. (ii) The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Closure
      1. The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
      2. Since 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
      3. Since 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.
      4. Since 18:30 on January 19th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Huwara and Walada village with dirt mounds.
Military Checkpoints
    1. At 09:45, Israeli forces closed Huwara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic of vehicles travelling to Nablus city after redirecting traffic towards the main road leading to Awarta village then reopened it at a later time.
    2. At 17:00, Israeli forces closed Beit Furiq checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until reopening it at a later time.
Flying Checkpoints
  1. At 14:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Burin village and prevented residents from entering or exiting the village.
  2. At 15:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Sabustiya village then searched residents and vehicles.
Raid
  1. At 09:50, Israeli forces raided Huwara, occupied a home located along the main road and converted its rooftop into a military post then withdrew at 10:50.
  2. At 02:50, Israeli forces raided Nablus.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
  2. Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.
Military Checkpoints

At 13:40, Israeli forces closed Za’tara junction and impeded the free flow of traffic travelling to Nablus city then reopened it at a later time.

Raid

(i) At 16:50, Israeli forces raided Deir Istiya. (ii) At 02:00, Israeli forces raided Kafr Ad Dik until 05:00.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints
  • Israeli forces continue to intensify its restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District.
Flying Checkpoints

At 18:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Fasyil then searched residents and vehicles until 18:50.

BETHLEHEM

Closure
  1. The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
  2. Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.
Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds. (ii) Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds. (iii) Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires. (iv) At 09:15 on February 16th 2016, Israeli forces closed the bypass road connecting Za’tara and Ush Al-Ghurab area located in east Beit Sahur town with dirt mounds. (v) On February 25th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main entrance gate leading to Um Al-Rakaba area in Al-Khader.

Raid

At 20:20, Israeli forces raided Beit Jallah until 21:00.

Attack

At 21:40, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Husan village fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for the alleged firebombing and stoning of a Israeli settler vehicle travelling along the main road.

Temporary Detention

13:45, Israeli forces temporarily detained 3 residents: Zaynab Salem Al-Wahish Maysar Mohammad Hamad Al-Wah’sh, Mohammad Adnan Al-Wahish as they were farming their agricultural land in Al-Fardis village then released them at 14:45.

HEBRON

Closure
  1. The Israeli army continues to close Al-Shuhada’ Street, Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
  2. Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.
Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City. (ii) The Israeli army continues to close the bypass road connecting Bani Na’im and Zif village junction with dirt mounds. (iii) The Israeli Army continues to close the entrance of Beit Ummar (located near the local Cemetery) with dirt mounds.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 09:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Bani Na’im then searched residents and vehicles. (ii) At 15:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Yatta then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 14:30, Israeli forces raided Yatta, stormed and searched a vehicle spare parts shop.

Injuries

At 21:50, Rawhi Mohammad Al-Fakhouri was hospitalized with critical injuries after he was run over by a Israeli Military vehicle near Abu Al-Rish checkpoint in the old city of Hebron.

Temporary Detention

At 17:30, Israeli forces temporarily detained the child Ameer Nabih Mohammad Taha (13 years old){A resident of Abu Snieneh neighborhood in the old city of Hebron} then released him at a later time.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

  • At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of  increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.
  • Israeli forces broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards, Gaza, Khan Yunis and Rafah.
  • sraeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores North Gaza, Central Gaza and Rafah.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

Beit Hanun (Erez) is open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businessmen and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

At 08:30 on March 6th 2016, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in West Beit Lahiya.
