WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure

o On March 9th 2016, the Israeli army, intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
o The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
o The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint.

Military Checkpoints

(i) Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
(ii) On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.
(iii) At 08:10, Israeli forces closed Al-Za’im checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic after shooting incident towards a bus carrying Israeli Settlers near “Ramot” settlement then reopened it at a later time.

Flying Checkpoints

At 21:35, Israeli force set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Rafat village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At 05:00 on March 9th 2016, Israeli forces raided Qatana village detained a child after storming and searching his home.
(ii) At 15:00, Israeli forces raided Beit Anan village and clashed with several residents.
(iii) At 16:00, Israeli forces raided Bidu town and clashed with several residents.
(iv) At 03:30, Israeli forces raided Qalandiya camp, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched the family home of a resident killed by Israeli forces.
(v) At 03:30, Israeli forces raided Kafr Aqab village and stormed a home

Killings

At 08:45, 2 residents: Mohammad Jamal Al-Kalouti (19 years old){A resident of Kafr Aqab village} and Abdel-Malik Abu Kharoub (21 years old) {A resident of Qalandiya camp were killed after Israeli forces opened fire towards them near “Ramot” settlement junction for allegedly opening fire towards a bus carrying Israeli settlers {As alleged by the Israeli Military}.

Attack

(i) At 12:00, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Al-Eisawiya village fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
(ii) At 21:10, Israeli forces positioned at Qalandiya checkpoint fired rubber coated steel bullets stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
(iii) At 21:35, Israeli forces positioned in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city fired rubber coated steel bullets stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Detention

(i) At 03:00 on March 9th 2016, Israeli forces detained Ashraf Al Qaraqi in Al-Ram.
(ii) Israeli forces detained Suhayeb Mohammad Hushiya (17 years old) in Qutna village.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 08:25, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
(ii) At 24:00 on February 14th 2016, closed the main road near the entrance of “Bet El” settlement which leads to Al-Jalazoun camp with cement blocks for alleged gunfire.

House Demolition

(i) At 21:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Ras Kar Kar village then searched residents and vehicles until 22:30.
(ii) At 21:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Kharbatha Bani Harith village then searched residents and vehicles until 22:30.

Raid

At 04:20, Israeli forces raided Al-Jalazoun camp, detained a child and summoned Fihmi Batanjah to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 05:25.

Detention

Israeli forces detained the child: Mohammad Omar Muslih (17 years old) in Al-Jalazoun camp.

Settlers Violence

At 09:35, Israeli settlers positioned near “Dolev” settlement, located between Ein Qinya and Al Janiya village assaulted Issa Abdallah Alqam and prevented him from reaching his agricultural land in the area.

JENIN

Closure

On December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area and declared the area a closed military zone.

Closure of Roads

The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan.

Flying Checkpoints

At 09:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Sanur village then searched residents and vehicles until 13:30..

Raid

(i) At 21:00, Israeli forces raided Kafr Ra’i town, clashed with several residents as they stormed a home then withdrew at 22:10.
(ii) At 21:30, Israeli forces raided Fahma village and clashed with several residents.
(iii) At 03:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Arqa village and detained a resident.
(iv) At 03:15, Israeli force raided Qabtiya town, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes, detained 2 residents then withdrew at 06:25.
(v) At 04:00, Israeli forces raided Ya’bad and detained a resident.

Detention

(i) Israeli forces detained Akrama Abdallah Nayef Yahya in Al-Arqa village.
(ii) Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Ahmad Billal nNazxal and Mohammad Jamal Hanaysha in Qabatiya town.
(iii) Israeli forces detained Shaer Mohammad Hamarsheh in Ya’bad.
(iv) Israeli forces detained Ahmad Nasri Mustafa Ibrahim in Jenin city.

Closure of Wall Gates

Israeli forces continue too close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it.

TUBAS

Detention
  • At 06:00, Israeli forces positioned at Tayassir checkpoint detained Yasiri Mustafa Nour Basharat.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 19:20, Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and imped the free flow of traffic until 19:50.

Flying Checkpoints

At 20:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Baqa Al-Sharqiya town junction then searched residents and vehicles until 20:35.

Raid

(i) At 21:30, Israeli forces raided Allar, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 00:10.
(ii) At 21:40, Israeli forces raided Sayda village, clashed with several residents until 22:05.
(iii) At 22:10, Israeli forces raided Al-Nazlah Al-Sharqiya village.

Attack

At 18:20, Israeli forces positioned near the wall gate in Far’oun village fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads

(i) Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
(ii) In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
(iii) Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate.
(iv) At 04:50 on March 9th 2016, Israeli forces closed all the entrances leading to Haja village with dirt mounds.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 08:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun then searched residents and vehicles.
(ii) At 08:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the entrance of Azzun Atma village then searched residents and vehicles.
(iii) At 08:30, Israeli force sets up a checkpoint in the area between Alp-Fanduq and Hajja villages and prevented residents under the age of 30 from leaving the Hajja village.
(iv) At 10:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Izbit Al-Tabib village then searched residents and vehicles.
(v) At 11:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Jit village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At 01:10, Israeli forces raided Azzun, detained 3 residents then withdrew at 04:00.
(ii) At 01:50, Israeli forces raided Hajja village, clashed with several residents after storming and searching several homes, detained 7 residents then withdrew at 04:45.

Detention

(i) At 11:00, Israeli forces positioned near “Qaddumim” settlement detained Insam Abd Al-Nasssar Musa Shawahna (19 years old){A resident of Immatin village} for allegedly finding a knife in his possession.
(ii) Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Yahya Mohammad Abu Haniya, Sa’id Faroq Abu Haniya and Mustafa Sufiyan Abu Haniya in Azzun.
(iii) Israeli forces detained 7 residents: Mahmoud Abdel-Hadi Tayoun (17 years old), Rabi’ Mohammad Masalha, Fahed Wael Masalha, Alaa Mohammad Masalha, Thaer Mohammad Masalha, Baha Mohammad Masalha and Mohammad Abdel-Qader Masalha in Hajja village.

Temporary Detention

At 14:00, Israeli forces temporarily detained 2 residents: Ranab Mohammad Suwan and Tariq Saber Suwan {Both residents of Immatin village} near Qadumim settlement and released them at 18:40.

Attack

At 22:30, Israeli forces positioned near the wall gate in Al-Naqar neighborhood in Qalqiliya city fired live ammunition, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
(ii) The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Closure

Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
(ii) Since 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.
(iv) Since 18:30 on January 19th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Huwara and Walada village with dirt mounds.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 09:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Jama’in and Zieta Jamai’in village then searched residents and vehicles.
(ii) At 12:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Deir Sharaf village junction, located along the main road connecting Nablus and Tulkarem then searched residents and vehicles until 14:20.
(iii) At 12:50, Israeli force set up a checkpoint at “Shave Shomron ”settlement junction then searched residents and vehicles until 14:00.
(iv) At 18:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near “Yitzhar “ settlement junction located in North Huwara then searched residents and vehicles until 19:30.

Raid

(i) At 03:15, Israeli forces raided Nablus city, detained a residents then withdrew at 05:35.
(ii) At 04:00, Israeli forces raided Iraq Burin village, stormed and searched several homes, detained 4 residents then withdrew at 06:20.

Detention

(i) Israeli forces detained Omar Salah Juhari in Nablus city.
(ii) Israeli forces detained 4 residents: Issam Fathi Ahed Faraj, Ahed Husam Ahed Faraj, Ahmad Issam Ahed and Aqil Issam Ahed Faraj in Iraq Burin village.

Provocation of Palestinian Forces

At 08:00, Israeli forces positioned at Huwara checkpoint temporarily seized and searched a Palestinian National Security Force vehicle and then allowed them to pass through at a later time.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
(ii) Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.

Military Checkpoints

At 11:50 and again at 13:40, Israeli forces intensified its restrictions at Za’tara junction and impeded the free flow of traffic until 15:35.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 18:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Kafr Al-Dik and Deir Ghassaneh then searched residents and vehicles.
(ii) At 22:10, Israeli force set up a checkpoint in the area between Bruqin and Kafr Al-Dik then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At 11:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Zawiya , clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes including the family home of Abdel-Rahman Mahmoud {who was killed by Israeli forces} and took measurements of the home in order to prepare it for demolition then withdrew at 06:25.
(ii) At 13:00, Israeli forces raided Kafr Al-Dik, clashed with several residents until 17:35.
(iii) At 13:30, Israeli forces raided Deir Istiya and detained a resident.
(iv) At 01:25, Isr5aeli force raided Masha village and stormed the family home of Ahmad Yusef Ismail Ammar {who was killed by Israeli forces}, temporarily detained several of his family members then released them after questioning by Israeli Intelligence officers.

At 09:30, the child Ahmad Yusef Ismail Ammar (17 years old) {A resident of Masha village} was killed after Israeli forces opened fire towards him for allegedly attempting to stab a Israeli soldier near Al-Zawiya village bridge {As alleged by the Israeli Military}.

Settlers Violence

At 13:45, a Israeli settler positioned near Barqan settlement assaulted Murad Raed Nayef Suf {A resident of Harris village}as he was working inside the settlement and as a result left him hospitalized with contusions.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints
  • Israeli forces continue to intensify its restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District.
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 07:45 on March 9th 2016 and again at 22:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles until 22:55.
  • At 10:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along road (90) near New’meh village junction located at the North entrance of Jericho then searched residents and vehicles until 11:00.
Raid
  • At 21:55, Israeli forces raided Al-Oja village and detained a National Security Force officer.

BETHLEHEM

Closure
  • The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
  • Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.
Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala  ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to  Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
  • Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
  • Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.
  • At 09:15 on February 16th 2016, Israeli forces closed the bypass road connecting Za’tara and Ush Al-Ghurab area located in east Beit Sahur town with dirt mounds.
  • On February 25th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main entrance gate leading to Um Al-Rakaba area in Al-Khader.

  • At 08:20, Israeli forces closed Al-Nafaq checkpoint located along road (60) in North West Beit Jalla along the main road connecting Bethlehem and Jerusalem districts and impeded the free flow of traffic until reopening it 10:45

  • At 01:55, Israeli forces raided Al-Khader, clashed with several residents, detained a resident then withdrew at 02:45
Detention
  • At 18:45, Israeli forces positioned at Container detained Marwan Mohamad Abdallah Khalifa (a resident of Al-Obidiya).
  • Israeli forces detained Akramah Fadil Ahmad Hamdan in Al-Ja’bah village.
  • Israeli forces detained Yusef Na’im Mustfa in Al-Khadr.

HEBRON

Closure
  • The Israeli army continues to close Al-Shuhada’ Street, Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
  • Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.
Closure of Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
  • The Israeli army continues to close the bypass road connecting Bani Na’im and Zif village junction with dirt mounds.
  • The Israeli Army continues to close the entrance of Beit Ummar (located near the local Cemetery) with dirt mounds.
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 09:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the entrance of Wadi Al-Al-Sjhajna village then searched residents and vehicles.
Raid
  • At dawn on March 9th 2016, Israeli forces raided Al-Dahriya and detained a resident after storming his home.
  • At dawn on March 9th 2016, Israeli forces raided Beit Ula town and detained a resident.
  • At 00:30, Israeli forces raided Yatta, stormed and searched several homes then withdrew at 04:00.
  • At 02:00, Israeli forces raided Hebron city.
Detention
  • At 04:00 on March 9th 2016, Israeli forces detained Tallal Mohammad Ziyad Al-Rajabi after storming his home in the old city of Hebron.
  • At 14:00, Israeli forces detained Khaled Musa Jabarin in Beit Einoun village.
  • Israeli forces detained Sahban Wael Mahmoud Al-Teti in Al-Dahriya.
  • Israeli forces detained Sarhan Hani Suliman in Beit Ula town.
GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

  • At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of  increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.
  • Israeli forces broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Gaza, and Rafah.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points
  • Beit Hanun (Erez) is open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businessmen and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

GAZA

  • Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
  • Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
Attack
  • At 11:15, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Jahr Al-Dik town located in south east Gaza city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points
  • Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
  • Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed
  • Sufa Crossing is closed
  • Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is open for the entry of tourist and foreign diplomats and the entry of Humanitarian assistance and construction material funded by UNRWA.
Attack
  • At 17:30, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Rafah city.
