WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure
  • On March 7th  2016, the Israeli army, intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
  • The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
  • The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.
Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
  • The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint. 
Military Checkpoints
  • Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
  • On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.
Raid
  • At 02:25, Israeli forces raided Biddu until 02:55.
  • At 02:25, Israeli forces raided Beit Suriq village until 05:00.
  • At 03:15, Israeli forces raided Abu Dis, stormed and searched several homes and detained 3 residents.
Detention
  • At dawn on March 7th 2016, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Moath Sa’ed Abd Rabbo and Samir Taha Abd Rabbo in Sur Bahar village.
  • At dawn on March 7th 2016, Israeli forces detained 3 children: Akram Mohammad Zahaqiya (13 years old), Anas Zahaqiya (15 years old) and Shahin Al-Abbassi (14 years old) in Jabal Al-Mukabir neighbourhood.
  • Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Ameer Jafal, Ahmad Rida Erikat and Mahmoud Rida Erikat in Abu Dis.
Obstruction of Places of Worship
  • At 09:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers.
Closure of Wall Gates
  • The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
  • The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
  • At 24:00 on February 14th 2016, closed the main road near the entrance of “Bet El” settlement which leads to Al-Jalazoun camp with cement blocks for alleged gunfire.
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 20:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Atarah bridge then searched residents and vehicles until 22:20.
Raid
  • At dawn on March 7th 2016, Israeli forces raided Kafr Ni’meh village and detained a resident.
  • At 20:10, Israeli forces raided Khirbithat Al-Misbah village, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 21:50.
  • At 03:10, Israeli forces raided Al-Nabi Saleh village, detained a Woman then withdrew at 03:15.
Detention
  • Israeli forces detained Mahdi Mohammad Abdalklah Al-Dik in Kafr Ni’meh village.
  • Israeli forces detained Manal Abdel-Hafith Al-Tamimi in Al-Nabi Saleh village.

JENIN

Closure
  • On December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area  {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area  and declared the area a closed military zone.
Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 13:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Zababdeh then searched residents and vehicles.
Raid
  • At 16:10, Israeli forces raided Kafr Ra’I village until 16:20.
  • At 17:00, Israeli forces raided Sanour village and summoned 2 residents: Abd Al-Salam Aref Habiba and Mohammad Bassam Habiba to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
  • At 04:00, Israeli forces raided Jenin camp and detained a resident after storming his home.
  • At 05:30, Israeli forces raided Ya’bad, detained 3 residents then withdrew at 06:55.
Detention
  • Israeli forces detained Tariq Mahmoud Bilalo in Jenin camp.
  • Israeli forces detained 3 residents:  Mahmoud Bassam Hamarsha, Fadil Mahmoud Nayef Turkman and Amjad Hamarsha in Ya’bad.
Closure of Wall Gates
  • Israeli forces continue too close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it.

TUBAS

Raid
  • At 10:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Aqaba village and took photographs of several houses {under construction} owned by Ibrahim Jaber after storming them then withdrew at 10:50.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints
  • Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and imped the free flow of traffic.
Raid
  • At 15:45, Israeli forces raided Allar until 17:05.
Detention
  • At 22:45, Israeli forces positioned at a checkpoint located near Tulkarem city detained Hamoudeh Ibrahim Qassim Obied {A resident of Jenin camp}.

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads
  • Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
  • In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
  • Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate.
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 18:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Jit village junction then searched residents and vehicles.
Raid
  • At 12:45, Israeli forces raided Jit village, stormed a home then withdrew at 13:40.
  • At 01:40, Israeli forces raided Azzun, stormed several homes and detained a resident.
Detention
  • Israeli forces detained Yusef Zahran Sudin in Azzun.
Closure of Wall Gates
  • The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
  • The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Closure
  • Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.
Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
  • Since 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
  • Since 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.
  • Since 18:30 on January 19th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Huwara and Walada village with dirt mounds.
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 09:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Qabalan then searched residents and vehicles until 10:15.
  • At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Deir Sharaf village junction located along the main road connecting Nablus and Tulkarem then searched residents and vehicles.
Raid
  • At 09:30, Israeli forces raided Qabalan.
  • At 10:15, Israeli forces raided Beit Furiq, clashed with several residents after storming several merchant shops and temporarily detained several residents and released them after questioning them then withdrew at 13:30.
  • At 01:50, Israeli forces raided Burin village, stormed and searched 3 homes then withdrew at 05:00.
  • At 02:20, Israeli forces raided Iraq Burin village detained a resident after storming and searching his home.
Detention
  • Israeli forces detained Jasser Fateh Qaddus in Iraq Burin village.
Assaults on Property
  • On the afternoon of March 7th 2016, Israeli forces prevented Billal Hamad from ploughing his agricultural land located in Suf area in south Aqraba town in Nablus district and also confiscated a tractor owned by Maher Faris Bani Fadel.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
  • Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.
Military Checkpoints
  • At 09:45, Israeli forces closed Za’tara junction and impeded the free flow of traffic travelling to Nablus city then reopened it at a later time.
Temporary Detention
  • At 09:45, Israeli forces positioned at Za’tara junction checkpoint temporarily detained 6 National Security Force Officers: Mohammad Bareedi, Samer Zien, Qais Erikat, Loia Al-Madal, Jawad Kitaneh and Samir Mawaedah then released them at 10:30.
  • At 20:00, Israeli forces positioned at Za’tara junction checkpoint temporarily detained Adel Hassan Bakr (A National Security Force Officer) then released him at 20:50.
Settlers Violence
  • At 04:30, Israeli settlers stormed Kafil Harris town until 04:45.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints
  • Israeli forces continue to intensify its restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 17:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the Dead Sea junction then searched residents and vehicles until 17:50.
  • At 00:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the South entrance of Jericho then searched residents and vehicles until 01:20
Raid
  • At 10:30, Israeli forces raided Fasayil village, stormed several homes and detained 2 residents.
  • At 17:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Jiftlik village until 17:40.
Detention
  • Israeli forces detained Oday Mohammad Abu Lahiya and Eyad Abdallah Salamah Obiyat in Fasayil village.

BETHLEHEM

Closure
  • The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
  • Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.
Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala  ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to  Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
  • Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
  • Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.
  • At 09:15 on February 16th 2016, Israeli forces closed the bypass road connecting Za’tara and Ush Al-Ghurab area located in east Beit Sahur town with dirt mounds.
  • On February 25th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main entrance gate leading to Um Al-Rakaba area in Al-Khader.
  • At 16:30 on March 7th 2016, Israeli forces closed the south entrance of Nihalin.
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 21:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Ush Al-Ghurab area located in east Beit Sahur then searched residents and vehicles until 22:10
Raid
  • At 12:45, Israeli forces raided Beit Jallah and summoned Islam Imad Jawarish to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 14:00.
  • At 01:15, Israeli forces raided Al-Obidiya village, stormed and searched 4 homes then withdrew at 06:10.
  • At 01:50, Israeli forces raided Beit Fajjar, stormed a Bakery, detained 2 residents including child then withdrew at 04:15.
Attack
  • At 12:35 and again at 16:45, Israeli forces positioned near Ayda camp located in North Bethlehem fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for the alleged stoning.
Detention
  • At 20:10, Israeli forces positioned at Al-Container checkpoint detained Ruwayda Fawzi Abu Muis (A resident of Al-Mughier village in Jenin) for allegedly finding a knife in her possession.
  • Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Awni Ahmad Awni Taqatqa (14 years old), Mahmoud Abdallah Khader Taqatqa in Beit Fajjar.
House Demolition
  • On March 7th 2016, Israeli forces stormed Khilat Al-Ein area in Al-Khader andss served military orders for the demolition of 5 homes owned by Issa Hamdan Musa, Yusef Issa Musa, Ali Abd Saleh, Ribhi Hussien Musa and Mohammad Atwan Sabah for allegedly being built without a licence.
New Military Post
  • At 10:40, Israeli forces installed a Military watch tower near the west entrance of Teqou’ in Bethlehem district and also placed Cement Blocks along the main road connecting Taqou’ and Za’tara.

HEBRON

Closure
  • The Israeli army continues to close Al-Shuhada’ Street, Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
  • Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.
Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
  • The Israeli army continues to close the bypass road connecting Bani Na’im and Zif village junction with dirt mounds.
  • The Israeli Army continues to close the entrance of Beit Ummar (located near the local Cemetery) with dirt mounds.
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 08:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Sa’ir, then searched residents and vehicles and again at 10:45 impeded the free flow of traffic after closing the main entrance gate until reopening it at a later time.
  • At 08:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Fuwar camp then searched residents and vehicles.
Raid
  • At dawn on March 7th 2016, Israeli forces raided Al-Aroub camp and detained 2 children.
  • At dawn on March 7th 2016, Israeli forces raided Ithna and detained 2 residents:.
  • At 08:30, Israeli forces raided Beit Ummar, stormed a Orphanage Charity Association and confiscated 3 computers then withdrew at 08:45.
  • At 09:40, Israeli forces raided Al-Nabi Yunis area in Halhoul and demolished a livestock den owned by Abdel-Kareem Mir’ib then withdrew at 10:00.
  • At 10:15 and again at 01:00, Israeli forces raided Hebron and demolished the interior walls of a home owned by the family of Ibrahim Sakafi.
  • At 02:40, Israeli forces raided Dura and detained a resident.
Attack
  • At 16:50, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Beit Einoun village fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and detained a child.
Detention
  • At 18:45, Israeli forces detained Mohammad Jawad Jarradat  near the entrance of Beit Einoun village.
  • Israeli forces detained Mohammad Yusef Hussein Al-Mazin (15 years old) and Hamza Amjad Al-Teti (15 years old) in Al-Aroub camp.
  • Israeli forces detained Salem Ahmad Salem Awad and Wissam Abdel-Raheem Abu Sa’ed in Ithna.
  • Israeli forces detained Ahmad Imad Rushdi Al-Ja’bari {14 years old}in Beit Einoun village.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

  • At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of  increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.
  • Israeli forces broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards, Gaza and Central Gaza.
  • Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores North Gaza.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points
  • Beit Hanun (Erez) is open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businessmen and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.
Attack
  • At 20:00 on March 7th 2016, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in West Beit Lahiya.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points
  • Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
  • Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
Attack
  • At 08:30 on March 7th 2016, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Shuja’iya neighbourhood located in south east Gaza city

CENTRAL GAZA

Palestinian Attacks
  • At 08:00, Palestinian Gunmen opened fire towards a Israeli military vehicle behind the border fence in east Al-Maghazi camp {As alleged by the Israeli Military} during which Israeli forces returned fire in the area and injured a resident.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points
  • Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
  • Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed
  • Sufa Crossing is closed
  • Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is open for the entry of tourist and foreign diplomats and the entry of Humanitarian assistance and construction material funded by UNRWA.
