DAILY SITUATION REPORT

WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Detention

On 03/05/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the Mughrabi Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem detained 2 citizens: Youssef Salah and Ali Al-Absi - (both of them are residents of Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem).

Attack

1. At 14:45, the Israeli occupation forces positioned in the vicinity of Al-Quds University in the town of Abu Dis, fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning.
2. At dawn on 03/06/ 2022, Israeli occupation forces positioned near Bab Hatta (one of the doors leading to Al-Aqsa Mosque) in the Old City of Jerusalem fired towards and killed a civilian for alleged stabbing 2 Israeli policemen.

Killings

The civilian: Samer Jamal Qawasmi, 19 years old - a resident of Al-Tur neighborhood in Jerusalem was killed after Israeli occupation forces opened fire towards him near Bab Hatta (one of the doors leading to Al-Aqsa Mosque) in the Old City of Jerusalem.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

1. On the evening of 03/05/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Nabi Saleh, to search vehicles and check the identities of citizens.
2. At 20:00, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Beitin, to search vehicles and check the identities of the citizens.
3. At 23:30, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the junction of the Wadi El-Delb area, the village of Ras Karkar, to search vehicles and check the identities of the citizens.

Raid

At 01:15, the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Beit Sira, detained a citizen, and withdrew at 03:30.

Detention

The detainee in the village of Beit Sira is: Iyad Hamdan.

JENIN

Raid

At 19:00, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Silat Al-Dhahr, and conducted a patrol.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 17:50, the Israeli occupation forces tightened their procedures at the Shufa checkpoint, and obstructed traffic until 21:55.

QALQILIYA

Attack

1. At 16:00, Israeli occupation forces positioned near the eastern entrance (closed) in the village of Kafr Qaddoum fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters at the demonstrators protesting against the closure of the entrance to the village for alleged stoning and as a result injured 2 civilians and left a number of citizens suffered from suffocation due to inhalation of tear gas.
2. At 18:15, the Israeli occupation forces positioned in the vicinity of “Eyal” checkpoint, north of Qalqilya fired stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning as a result of which a number of citizens suffocated due to tear gas inhalation.

Injuries

The two unidentified civilians were injured during confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces near the (closed) eastern entrance in the village of Kafr Qaddoum.

NABLUS

Detention

On 03/04/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces positioned at the "Shafi Shamron" checkpoint detained 2 citizens: Mazen Ahmed Salem Al-Abayat, and Omar Musa Aladdin - (both of them are residents of Bethlehem).

SALFIT

Temporary Detention

At 21:30, the Israeli occupation forces positioned at a sudden checkpoint at the northern entrance to the city of Salfit temporarily detained the police officer - Azzam Jbara, and the police officer:Amin Mansour, and released them at a later time.

BETHLEHEM

Raid

At 03:05,the Israeli occupation forces raided Aida camp in Bethlehem, detained 2 children, and withdrew at 03:55.

Detention

The two detainees in Aida camp in Bethlehem are: Issa Muhammad Zarina, 17 years old, and Muhammad Mahmoud Ahmad Ja'ara, 17 years old.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 19:25, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the eastern entrance to Dura town, to search vehicles and check the identities of citizens.
2. At 19:30, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Sa'ir, to search vehicles and check the identities of citizens.

Raid

1. At 22:20, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Halhoul and detained a Palestinian Police officer.
2. At 05:25, the Israeli occupation forces raided the city of Hebron, and detained 3 civilians.

Detention

1. At 19:20, the Israeli occupation forces detained the citizen: Musa Hassan Al-Shawaheen, in the Khallet al-Dabaa area, east of Yatta.
2. The detainee in the town of Halhul is: The policeman - Ali Muhammad Ali Al-Hajj.
3. The 3 detainees in the city of Hebron are: Sufian Jamjoom, Jaafar Al-Qawasmi, and Nafez Al-Awiwi.

Settlers Attacks

1. At 20:00, a group of Israeli settlers from the settlements of "Ma'on" and "Hafat Ma'on" entered the agricultural lands of the citizens in the Al-Adra area, east of Yatta town, and uprooted and cut down about 300 almond trees.
2. On 03/05/ 2022, a group of Israeli settlers, east of Yatta, grazing their livestock in an area estimated at 5 dunums planted with winter crops, owned by the family: Al-Shawaheen.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 02:00 on 05/21/ 2021, the comprehensive ceasefire entered into force at the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
• On the morning of 07/30/ 2021, the Israeli occupation forces allowed the expansion of the marine fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 12 nautical miles.
• The Israeli occupation forces violated the cease-fire agreement by firing from their positions on the Green Line in the governorates of North Gaza, Gaza, Central Gaza and Khan Yunis, and by firing at fishermen's boats at sea in the North Gaza Governorate.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanoun crossing - “Erez”: On 03/05/ 2022 is closed {for Saturday holiday}

Attack

1. At 16:45 on 03/05/ 2022, Israeli gunboats fired at the fishermen’s boats while chasing them in the open sea off the coast of the Sudaniya area, west of the town of Beit Lahia.
2. At 20:15 on 03/05/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces fired from their positions on the Green Line, towards agricultural lands east of Jabalia town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar-Karni crossing: closed since 02/03/2011, permanently and by a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Shejaiya Crossing - “Nahal Oz” for fuel: closed since 04. 01. 2010, by unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

At 14:30 on 03/05/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces fired from their positions on the Green Line, towards agricultural lands east of Gaza City.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

1. At 22:45 on 03/05/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces fired from their positions on the Green Line, towards agricultural lands east of Al-Maghazi camp.
2. At 23:00 on 03/05/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces fired from their positions on the Green Line, towards agricultural lands east of Deir al-Balah.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

1. At 10:00 on 03/05/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces fired from their positions on the Green Line, towards agricultural lands east of Khan Yunis.
2. At 16:30 on 03/05/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces fired from their positions on the Green Line, towards agricultural lands east of Al-Farahin area, east of Khan Yunis.
3. At 23:00 on 03/05/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces fired from their positions on the Green Line, towards agricultural lands east of Khuza’a town, east of Khan Yunis.
