Daily Report June 17, 2016

1. On June 14th 2016, the Israeli Military intensified their restrictions and prevented residents and workers including those carrying entry permits from entering Jerusalem city and Israel with the exception of Diplomatic missions, International Organization members, Humanitarian cases and those carrying special permits for prayer into Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
2. The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
3. The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.

At 02:30, Israeli forces detained Marwan Saleem Ibrahim Musa (18 years old) {A resident of Al-Khadr town} in Jerusalem city.

At 12:30, Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers.

At 17:25, Israeli forces positioned near Bab Al-Amoud {Damascus Gate} in the old city of Jerusalem confiscated several "Sesame seed Bread" stands owned by residents.

The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages.

On December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area and declared the area a closed military zone.

The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan.

1.At 12:25, Israeli forces raided Haja village located in east Qalqilya city and served a military order for the demolition of the family home nof Bashar Masalha {Who was killed by Israeli forces} giving them until June 20th 2016 to remove their belongings.
2. At 02:15, Israeli forces raided Kafr Abboush village located in east Qalqilya city, stormed and searched a home , detained a resident then withdrew at 03:50.

Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.

• Closure of Main Roads:
1. The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
2. Since 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
3. Since 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.
4. At 18:45 on June 6th 2016, Israeli forces closed off the main road connecting Awarta and Odala villages with dirt mounds.

1. At 14:30 and again at 21:40, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Huwara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 23:40.
2. At 21:40, Israeli forces closed Beit Furiq checkpoint until 23:40.

At 21:40, Israeli forces raided Huwara town, fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades as they clashed with several residents and occupied the rooftops of several homes then withdrew at 04:10.

1. The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
2. Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.

At 21:40, Israeli forces closed Za’tara checkpoint then reopened it at 23:40.

At 02:55, Israeli forces raided Kafr Ad-Dik town, detained 2 residents then withdrew at 03:50

Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District and impeded the free flow of traffic.

At 15:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at At-Taybeh junction{ located along the main road connecting Jericho and Ramallah} then searched residents and vehicles.

At 22:15, Israeli forces detained Mohammed Hamad Al-Sarafandi {A resident of Ein Al-Sultan camp} as he was reporting to Israeli Intellegnce for questioning based on a prior summon.

At 21:30, a Israeli settler vehicle ran over Mohammad Ayman Saqer (22 years old) as he was riding his Camel and as a result killed the camel and left him hospitalised with contusions.

1. The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
2. Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.

The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
2. Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
3. Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires

1. At 21:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Teqou' then searched residents and vehicles,

2. At 21:30, Israeli forces raided Marah Rabah village located in south Bethlehem city, stormed and searched a chicken farm and inspected surveillance cameras then withdrew at 23:45.

At 13:45, Israeli forces positioned at checkpoint (300) located in North Bethlehem city temporarily detained Sabrin Yusef Abdel-Hafith Ghayatha (26 years old) then released him at 15:00.

1. The Israeli army continues to close Al-Shuhada’ Street, Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.

1.At 02:00, Israeli forces raided Yatta town, stormed and searched several homes during which they fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades as they clashed with several residents then withdrew at 04:25.
2.At 02:00, Israeli forces raided Tarqumiya town and detained a resident as they stormed and searched his home.

* Beit Hanun (Erez) is open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.
