WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure

(i) On June 7th 2016, The Israeli army intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
(iii) The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint.

Military Checkpoints

(i) Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
(ii) On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.

Raid

(i) At 23:40, Israeli forces raided the area located in the east entrance of Qalandiya camp.
(ii) At 02:40, Israeli forces raided Al-Swaher Al-Sharqiya village.

Detention

At 16:00, Israeli forces positioned at Qalandiya checkpoint detained 2 residents: Hashim Mujahid Al-Saqa and Ameer Mujahid Al-Saqa {both residents of Qalandiya camp}.

Settlement Activities

On June 7th 2016, The Committee of planning in Israeli Municipality of Jerusalem approved plans for the construction of 82 settlement units in “Ramat Shlomo” located in North Jerusalem city on land occupied in 1967.

Settlers Violence

At dawn on June 7th 2016, a group of Israeli settlers assaulted Khaled Dabish(A resident of Sur Baher village) {A bus driver for “Egged Bus company” and as a result left him hospitalised with contusions.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:00, Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
(ii) Since 24:00 on February 14th 2016, closed the main road near the entrance of “Bet El” settlement which leads to Al-Jalazoun camp with cement block.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 10:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Abu Mash’al village then searched residents and vehicles until 14:30.
(ii) At 17:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village then searched residents and vehicles.
(iii) At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Abboud town and detained a resident.

Raid

(i) At 02:45, Israeli forces raided Dura Al-Qare’ village and detained a resident.
(ii) At 03:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Jalazoun camp until 04:25.
(iii) At 03:30, Israeli forces raided Deir Abu Mash’al village then stormed and searched a home and withdrew at 04:05.
(iv) At 04:00, Israeli forces raided Kafr Malik village until 05:10.
(v) At 04:10, Israeli forces raided Beit Illo village, stormed and searched 2 homes then withdrew at 05:00.

Detention

(i) Israeli forces detained Abdel-Kareem Mohammad Abdel-Hafith Shawar {A resident of Beit Rima town}.
(ii) Israeli forces detained Eyad Nahed Foqat in Dur Al-Qare’ village.

JENIN

Closure

On December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area and declared the area a closed military zone.

Closure of main Roads

The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 16:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Jaba’ town junction then searched residents and vehicles until 17:15.
(ii) At 00:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Ti’inik village junction and detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Mohammad Bassam Mohammad Husini (A resident of Jenin city) near Ti’nik village junction.

Closure of Wall Gates

Israeli forces continue to close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it.

TUBAS

Closure of main Roads

Since 12:30 on March 15th 2016, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Al-Aqaba village with cement blocks

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces continued to intensify their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Detention

At 10:45, Israeli forces detained 6 residents: Nasrallah Yasser Ofat (A resident of Tulkarem camp),Bassam Mohammad Ahmad Ofat (A resident of Tulkarem camp), Yusef Hilmi Yusef Khalil (A resident of Attil), Mohammad Ahmad Mahmoud Yunis (A resident of Bal’a town), Mahdi Hazim Mohammad Nimr Thiyab (A resident of Kafr Ra’I town in Jenin District), Mohammad Talal Thiyab (A resident of Kafr Ra’I town) in the area located between Shukiya neighbourhood in Tulkrem city and Al-Jaroushiya village

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads

(i) Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
(ii) In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
(iii) Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate.

Raid

At 01:15, Israeli forces raided Al-Fandouq and Hajaa villages, temporarily detained 5 residents including 3 children: Nofal Jallal Nofal (16 years old), Fadi Bassam Da’as (16 years old), Abdel-Lattif Ammar Battat (16 years old), Mohammad Al-Aqra’ and Nabeel Batat then released them at a later time.

Temporary Detention

Israeli Forces temporarily detained 5 residents including 3 children: Nofal Jallal Nofal (16 years old), Fadi Bassam Da’as (16 years old), Abdel-Lattif Ammar Battat (16 years old), Mohammad Al-Aqra’ and Nabeel Batat then released them at a later time.

At 23:00, Israeli forces detained Taher Mohammad Hassan Nofal (A resident of Qalqiliya city) as he was reporting to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
(ii) The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Closure

Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
(ii) Since 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.
(iv) At 18:45 on June 6th 2016, Israeli forces closed off the main road connecting Awarta and Odala villages with dirt mounds.

Raid

At 02:15, Israeli forces raided Awarta village stormed and searched Tayil Sayil Qawariq’a home and confiscated surveillance camera footage then withdrew at 04:30.

House Demolition

On June 7th 2016, Israeli forces stormed the south area of Duma village and served military orders for the demolition of homes and a carpentry mill owned by Eyad Dawabsheh {A home and a carpentry mill} and Majdi Sa’id Dawabsheh {A home} for allegedly being built without a licence.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
(ii) Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.

Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District and imped the free flow of traffic

BETHLEHEM

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
(ii) Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
(ii) Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.

Raid

At 02:35, Israeli forces raided Beit Fajjar town and detained a child after storming and searching his home.

Detention

(i) On June 7th 2016, Israeli forces detained Mahmoud Jaffar Taqatqa {A resident of Beit Fajjar town} as he was reporting to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
(ii) Israeli forces detained Mohammad Issa Fakhri Thawabteh (17 years old) in Beit Fajjar town.

HEBRON

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close Al-Shuhada’ Street, Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
(ii) Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the bypass road connecting Bani Na’im and Zif village junction with dirt mounds.
(iii) The Israeli Army continues to close the entrance of Beit Ummar (located near the local Cemetery) with dirt mounds.

Flying Checkpoints

At 12:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Fah’s area located in south Hebron city then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At 06:00 on June 7th 2016, Israeli forces raided Surif town and detained 2 residents including a Police Officer.
(ii) At 24:00, Israeli forces raided Khilat Al-A’qed village until 01:10.
(iii) At 02:25, Israeli forces raided Hebron city until 04:10.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 4 residents: Alaa Jibril Abu Farat, Raf’e Jibril Abu Farah, Mahmoud Mohammad Al-Heih and Usayed Abu Khadeir in Surif town.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza and Rafah.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

Beit Hanun (Erez) is open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

At 06:00 on June 8th 2016, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town, detained 3 fisher men and sunk the fishing boat.

Destruction of Property

Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards and sunk a fishing boat.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 3 fishermen: Khalil Muh’sin Abu Rayalah, Shaher Muh’sin Abu Rayala and Mohammad Hassan Abu Rayalah off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
(ii) Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
(ii) Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
(iii) Sufa Crossing is closed.
(iv) Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is open for the entry Humanitarian assistance.

Attack

At 21:00 on June 8th 2016, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Rafah city.
