WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure

(i) On June 4th 2016, The Israeli army intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
(iii) The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint.

Military Checkpoints

(i) Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
(ii) On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.

Flying Checkpoints

At 15:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Qalandiya village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At 02:20, Israeli forces raided Biddu town, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes, detained 2 residents then withdrew at 05:00.
(ii) At 02:20, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village and detained a resident.

Detention

(i) Israeli forces detained Eyad Ahmad Hussien Khoudari and Zuhier Ali Mohammad Hamidan in Biddu town.
(ii) Israeli forces detained Issa Dirbas in Al-Eisawiya village.

Settlers Violence

At 00:30, a group of Israeli settlers stormed the old city of Jerusalem and attempted to set fire to a merchant shop owned by Tarik Al-Amouri during which local residents were able to put out they fire before any damage was caused.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
(ii) Since 24:00 on February 14th 2016, closed the main road near the entrance of “Bet El” settlement which leads to Al-Jalazoun camp with cement block.

Flying Checkpoints

At 21:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Atarah bridge then searched residents and vehicles until 23:00.

Raid

(i) At 24:00, Israeli forces raided Deir Nathim village and summoned Hamza Fadil Abdel-Hameed Al-Tamimi to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 01:30.
(ii) At 02:50, Israeli forces raided Abboud town and summoned Mahmoud Shalatwah to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
(iii) At dawn on June 5th 2016, Israeli forces raided Dura Al-Qare’ village and detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Awad Allah Jamal Hassan in Dura Al-Qare’ village.

JENIN

Closure

On December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area and declared the area a closed military zone.

Closure of main Roads

The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan.

Closure of Wall Gates

Israeli forces continue to close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it.

TUBAS

Closure of main Roads

Since 12:30 on March 15th 2016, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Al-Aqaba village with cement blocks.

Raid

At 03:00, Israeli forces raided Tubas city, clashed with several residents as they stormed a home and as a result injured Khalil Majdi Hikmat Al-Masri, detained a resident then withdrew at 03:50.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured Khalil Majdi Hikmat Al-Masri.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Ashraf Mustafa Tawfeeq Daraghmeh in Tubas city.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 10:20 and again at 21:05, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and impeded the free flow of traffic until 22:50.

Raid

At 20:50, Israeli forces raided Shweikiya neighbourhood in Tulkarem, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched a home and confiscated a vehicle owned by Ayed Nadi Mohammad Yahya then withdrew at 23:55.

Confiscation of Property

Israeli forces confiscated a vehicle owned by Ayed Nadi Mohammad Yahya in Shweikiya neighbourhood in Tulkarem.

Settlers Violence

At 22:20, a group of Israeli settlers positioned near the steel wall gate located near Shufa and Izbit Shufa villages located near “Avnei Hafetz” settlement and provoked residents by dancing and singing in the area then withdrew at 23:20.

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads

(i) Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
(ii) In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
(iii) Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate.

Flying Checkpoints

At 14:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Jayous town and assaulted Fadi Mohammad Shamasneh {A resident of Jayous}.

Demonstrations

At 17:40, a demonstration took place in Kafr Qaddum against the closure of the east entrance during which they clashed with Israeli forces tried to disrupt the demonstration by firing live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards demonstrators who attempted to reach they demonstration site and as a result injured the child Wael Abdallah Fathi Hamad (15 years old) {bullet wound to his upper thigh} and left several other residents suffocating from tear gas inhalation.

Attack

Israeli forces tried to disrupt the demonstration by firing live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards demonstrators who attempted to reach they demonstration site in Kafr Qaddum.

NABLUS

Closure

Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
(ii) Since 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.

Flying Checkpoints

At 00:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Yitma village junction then searched residents and vehicles until 01:40.

Settlers Violence

At 00:15, a group of Israeli settlers from “ Yitzhar” settlement stormed agricultural land in Burin village and set fire to it during which Palestinian Civil Defence forces were able to extinguish the flames.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
(ii) Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.

Military Checkpoints

At 09:00, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 09:55.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District and impede the free flow of traffic.

BETHLEHEM

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
(ii) Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
(ii) Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires

Raid

(i) At dawn on June 4th 2016, Israeli forces raided Teqou’ town and summoned 2 residents: Amer Saleem Za’al Jibril and Mahmoud Hassan Abu Mifrih to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
(ii) At 08:50, Israeli forces raided Beit Fajjar town, stormed and searched a stone mill owned by Mohammad Ahmad Daqaq located in the west area of town and confiscated a surveillance camera recorder.
(iii) At 01:25, Israeli forces raided Nihalin village, detained a resident then withdrew at 02:30.
(iv) At dawn on June 5th 2016, Israeli forces raided Wadi Fuqin village and detained a resident.

Attack

At 07:35 on June 4th 2016, Israeli forces positioned at “Mazmoriya” checkpoint located in North Beit Shour town opened fire towards a vehicle.

Detention

(i) Israeli forces detained Muhanad Ayed Mohammad Abu Aker in Nihalin village.
(ii) Israeli forces detained Suliman Issa Al-Haroub in Wadi Fuqin village.

HEBRON

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close Al-Shuhada’ Street, Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
(ii) Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the bypass road connecting Bani Na’im and Zif village junction with dirt mounds.
(iii) The Israeli Army continues to close the entrance of Beit Ummar (located near the local Cemetery) with dirt mounds.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 14:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Beit Annun village junction then searched residents and vehicles until 15:30.
(ii) At 15:25 and again at 20:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Fuwar camp then searched residents and vehicles until 23:00.

Raid

(i) At 00:35, Israeli forces raided Bani Na’im town , stormed and searched several homes, detained 3 residents the withdrew at 03:35.
(ii) At dawn on June 5th 2016, Israeli forces raided Sa’ir town and detained 2 residents.
(iii) At dawn on June 5th 2016, Israeli forces raided Al-Aroub camp and detained 2 residents.

Settlers Violence

At 20:30, a group of Israeli settlers positioned in the old city of Hebron assaulted a resident during which Israeli Military forces detained him as he was attempting to defend himself from the settler’s assault.

Detention

(i) Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Ali Hassan Khali Zibidat , Mohammad Khalil Zabidat and Musa Khalil Zabidat in Bani Na’im town.
(ii) Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Muhieb Al-Nijmi and Ma’oayad Abu Sal in Al-Aroub camp.
(iii) Israeli forces detained Abdel-Bassit Hamza Ghayth in the old city of Hebron

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Khan Yunis.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

Beit Hanun (Erez) is closed.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
(ii) Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 08:15 on June 4th 2016, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Khaz’a town.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
(ii) Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the entry and exit of Medical patients, students and those with valid permits.
(iii) Sufa Crossing is closed.
(iv) Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed.
