WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Raid

At 12:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village and detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Atta Darbas in Al-Eisawiya village.

Attack

At 20:00, Israeli forces positioned in Ras Kabsat area located in Abu Dis town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 11:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Military Checkpoints

Since 11:35 on December 13th 2018, Israeli forces continued its closure of "Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Beit El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city {for the 22nd consecutive day} and prevented residents and vehicles from crossing the checkpoint in both directions.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 18:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Halmish" settlement junction then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 20:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Ein Sinya village roundabout then searched residents and vehicles.

Settlers Attacks

At 09:35, a group of Israeli settlers stormed the outskirts of Silwad town and stoned the home of Raed Hamad which is located near "Ofra" military base/settlement.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Izbit Al-Tabib village then searched residents and vehicles until 13:00.
2. At 09:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Qalqiliya city and Hablat town then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 16:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along the main road connecting Qalqiliya and Nablus {located near Qadumim settlement} then searched residents and vehicles.
4. At 00:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun town then searched residents and vehicles until 01:50.

Attack

At 16:05, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Kafr Qaddum village fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

At 10:30, Israeli forces closed Huwara military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic then reopened it at a later time.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 16:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Muraba'a area located near the entrance of Tel village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 22:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Sara village junction {located along the main road connecting Nablus and Qalqiliya} then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 11:05, Israeli forces raided Tel village until 13:00.

Detention

At 20:55 on January 2nd 2019, Israeli forces detained Mohammad Jawdat Ihaq Al-Sa'udi during their raid into Nablus city {in addition to those mentioned in the previous report}.

Attack

On January 3rd 2019, Israeli forces positioned at military checkpoint located in east Tel village fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several school children for alleged stoning as they where exiting the school.

Settlers Attacks

1. At 10:30, a group of Israeli settlers positioned at Huwara military checkpoint stoned residents and vehicles passing through the checkpoint.
2. On the evening of January 3rd 2019, a group of Israeli settlers positioned near "Yitshar" settlement outpost located in North Huwara town stoned residents and vehicles passing through the area.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

At 11:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Zawiya town then searched residents and vehicles until 13:55.

Raid

1. At 10:00, Israeli forces raided Qarwat Bani Hassan town, stormed and searched a home then withdrew at 13:55.
2. At 19:00, Israeli forces raided Kafr Al-Dik town then stormed and searched a home.
3. At 02:30, Israeli forces raided Kafil Harris town until 05:40.

Settlers Attacks

1. At 09:00, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Bruqin town and chopped off the limbs of 30 Olive trees owned by Ziyad Barakat Abu Zied.
2. At 17:40, a group of Israeli settlers positioned along the main road connecting Salfit and Qalqiliya districts stoned a vehicle of the Palestinian Minister of Religious Affairs.
3. On the evening of January 3rd 2019, Israeli forces positioned at Za'tara military checkpoint stoned vehicles passing through the area.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Aqbat Hasna area {located along the main road leading to the west villages of Bethlehem district} then searched residents and vehicles until 17:15.

HEBRON

Raid

At 00:15, Israeli forces raided Yatta town then stormed and searched several homes.

Attack

At 20:10, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Arroub camp fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several homes located at the camp entrance for alleged stoning.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah and on July 17th 2018, Israeli forces reduced the fishing area from 6 nautical miles to 3 nautical miles, On August 15th 2018, Israeli forces increased the fishing area from 3 nautical miles up to 9 nautical miles from the coast of Al-Badeir area located in Central Gaza up to Rafah district located South of the Gaza strip and on October 6th 2018, Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit to 3 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip coasts and on October 23rd 2018 increased the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza,Khan Yunis and Rafah districts.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

1. At 13:00 on January 3rd 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Beit Hanoun town.
2. At 16:00 on January 3rd 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Jabaliya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

1. At 12:00 on January 3rd 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land located in east Khuz'a town located in east Khan Yunis city.
2. At 16:40 on January 3rd 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards several resiednts attempting to climb the border fence into Israel.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit and entry of residents.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entrance of Humanitarian aid, limited supplies of Diesel fuel and construction material for Internationally funded projects.

Attack

1. At 09:30 on January 3rd 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Rafah city.
2. At 11:30 on January 3rd 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Shukat town located in east Rafah city.
