DAILY SITUATION REPORT
08:00, 21st January 2020 – 08:00, 22nd January 2020
At 09:00,a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.
At 16:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Ras Kar Kar village junction then searched residents and vehicles.
On the evening of January 21st 2020, Israeli forces raided Um Safa village and clashed with several residents.
On the evening of January 21st 2020, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Um Safa village.
At 08:10,Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Tayassir Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.
At 11:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Shavie Shamron" settlement junction then searched residents and vehicles.
1. At 22:15, Israeli forces raided Salem village until 01:15.
2. At dawn on January 22nd 2020, Israeli forces raided Sabastiya town and detained a resident after storming and searching his home.
Israeli forces detained Mohammad Makhmier in Sabastiya town.
At 23:30, Israeli forces positioned at Za'tara junction military checkpoint detained Yazan Jafar Fawzi Abu Salah {a resident of Araba town in Jenin district}.
At 18:40,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Nashash area junction {located at the south entrance of Bethlehem city} then searched residents and vehicles until 19:50.
At 23:20, Israeli forces positioned at Al-Container military checkpoint assaulted the child: Marouf Ahmad Al-Atrash {15 years old}{a resident of Beit Jala city} and as a result left him hospitalised with contusions.
• At 19:00 on August 26th 2019,The permanent and comprehensive cease-fire entered into force on the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, introduce humanitarian and relief assistance and reconstruction supplies, expand the fishing area for 6 miles, Up to 12 miles by the end of the current year, reducing the area of the buffer zone from 300 m to 100 m, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. The other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within one month of the cease-fire.
On the morning of 28 June 2019, the Israeli occupation forces allowed the expansion of the sea fishing area in the north of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip and up to 6 nautical miles from the port of Gaza and from the port of Gaza to the south of Rafah until 15 nautical miles.
•Israeli forces broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Gaza and Central Gaza districts and as a result injured a resident.
*Israeli forces killed 3 residents as they were attempting to climb the border fence from the Gaza strip into Israel.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Rafah district.
* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.
* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
At 18:30 on January 21st 2020,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Gaza city and as a result injured a resident.
Israeli forces injured a unidentified resident after opening fire towards east Gaza city.
At 11:00 on January 21st 2020,,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards several residents near the border fence in east Al-Buriej camp.
At 21:00 on January 21st 2020, the Israeli occupation forces announced that 3 civilians (including a child) were killed, as a result of shooting at them, on the pretext that they were armed, as they infiltrated the border fence into Israel east of Al-Maghazi camp. They are: Muhammad Hani Musaad Salem Abu Mandil (17 year old)(a resident of Al-Maghazi camp), Salem Zuweid Hweishel Al-Naamy ( 18 years old)(a resident of Al-Maghazi camp) and Mahmoud Khaled Mahmoud Saeed(18 years old)(a resident of east of Deir al-Balah town).
* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit and entry of residents.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entrance of Humanitarian aid, limited supplies of Diesel fuel and construction material for Internationally funded projects.
At 23:45 on January 21st 2020,Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Rafah city.
