WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure
  1. On February 22nd 2016, the Israeli army, intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers under the age of 50 from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
  2. The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
  3. The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.
Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
  2. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint
Military Checkpoints
  1. Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
  2. On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.

  1. At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Anata then searched residents and vehicles.
Detention
  1. At 16:00, Israeli forces detained Omar Ramzi Al-Za’anin in Jerusalem.
Obstruction of Places of Worship
  1. At 09:00, Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers
Closure of Wall Gates
  1. The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
  2. The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
  2. On December 15th 2015, Israeli forces closed the West entrance of Al-Labban Al-Gharbi village with cement blocks.
  3. At 09:20 on February 9th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Shuqba and Shbatin villages with cement blocks and also installed a steel gate in the area.
  4. At 24:00 on February 14th 2016, closed the main road near the entrance of “Bet El” settlement which leads to Al-Jalazoun camp with cement blocks for alleged gunfire.
Flying Checkpoints
  1. At 19:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area located between Safa and Beit Ur At Tahta villages then searched residents and vehicles until 21:30.
Raid
  1. At 19:25, Israeli forces raided Beitin village, clashed with several residents as they stormed several homes, detained 3 residents then withdrew at 21:30.
  2. At 02:40, Israeli forces raided Al-Jalazoun camp and temporarily detained Ramiz Nayef Aliyan (A Intelligence Force Officer) and released him at a later time then withdrew at 05:25.
  3. At 03:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Bireh city and detained a resident.
  4. At 04:40, Israeli forces raided Bir Ziet and detained a resident.
Detention
  1. Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Samer Khaled Hamed, Uazan Khaled Hamed and Sameh Jamal Hamad in Beitin village.
  2. Israeli forces detained Faraj Abdel-Rahman Musa Rumanah in Al-Bireh city.
  3. Israeli forces detained Ayman Khalil Abu Aram in Bir Ziet.

JENIN

Closure
  1. On December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area  {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area  and declared the area a closed military zone.
Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan.
  2. At 21:40 on February 21st 2016, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Jenin city and Qabatiya with dirt mounds
Raid
  1. Since 21:40 on February 21st 2016, Israeli forces remain present in Qabatiya village and extended its blockade {of the village for the second consecutive day} after closing all the roads leading to the area with dirt mounds and prevented residents from entering or exiting the village, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes and as a result injured a child and detained a resident.
  2. At 03:45, Israeli forces raided Meithalun town and detained 2 residents after storming their homes.
  3. At 04:00, Israeli forces raided Sanur village then stormed and searched several homes and a steel mill.
  4. At 04:35, Israeli forces raided Ya’bad, stormed several homes, detained 3 residents then withdrew at 05:10.
Detention
  1. Israeli forces detained Abed Mahmoud Samadi in Qabatiya town.
  2. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Kifah Ali  Rabi’a and Mahmoud Salah Abdel-Latif Raba’ya in Meithalun town.
  3. Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Ehab Mohammad A’l Abu Bakr, Izaldin Amarneh and Mohammad Ahmad Amarneh in Ya’bad
Closure of Wall Gates
  1. Israeli forces continue too close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints
  1. At 09:10, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and impeded the free flow of traffic until 14:15.

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads
  1. Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
  2. In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
  3. Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate
Closure of Wall Gates
  1. The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
  2. The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Closure
  1. Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.
Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close the roads of Til-Burin and Beit Furik-Salem; the settler bypass road connecting the village of Deir al Hatab to the settlement of Alon Moreh; the road connecting the town of ‘Aqraba to the village of Osrin; and the detour road between the town of Qabalan and the village of Osrin.
  2. The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
  3. At 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
  4. At 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.
  5. At 18:30 on January 19th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Huwara and Walada village with dirt mounds.
Military Checkpoints
  1. At 07:15 on February 22nd 2016, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Huwara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.
  2. At 08:55, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Beit Furiq and impeded the free flow of traffic until 12:40.
Flying Checkpoints
  1. At 11:20 and again at 18:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along Beita junction then searched residents and vehicles until 23:30.
Raid
  1. At 02:05, Israeli forces raided Nablus city, Balata, Askar Ein Beit Al-Ma camps and Kafr Qalil village, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes and as a result injured  9 residents including a child who was critically injured after being rammed by a Israeli Military vehicle:  Eyad Nasser Hashash (17 years old){ who was critically injured after being rammed by a Israeli Military vehicle}, Salah Ali Al-Baghdadi, Aboud Raed Fatouh, Jamil Mustafa Amran, Ahmad Jamil Sharqawi, Thaer Ghazi Khalil, Mujahid Mohammad Hamoudeh, Abdel-Kareen Fatouh and Assi Mohammad Jadallah and also detained 9 residents then withdrew at 07:00.
Detention
  • Israeli forces detained 9 residents: Maher Khatab, Ahmad Njoud Salah, Mohammad Subhi Abdel-Rameem, Shaher Ali Al-Nijmi, Mohammad Mut’ab Al-Terawi, Ward Jihad Abu Rizq, Akram Hamdi Al-Bay’a, Ala Mansour and Mohammad Mash’al during their raid into Nablus city, Balata, Askar Ein Beit Al-Ma camps and Kafr Qalil village.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
  2. Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.
  3. At 09:30 on February 17th 2016, Israeli forces closed a agricultural road which connects Kafr Harris and Harris village {located beneath the bridge}.

  1. At 09:45 Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at  Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 12:40.

  1. At 11:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Yasuf village then searched residents and vehicles.
Detention
  1. At 18:50, Israeli forces positioned at Za’tara junction checkpoint detained 2 residents: Sami Yasser Mahmoud Salah and Samer Taysir Mohammad Salah (both residents of Al-Sawiya village in Nablus district

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints
  1. Israeli forces continue to intensify its restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District.
Flying Checkpoints
  1. At 23:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Jericho then searched residents and vehicles.
Raid
  1. At 12:20, Israeli forces raided Al-Jiftlik village and detained 5 residents.
  2. At 00:50, Israeli forces raided Jericho city.
Detention
  1. Israeli forces detained 5 residents: Khaled Abdel-Aziz Al-Atwanah, Omar Suliman Abu Rizq, Yassir Ismail Abu Hatab , Mustafa Mohammad Abu Saleem and Hamzah Mohammad Abu Saleem in Al-Jiftlik village.

BETHLEHEM

Closure
  1. The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
  2. Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.

  1. The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala  ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to  Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
  2. Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
  3. Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.
  4. At 09:15 on February 16th 2016, Israeli forces closed the bypass road connecting Za’tara and Ush Al-Ghurab area located in east Beit Sahur town with dirt mounds.
  5. At 15:45 on February 17th 2016 Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Taqou’ and Harmalah village with Cement blocks.
Flying Checkpoints
  1. At 17:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Nashash area junction located at the south entrance of Bethlehem city, detained a resident then withdrew at 22:00.
  2. At 19:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Beit Fajjar then searched residents and vehicles until 01:00.
  3. At 19:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Marah Rabah village then searched residents and vehicles until 22:40.
  4. At 22:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Husan village then searched residents and vehicles until 24:00.
Raid
  1. At 13:20, Israeli forces raided Al-Khader and summoned Othman Jum’a Taha Salah to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
  2. At 02:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Doha, detained a resident then withdrew at 06:30
Attack
  1. At 22:50, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Nahhalin village fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
Detention
  1. Israeli forces positioned at a checkpoint near Al-Nashash area junction located at the south entrance of Bethlehem city detained Saber Yusef Ibrahim Al-Sous (A resident of Dura town in Hebron).
  2. Israeli forces detained Mohammad Munjid Yusef Khalab in Al-Doha town.
Temporary Detention
  • At 20:30, Israeli forces positioned at “Kafr Itsiyon” settlement junction temporarily detained Ali Yusef Mohammad Thawabteh (A resident of Beit Fajjar town) then released him at 20:55.

HEBRON

Closure
  1. The Israeli army continues to close Al-Shuhada’ Street, Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
  2. Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.

  1. The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
  2. The Israeli army continues to close the bypass road connecting Bani Na’im and Zif village junction with dirt mounds.
  3. The Israeli Army continues to close the entrance of Beit Ummar (located near the local Cemetery) with dirt mounds.

  1. At 17:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Zif village and Al-Fuwar camp junctions then searched residents and vehicles.

  1. At 00:35, Israeli forces raided Deir Samit village and stormed the family home of Mohammad Abdel-Bassit Al-Haroub {A Palestinian Detainee}.
  2. At 01:00, Israeli forces raided Tarousah village and stormed the family home of Raed Mahmoud Masalmeh  {A Palestinian Detainee}.
  3. At dawn on February 23rd 2016, Israeli forces raided Al-Samou’ and detained a resident.
Detention
  1. At dawn on February 22nd 2016, Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Munjid Al-Sharif, Abdel-Rahman Ramadan and Kheyri Doud Rashid Abu Isneneh (All residents of Hebron city).
  2. Israeli forces detained Jibril Ahmad Al-Hamoudeh in Al-Samou’.
House Demolition
  • At 08:45, Israeli forces stormed Khirbit Al-Taban and Khirbiet Al-Fakhit area’s located in south east Yatta and served military orders for the demolition of 4 homes and 3 livestock dens owned by Mohammad Ayoub Abu Sabha , Muhyi Abu Sabha and Akram Abu Sabha.
GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

  • At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of  increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.
  • Israeli forces broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Gaza and Central Gaza.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

Beit Hanun (Erez) is Beit Hanun (Erez) open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businessmen and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points
  1. Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
  2. Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision
Attack
  • At 17:00, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards several residents positioned in the vicinity of Al-Muntar (Karni) crossing located in east Gaza city and as a result injured a residents leaving him hospitalised.
Detention
  • At 13:45, Israeli forces detained a unidentified residents as he was attempting to climb the border fence from east Al-Shuja’iya neighbourhood located in east Gaza city into Israel.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack
  • At 16:00, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Buriej camp

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points
  1. Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
  2. Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed
  3. Sufa Crossing is closed
  4. Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is open for the entry of tourist and foreign diplomats and the entry of Humanitarian assistance and construction material funded by UNRWA.
