WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure
  1. On February 9th 2016, the Israeli army, intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers under the age of 50 from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
  2. The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
  3. The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.
Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
  2. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint. 
Military Checkpoints
  1. Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
  2. On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.
Raid
  1. At 10:30, Israeli forces raided Samir Amis area located in North Jerusalem, stormed and searched a home then withdrew at 14:00.
  2. At 22:30, Israeli forces raided Qalandiya camp, clashed with several residents and detained 2 residents.
  3. At 03:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Eizariya, detained 2 residents then withdrew at 04:00.
  4. At 03:20, Israeli forces raided Kafr Aqab village and detained 2 residents.
  5. At dawn on February 10th 2016, Israeli forces raided Abu Dis and detained a resident.
Attack
  • At 20:30, Israeli forces positioned in Silwan neighbourhood fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
Detention
  1. At 10:30, Israeli forces positioned in Bab Al-Amoud area in Jerusalem detained Malik Yusef Hamdan Suliman (14 years old) {A resident of Beit Safafa village} for allegedly attempting to stab an Israeli soldier.
  2. At 14:20, Israeli forces positioned in Silwan neighbourhood detained Fihmi Hilmi Al-Za’tari.
  3. At dawn on February 10th 2016, Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Laqman Atouf, Mus’ab Aliyan and Basil Tarshan {All residents of Sur Bahar neighbourhood}.
  4. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Mohammad Azmi Mateir and Naseem Yahya Mateir in Qalandiya camp.
  5. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Mohammad Hamdan and Baha Al-Basat in Al-Eizariya.
  6. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Rajab Nu’man Mateir and Ataf Mateir in Kafr Aqab
  7. Israeli forces detained Mohammad Hassan Wahish in Abu Dis.
Obstruction of Places of Worship
  • At 09:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers.
Closure of Wall Gates
  1. The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
  2. The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
  2. On December 15th 2015, Israeli forces closed the West entrance of Al-Labban Al-Gharbi village with cement blocks.
  3. On January 9th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Shuqba and Shabtin villages with cement blocks and installed a steel gate in the area.
Flying Checkpoints
  1. At 10:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Sinjil and Jilijliya village then searched residents and vehicles until 15:00.
  2. At 10:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Ein Sinya village roundabout located along the main road connecting Ramallah and Nablus then searched residents and vehicles until 13:00.
  3. At 14:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along At Tira and Beit ‘Ur al Faoqa village then impede the free flow of traffic.
  4. At 16:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint beneath Kharbatha al Misbah village bridge then searched residents and vehicles.
  5. At 16:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Beit ‘Ur al Faoqa and Beit ‘Ur al Tahta villages then impeded the free flow of traffic.
  6. At 17:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of An Nabi Salih village and prevented the free flow of traffic until 17:30.
Raid
  1. At dawn on February 9th 2016, Israeli forces raided Arura village and detained 3 residents.
  2. At dawn on February 9th 2016, Israeli forces raided Bil’in village and detained 2 residents.
  3. At 14:00 and again at 04:05, Israeli forces raided Al Bireh city, stormed and searched a home then withdrew at 04:20.
  4. At 01:05, Israeli forces raided Dura al Qar’a village and stormed 2 homes.
  5. At 01:55, Israeli forces raided Beit ‘Ur al Tahta village until 02:25.
Detention
  1. At 19:40, Israeli detained Amjad Ibrahim Saleem Aboud (A resident of Al-Bireh city) as he was reporting to Israeli Intelligence based on a prior summons.
  2. Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Hamada Salah Al-Aruri, Abdallah Taysir Al-Aruri and Salah Sabri Al-Aruri in Arura village.
  3. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Mohammad Adib Abu Rahma and Sharar Hassan Daoud Mansour in Bil’in village.

JENIN

Closure
  • On December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area  {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area  and declared the area a closed military zone.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints
  • At 13:05, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and impeded the free flow of traffic until 14:00.
Raid
  1. At 19:15, Israeli forces raided Shufa village and closed the main gate entrance located at the village entrance for alleged stoning by unknown individuals.
  2. At 00:10, Israeli forces raided Tulkarem and its camps, clashed with several residents as they stormed a home then withdrew at 05:25.
  3. At 02:30, Israeli forces raided Illar until 03:50.

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads
  1. In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
  2. Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate.
Flying Checkpoints
  1. At 09:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun the then searched residents and vehicles.
  2. At 20:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Azzun and Kafr Thulth then searched residents and vehicles until 01:25.
  3. At 00:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Ras ‘Atiya village then searched residents and vehicles until 02:30.
Raid
  • At 20:20, Israeli forces raided Kafr Thulth, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 01:25.
Settlers Violence
  • At 12:35, a group of Israeli settlers inside a bus stoned several residents located near several merchant shops located along the main road near An Nabi Iliyas village.
Closure of Wall Gates
  1. The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
  2. The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Closure
  • Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.
Closure of main Roads
  1. At 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
  2. On November 29th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Burin, Awarta and Osirin as well as the agricultural bypass road connecting Aqraba and Qabalan village with dirt mounds.
  3. At 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitzhar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.
  4. At 18:30 on January 19th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Huwara and Walada village with dirt mounds.
  5. At 09:00 on February 1st 2016, Israeli forces closed the steel gate {south} entrance of Jamma’in village and closed the main road connecting.
Military Checkpoints
  • At 08:10, Israeli forces closed Huwara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic for vehicles travelling from Nablus and redirected the flow of traffic towards Awarta village junction then reopened it at 09:00.
Flying Checkpoints
  1. At 17:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near “Yitzhar” settlement junction located in north Huwwara then searched residents and vehicles.
  2. At 19:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Furik then searched residents and vehicles until 00:30.
Raid
  1. At 12:00, Israeli forces raided Asira ash Shamaliya and summoned Issam Mohammad Musbah Abbas to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
  2. At 02:50, Israeli forces raided Nablus city until 05:00.
Temporary Detention
  • At 22:00, Israeli forces positioned at the entrance of Beit Furik temporarily detained 2 residents: Mohammad Salah Yusef Ishtewi and Mohammad Mahmoud Abdel-Qadder Ishtwi {both residents of Kafr Qaddum village in Qalqiliya} then released them at 00:25.
Destruction of Property
  • At 08:55, Israeli forces stormed Khirbet Tana village located in east Beit Furik and demolished 6 barracks {sheds} owned by : Majid Affif Hanni, Ibrahim Abdel-Qadder Hanni, Wasef Abu Al-Sa’ud Hanni, Raed Affif Aref Hanni, Mahmoud Ahmad Nassassrah and Radwan Qassim Khattatbah then temporarily seized a vehicle owned by Awwad Mahmoud Hanni as he was planting tree on agricultural land in the area then set up a checkpoint at the entrance of the village and prevented residents and journalists from entering and withdrew at 13:45.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
  2. Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.
Military Checkpoints
  • Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.
Raid
  1. At dawn on February 9th 2016, Israeli forces raided Iskaka village and summoned Hassan Talib Ali Harb to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
  2. At 01:00, Israeli forces raided Kafr Al-Dik then stormed and searched a home.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints
  • Israeli forces continue to intensify its restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District.
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 19:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Jericho then searched residents and vehicles until 19:55.
Raid
  1. At 11:00, Israeli forces raided the middle area of Fasayil village and proceeded to take population sample statistics and served military orders for the demolition of homes and love stock sheds to be implemented in 48 hours and ordered residents to leave the area then withdrew at 14:20.
  2. At 16:55, Israeli forces raided Al-Oja village, stormed several homes then installed a checkpoint and searched residents and vehicle then withdrew at 19:20.
  3. At 22:00, Israeli forces raided Fasayil village until 22:30.
  4. At 07:05, Israeli forces raided Al-Jiflik village and demolished 3 homes owned by Abdallah Khamirah, Qaddri Darwish and Salameh Salim Harizat and also demolished 2 barracks ( livestock sheds) owned by Awad Ali Badirat and Salah Salameh Ka’abneh.
Detention
  1. At 20:35, Israeli forces positioned at Allenby bridge detained Sufwan Nader Hilmi Hassouneh (A resident of Beit Immrin village in Nablus) as he was returning from Jordan.
  2. On February 8th 2016, Israeli forces positioned at Allenby bridge detained Hamza Abd Al-Jaleel Fo’ad Abu Khalaf (A resident of Hebron) as he was travelling to Jordan.

BETHLEHEM

Closure
  1. The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
  2. Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.
Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala  ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to  Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
  2. The Israeli army continues to close the road leading to “Newe Daniyyel” settlement and agricultural land in Al-Khader; a road between  Um Tuba and Wadi Al-Hums: Wadi Fukin, Al-Jaba, the Green Line; a road between Za’tara and a detour road, and a road between Taqou and Khirbet Al-Deir with cement blocks.
  3. Since August 2nd 2012, Israeli forces closed a road leading to Beit Jalla.
  4. Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.
  5. Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
Raid
  1. At 17:30, Israeli forces raided Nahilin village, stormed several homes, closed the entrances of the village with checkpoints thus preventing residents and vehicles from entering or exiting the village (for the alleged stabbing of a Israeli settler near “Neve Daniyyel” settlement located east of the village) and detained 5 residents.
  2. At 04:50, Israeli forces raided Ad Duheisha camp in Bethlehem, clashed with several residents as then stormed and searched several homes and detained 3 residents.
Attack
  1. At 15:30, Israeli forces positioned near the west entrance of Teqoa fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 7 residents:{those identified are  Jihad Daoud Al-Amouro and Ala Daoud Al-Amouro} and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
  2. At 16:35, Israeli forces positioned near Ayda camp located in north Bethlehem fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
Detention
  1. At 14:10, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Beit Fajjar detained the child: Ayed Fayez Mohammad Taqatqa (16 years old){A resident of Beit Fajjar}.
  2. Israeli forces detained 5 residents: Mohammad Rabbah Shaker Shakarneh, Mohammad Abd Shareef Fanoun, Ahmad Jawdat Najjajrah, Mahmoud Mohammad Najjajrah and Nathim Mahmoud Mohammad Najjajrah in Nahhalin village.
  3. Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Mohammad Ibrahim Hamdan Al-Zawahra, Ali Abdel-Hamid Ibrahim Al-Tus and Mahmoud Yacoub Mohammad Al-Sawiti in Ad Duheisha camp in Bethlehem.

HEBRON

Closure
  1. The Israeli army continues to close Al-Shuhada’ Street, Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
  2. Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.
Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
  2. The Israeli army continues to close all roads leading to Road # 60 as well as detour roads along the settler bypass road leading to Yatta town.
  3. The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds a detour road leading to e to Al-Simiya village, the southern entrance of Al-Samou’ and the entrance of Beit Annun with cement blocks.
  4. On December 9th 2015, Israeli forces closed a road near Jabal Jallis area located in the old city of Hebron and closed the bypass road.
Raid
  1. On February 9th 2016, Israeli forces raided Beit Ummar, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched a home and detained 3 residents.
  2. At 10:40, Israeli forces raided Hebron city until 13:40.
Attack
  • At 08:40, Israeli forces positioned in the south area of Hebron city fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
Detention
  1. On February 9th 2016, Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Anas Nimr Mujahid, Mahmoud Azam Al-Hadad and Hatem Mohammad Taha {All residents of Hebron city}.
  2. Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Rasheed Nasri Sabarneh, Rushdi Nasri Sabarneh and Yusef Nasri Sabarneh in Beit Ummar.
Settlers Violence

At 11:30, a group of Israeli settlers assaulted Khader Hamad Awad (60 years old) {A resident of Susiya village} as he was herding his goats in Sha’b Al-Batem area located in east Yatta  and as a result left him hospitalised with contusions.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

  • At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.
  • The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Central Gaza.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points
  • Beit Hanun (Erez) is open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businessperson and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points
  1. Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
  2. Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack
  • At 10:00, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in East Al-Buriej camp.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points
  1. Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
  2. Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed
  3. Sufa Crossing is closed
  4. Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is open for the entry of tourist and foreign diplomats and the entry of Humanitarian assistance and construction material funded by UNRWA.
