JERUSALEM

Closure
  • On February 6th 2016, the Israeli army, intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers under the age of 50 from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
  • The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
  • The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.
Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
  2. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint.

Military Checkpoints
  1. Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
  2. On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.

  • Israeli forces detained Jihad Hussein Abu Eid in Biddu.
Closure of Wall Gates
  • The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
  • The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

  • At 17:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Khirbithat Al-Misbah village then searched residents and vehicles until 21:40.

JENIN

  • At 08:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Faqou’a village then searched residents and vehicles.

  • Since 04:30 on February 4th 2016, Israeli forces are presents in Qabatiya during which they clashed with residents and as a result injured 2 residents: Jamal Al-Shati and Mohammad Abu Al-Rub.

  • The 2 resiednts injured in Qabatiya village are Jamal Al-Shati and Mohammad Abu Al-Rub.

QALQILIYA

  • At 12:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Jit village then searched residents and vehicles.
Closure of Roads
  1. In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
  2. Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate.
Closure of Wall Gates
  1. The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
  2. The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

 

  • At 12:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Furiq then searched residents and vehicles until 12:15.
Military Checkpoints
  • At 15:55, Israeli forces closed Huwara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic and then redirected traffic through Awarta village junction because of alleged maintenance work on the checkpoint site.

  • At 02:00, Israeli forces raided Assira Al-Shimaliya and summoned Isam Mohammad Othman to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 03:00.
Closure
  • Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.
Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close the roads of Til-Burin and Beit Furik-Salem; the settler bypass road connecting the village of Deir al Hatab to the settlement of Alon Moreh; the road connecting the town of ‘Aqraba to the village of Osrin; and the detour road between the town of Qabalan and the village of Osrin.
  • The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
  • At 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
  • On November 29th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Burin, Awarta and Osirin as well as the agricultural bypass road connecting Aqraba and Qabalan village with dirt mounds.
  • At 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.
  • At 18:30 on January 19th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Huwara and Walada village with dirt mounds.

SALFIT

Raid
  1. At 11:50, Israeli forces raided Salfit, stormed a gas station, confiscated surveillance camera footage and clashed with several children and as a result injured the child : Mohammad Abu Suliman (16 years old) then temporarily detained  2 residents and released them at 15:00.
  2. At 11:45, Israeli forces raided Bruqin village until 12:40.
  3. At 14:30, Israeli forces raided Iskaka and Yasuf village, stormed the local village councils in each village then confiscated surveillance camera footage from each village council and withdrew at 15:25.
  4. At 20:55, Israeli forces raided Iskaka village and detained 3 residents  then withdrew at 00:15.

  4. At 19:30, Israeli forces raided Taqou’, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 19:50.
  5. At 19:45, Israeli forces raided Al-Khader.
  6. At 03:25, Israeli forces raided Al-Duhisheh camp in Bethlehem, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes and summoned 2 residents: Ammar Sami Mahmoud Hajajrah and Nidal Mohammad Ibrahim Eid to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 05:45.

  2. Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.

The Israeli army continues to close the road leading to “Newe Daniyyel” settlement and agricultural land in Al-Khader; a road between  Um Tuba and Wadi Al-Hums: Wadi Fukin, Al-Jaba, the Green Line; a road between Za’tara and a detour road, and a road between Taqou and Khirbet Al-Deir with cement blocks.
  3. Since August 2nd 2012, Israeli forces closed a road leading to Beit Jalla.
  4. Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.
  5. Since June 3rd 2013, the Israeli army closed the road connecting Nihalin and road 60 with dirt mounds.
  6. Since 13:20 on September 29th 2013, the Israeli army closed a road leading to 50 acres of agricultural land in Wadi Salem area in Al-Khadr with dirt mounds.
  7.  Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Surif and Al-Jub’a village with dirt mounds.
  8. On January 28th 2014, Israeli forces closed the steel gate at the entrance of Nihalin { replacing the dirt mounds placed at the entrance since the year 2002} and placed time schedule for opening the gate from 06:00 until 14:00 on a daily bases.
  9. Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
  10. At 15:30 on November 20th 2015, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Jinata and the entrance of Marah Rabah village with dirt mounds.
  11. At 13:10 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Marah Rabah village with dirt mounds.
  12. At 18:00 on November 27th 2015, Israeli forces closed Bararat junction located in Ras area in Beit Jallah with cement blocks.
  13. At 14:50 on November 28th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Um Al-Raqaba area located in Al-Khader with cement blocks.
  14. At 13:45 on January 17th 2016, Israeli forces closed the south entrance of Nihalin village  with a steel gate.

  1. The Israeli army continues to close Al-Shuhada’ Street, Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
  2. Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.

  1. The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Al-Thahiriya and Al-Samoa’ towns, Al-‘Arrub refugee camp, and Al-Tuwani and Al-Karmil villages. 
  2. The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
  3. The Israeli army continues to close all roads leading to Road # 60 as well as detour roads along the settler bypass road leading to Yatta town.

  5. On December 9th 2015, Israeli forces closed a road near Jabal Jallis area  located in the  old city of Hebron and closed the bypass road.

ALL DISTRICTS

  • At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.
  • Israeli forces broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards  Gaza, and Central Gaza.
