WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 15:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Anata town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 16:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Biddu town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At dawn on August 17th 2017, Israeli forces raided Biddu town and detained a resident.

Detention

1. At dawn on August 17th 2017, Israeli forces detained the child Sa'ud Mahmoud Aliyan {17 year old} in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city.
2. At dawn on August 17th 2017, Israeli forces detained Ahmad Ibrahim Abu Teir {A resident of Kafr Aqab town}.
3. Israeli forces detained Ibrahim Abdel-Raheem Ayash in Biddu town.

Temporary Detention

1. At dawn on August 17th 2017, Israeli forces temporarily detained Sabrin Thiyab {A resident of Jerusalem city} then released her at a later time.
2. On August 17th 2017, Israeli Authorities sentenced Oday Samer Abu Taya {A resident of Silwan neighborhood} to 5 days of home detention as a term for his release after Israeli forces detained him at an earlier time.

Attack

At 22:30, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning in Silwan neighborhood of Jerusalem city.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

At 24:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Um Safa village then searched residents and vehicles until 01:30.

Raid

1. At 13:20, Israeli forces raided Um Safa village until 14:10.
2. At 19:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Bireh city and detained a resident.
3. At 02:00, Israeli forces raided Deir Nathim village until 03:00.
4. At 04:10, Israeli forces raided Ramallah city, stormed "Al-Merador" Hotel, detained 5 residents then withdrew at 05:00.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained Imad Shukri Anis Al-Malahi in Al-Bireh city.
2. Israeli forces detained 5 residents: Mohammad Salah, Mahmoud Farikh, Fadi Ghanam, Samah Masourah and Mohammad Issa in Ramallah city.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

At 10:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at An'za village junction, temporarily detained a resident then released him at 17:30.

Temporary Detention

At 10:40, Israeli forces positioned at Anza village junction temporarily detained Abdallah Fihmi Mohammad Sadaqa then released him at 17:30.

TUBAS

Military Checkpoints

At 18:30, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Tayassir Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

At 16:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Bardala village and detained a resident.

Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint near the entrance of Bardala village detained Radi Omar Salah Sawafta {A resident of Bardala village}.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 18:00, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at "Enav" Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 20:00.

Raid

1. At 07:40 on August 17th 2017, Israeli forces raided Kafr Sur village and detained a resident.
2. At 24:00, Israeli forces raided Baqa Al-Sharqiya town until 00:30.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Abdel-Salam Shafi' Zaki Zabadat in Kafr Sur village.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 08:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint beneath Azzun town bridge {located along the main road connecting Qalqilya and Tulkarem city} then searched residents and vehicles.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

At 19:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Yitzhar" settlement junction located in North Huwara town then searched residents and vehicles.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

At 14:00 and again at 19:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint beneath Iskaka village bridge then searched residents and vehicles.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 10:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Nashash area junction {located at the south entrance of Bethlehem city} then searched residents and vehicles until 12:30.
2. At 15:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Husan village then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 23:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Za'tara town then searched residents and vehicles until 00:20.
4. At 00:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Dar Salah village bridge {located at the east entrance of Beit Sahour city} then searched residents and vehicles until 01:00.

Raid

At 04:45, Israeli forces raided Bethlehem city and detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Majed Musa Mir'i Jaber in Bethlehem city.

Assault on Educational sector

On August 17th 2017, Israeli forces stormed Jib Al-Thib village located near Al-Faradis village and halted construction on a school despite having a valid constriction license.

HEBRON

Land Levelling

On August 17th 2017, Israeli forces stormed Um Al-Khier village located in east Yatta town and levelled several plots of land owned by Abu Hameed Familiy which is located near "Karma'il" settlement located in the east area.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 3rd 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip.

• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Khan Yunis district.

NORTHERN GAZA

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 08:00 on August 16th 2017, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit of the fourth group of 400 resiednts travelling to Saudi Arabia to perform the annual Pilgrimage {Hajj}.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.
