WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Raid

(i) At 15:30, Israeli forces raided the town of Hizma, searched several commercial stores and nurseries and questioned their owners.
(ii) At 02:20, Israeli forces raided the town of Al-Ram, clashed with civilians during search of a blacksmith and turnery workshops owned by civilian Mohammad Nayef Shawabkeh, and withdrew at 04:55.
(iii) At dawn on 3 August 2016, Israeli forces raided the village of Isawiyyeh and arrested 1 civilian.

Detention

(i) At 01:00, Israeli forces arrested in Silwan neighborhood in the city of Jerusalem a child called Mohammad Abu Hadwan, 14, after storming into his home.
(ii) The civilian arrested in Isawiyyeh village is Anas Mafarjeh.

Attack

• At 02:20, Israeli forces fired during raid on the town of Al-Ram stun grenades towards civilians for alleged stoning during search of a blacksmith and a workshops.

Physical Assault

• In the morning of 02 August 2016, Israeli forces attacked in Al-Aqsa Mosque compound civilian Majd Abdeen (Al-Aqsa Mosque guard) and injured him seriously.

Destruction of Property

• On 2 August 2016, Israeli forces damaged in the village of Sur Baher a car fair owned by Mohammad Ilayyan under the pretext of unlicensed construction.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

(i) At 09:00, a group of extremist settlers guarded by Israeli forces raided the compound of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In the morning of 2 August 2016, Israeli forces hampered maintenance work of water pipes in Al-Aqsa Mosque requesting the presence of personnel from the Israeli Department of Antiquities. But the Waqf Department refused the Israeli request.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 16:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of the village of Ein Areek and searched civilians and vehicles until 00:10 until 17:15.
(ii) At 18:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of the village of Um Safa and searched civilians and vehicles until 19:30.
(ii) At 19:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the bridge of the town of Atara and searched civilians and vehicles until 20:15.
(iii) At 22:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the town of Sinjil and arrested 1 civilian.

Raid

(i) At 01:00, Israeli forces raided the village of Ein Qinya and arrested 1 civilian.
(ii) At 01:50, Israeli forces raided the village of Kafr Nimeh, arrested 1 civilian and withdrew at 03:30.
(iii) At 02:00, Israeli forces raided the village of Rantis, clashed with civilians during house searched and withdrew at 02:50.
(iv) At dawn on 3 August 2016, Israeli forces raided the town of Beit Rima and arrested 1 civilian.

Detention

(i) The civilian arrested in Sinjil town is Mohammad Zuheir Mohammad Khalil, from the village of Jaljilya.
(ii) The civilian arrested in Ein Qinya village is Dirar Hatem Rashid Marouf.
(iii) The civilian arrested in Kafr Nimeh village is Ahmad Ali Abu Nasr.
(iv) The civilian arrested in Beit Rima town is Amro Hussein Rimawi.

Attack

At 02:00, Israeli forces fired during raid on the village of Rantis stun grenades and tear gas canisters towards civilians for alleged stoning during house search.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

At 14:45, Israeli forces set up a flying checkpoint near the village of Haddad Resort, arrested 1 civilian, physically assaulted him and caused him serious injury and confiscated 1 tractor.

Raid

(i) At 03:25, Israeli forces raided the town of Al-Yamun, arrested 1 civilian and withdrew at 05:50.
(ii) At 03:40, Israeli forces raided the town of Silat Al-Harithiyyeh, arrested 1 civilian and withdrew at 05:50.
(iii) At 03:45, Israeli forces raided the town of Qabatia, arrested 1 military officer from the Civil defense and withdrew at 04:20.
(iv) At 05:20, Israeli forces raided the village of Bir Basha, stormed into 1 civilian home and withdrew at 05:45.

Detention

(i) The civilian arrested in Jenin near Haddad resort is Amro Hamzeh Kamil from Qabatia.
(ii) The civilian arrested in Al-Yamun is Salaheddin Sleiman Khalil Hoshiyyeh.
(iii) The civilian arrested in Silet Al-Harithiyyeh is Youssef Abdelmalilk Youssef Sa’di.
(iv) The civilian arrested in Qabatia town is military officer Iyad Abdelrahman Sleiman Abu Al-Rubb.

Injuries

The civilian injured by Israeli forces near Haddad Resort in Jenin is Amro Hamzeh Kamil from Qabatia.

Confiscation of Property

At 14:45, Israeli forces confiscated at a flying checkpoint near Haddad resort in Jenin a tractor owned by Amro Hamzeh Kamil from Qabatia.

TUBAS

Raid

(i) On 2 August 2016, Israeli forces raided the village of Ein Al-Beda, stormed into and searched 10 civilian homes.
(ii) At dawn on 3 August 2016, Israeli forces raided Al-Fara refugee camp, clashed with civilians resulting in the injury of 2 civilians and arrested 1 civilian.

Detention

• The civilian arrested in Al-Fara refugee camp is Bara Saleh Al-Nabrisi.

Attack

• At dawn on 3 August 2016, Israeli forces fired during raid on Al-Fara refugee camp live bullets and rubber coated steel bullets, stun grenades and tear gas canisters towards civilians for alleged stoning, resulting in the injuring 2 civilians.

Injuries

• The 2 civilians injured in Al-Fara refugee camp are Hamzeh Mousa Ilayat and Sleiman Bassem Shaweesh.

Physical Assault

On 1 August 2016, Israeli forces assaulted in Khilet Ijmeh area civilian Hisham Jamal Sbeih from Tayaseer village.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

• At 06:10 on 02 August 2016, Israeli forces intensified restrictions at Einav checkpoint and impeded traffic until 07:10.

Raid

• At 23:45, Israeli forces raided Faroun village, stormed into 1 civilian home and physically assaulted civilian Majed Ahmad Abdel Qader Obeid, seriously injuring him, and detained 4 civilians and released the at a later time, and then withdrew at 03:20.

Temporary Detention

(i) At 19:25, Israeli forces detained at the military liaison office west of Tulkarem city female civilian Wafiqa Daoud Obeid from Faroun village while reporting to the military intelligence in order to put pressure on her son Malik Ahmad Abdel Qader Obeid and hand in himself. The woman was released at a later time.
(ii) At 23:45, Israeli forces detained 4 civilians during raid on Faroun village and released them at a later time after field investigation. The civilians are Mohammad Abdel Qader Obeid, Majdi Ahmad Obeid, Qatibeh Majid Ahmad Obeid and Maha Ahmad Abdel Qader Obeid.

Physical Assault

At 23:45, Israeli forces assaulted during raid on Faourn village civilian Majid Ahmad Abdel Qader Obeid and injured him seriously.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

• At 21:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Izbet Jaloud village and detained 1 civilian but released him at a later time.

Raid

(i) At 20:00, Israeli forces raided the village of Nabi Mousa and stormed into and searched a car repair workshop.
(ii) At00:30, Israeli forces raided the village of Hijjeh, clashed with civilians \during storming the civilian home of the martyr Bashar Masalha’s family, resulting in the injury of several civilians.
(iii) At 01:05, Israeli forces raided and patrolled the town of Azun.
(iv) At 01:30, Israeli forces raided the town of Kafr Thulth, stormed into 1 civilian home, physically assaulted ciilian Zuheir Odeh Barakat and withdrew at 02:30.

Attack

• At 00:30, Israeli forces fired during raid on the village of Hijjeh stun grenades and tear gas canisters towards civilians during search of the civilian home of the martyr Bashar Masalha’s family, injuring several civilians as a result of gas inhalation.

Injuries

• At 01:30, civilian Zuheir Odeh Barakat was injured as a result of assault by Israeli forces during raid on his home in the town of Kafr Thulth.

Temporary Detention

At 21:30, Israeli forces detained at a flying checkpoint set up at the entrance of Izbet Jaloud village civilian Ali Qizmar and released home at a later time.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

• At 00:15, Israeli forces closed Huwara checkpoint and impeded flow of traffic. At 20:30, Israeli forces closed the checkpoint for alleged stoning and reopened at a later time.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At dawn on 2 August 2016, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the junction of Shave Shomron settlement and arrested 1 civilian.
(ii) At 10:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the junction of Deir Sharaf village (Nablus-Tulkarem main road) and searched civilians and vehicles until 11:20.
(iii) At 11:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the junction of Beita town and searched civilians and vehicles until 12:30.
(iv) At 23:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the junction of Beita town and searched civilians and vehicles until 23:45.

Raid

(i) At 23:15, Israeli forces raided the town of Beita, clashed with civilians during patrol and withdrew at 23:45.
(ii) At 02:20, Israeli forces raided the village of Tel, arrested 1 civilian and withdrew at 04:30.

Detention

(i) The civilian arrested near the junction of Shave Shomron settlement is Mutasem Mahmoud Zakarneh from Qabatia.
(ii) The civilian arrested in Tel village is Abdelrahman Abdelfattah Asideh.

Attack

At 23:15, Israeli forces fired during raid on the town of Beita stun grenades, rubber coated steel bullets and tear gas canisters towards civilians for alleged stoning during patrol.

SALFIT

Military Checkpoints

• At 22:55, Israeli forces intensified restrictions at Zaatara checkpoint and impeded flow of traffic. At 00:15, Israeli forces closed the checkpoint before passengers leave Nablus (for alleged stoning) and reopened it at a later time.

Raid

(i) At 11:20, Israeli forces raided the town of Qarawa Bani Hassan and stormed into and searched several civilian homes.
(ii) At 20:15, Israeli forces raided and patrolled the town of Al-Zawiye.

Settlers Attacks

At 07:30, on 2 July 2016, a group of settlers raided the town of Kafl Hares during a visit to a Jewish holy shrine. Israeli forces interfered and evacuated the settlers.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the north entrance of the city of Jericho and searched civilians and vehicles until 19:00.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

• At 20:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of the town of Jenata and searched civilians and vehicles until 22:00.

Raid

• At 01:40, Israeli forces raided the city of Beit Jala and patrolled it until 02:40.

Detention

On 31 July 2016, Israeli forces arrested in the village of Deir Salah 2 civilians from Obaidiyyeh town. The civilians are Younis Mufdi Mohammad Sbeih and Iyad Ahmad Khalil Rabayah.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 14:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Simya village and searched civilians and vehicles.
(ii) At 14:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of al-Fahs area south of the city of Hebron and searched civilians and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At 01:30, Israeli forces raided the town of Halhul and clashed with civilians during patrol.
(ii) At 01:30, Israeli forces raided the town of Edna and patrolled it until 06:50.
(iii) At 01:30, Israeli forces raided and patrolled the town of Dura.
(iv) At 02:40, Israeli forces raided the town of Sair and patrolled it until 05:20.
(v) At dawn on 03 August 2016, Israeli forces raided the town of Surif and arrested the head of the Village Council.
(vi) At dawn on 03 August 2016, Israeli forces raided the city of Hebron and arrested 1 civilian.
(vii) At dawn on 03 August 2016, Israeli forces raided the town of Beit Ummar and arrested 1 child.

Detention

(i) At 02:00 on 02 August 2016, Israeli forces arrested during raid on Sammou town (as mentioned in the last report) civilian Mohammad Atta Salameh Daghameen.
(ii) At 05:30 on 02 August 2016, Israeli forces arrested during raid on Surif town (as mentioned in the last report) civilian Mohammad Abdel Hadi Al-Hoor.
(iii) The civilian arrested in Surif is Mohammad Lafi – Head of Surif Village Council.
(iv) The civilian arrested in the city of Hebron is Hamzeh Fayyad al-Atrash.
(v) The civilian arrested in the town of Beit Ummar is Hamzeh Imad Badr Ikhlil, 16.

Attack

At 01:30, Israeli forces fired during raid on Halhul town stun grenades, rubber coated bullets and gas canisters towards civilians for alleged stoning.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area from 300 to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month. On 3 April 2016 the decision to expand the fishing area from 6 to 9 nautical miles entered into effect but the Israeli authorities reduced the area back to 6 nautical miles on 26 June 2016.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

Beit Hanun (Erez) is partially open for humanitarian cases, international journalists, employees working for humanitarian agencies, businessmen and passengers traveling though Al-Karama Crossing.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
(ii) Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
(ii) Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
(iii) Sufa Crossing is closed
(iv) Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.
