WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

Closure

• At 24:00 on April 8th 2019, The Israeli occupation forces imposed total closure on the West Bank and Gaza Strip on the occasion of the Israeli Knesset elections and prevented citizens and workers, including permit holders, from entering Jerusalem and Israel, except for humanitarian cases, prior coordination, UN staff and diplomatic missions until 24:00 on April 9th 2019.

JERUSALEM

Detention

1. At dawn on April 8th 2019, Israeli forces detained Mohammad Mazen Al-Hilwani in Wadi Al-Juz neighborhood in Jerusalem city.
2. At 11:30, Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Aboud Abu Sabeeh, Ibrahim al-Zaytawi and Yasser Najib in Jerusalem city.

Deportation

On April 8th 2019, Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city issued a order banning 4 children: {all are residents of Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city} from their places of residence for a period of 1 month and placed them under home detention for a period of 1 week and also fined them 5000 NIS each as a condition for their release after being detained at an earlier time.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 10:30, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Military Checkpoints

On April 8th 2019, , the Israeli occupation forces reopened Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Beit El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city for all civilians for 24 hours daily except for Saturdays during which the checkpoint will be open from 22:00 until 10:00 on Sunday.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Wadi Al-Dalab area located near Ras Kar Kar village then searched residents and vehicles until 11:30.
2. At 19:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village then searched residents and vehicles until 02:30.
3. At 23:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint beneath Khirbithat Al-Misbah village bridge then searched residents and vehicles until 02:30.

Raid

At 09:55, Israeli forces raided Beit Sira village, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 11:00.

JENIN

Raid

At dawn on April 9th 2019, Israeli forces raided Ya'bad town and detained a child.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Zied Ahmad Ba'jawi {14 years old} in Ya'bad town.

TUBAS

Land Confiscation

1. On March 24th 2019, Israeli military Forces issued the military order 19\03\H for the confiscation of 283.185 dunums {acres} of agricultural land in the city of Tubas for military purpose .
2. On April 4th 2019, Israeli military Forces issued an amendment for the military order 99\11\C considering the closure of an area of 101.307 dunums {acres} of agricultural land in the city of Tubas, Tamoun, and the village of Tayasser, citizens are not allowed to enter the area without a previous permits from the Israeli military forces .

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Izbit Al-Tabib village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 20:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Hablat tunnel {located at the south entrance of Qalqiliya city} then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 01:30, Israeli forces raided Azzun town, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched a home and as a result injured a resident then withdrew at 03:30.
2. At 02:30, Israeli forces raided Qalqiliya city until 03:30.

Attack

1. At 18:30, Israeli forces positioned at the wall gate in Jayyaous town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 01:30, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets,stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched a home during their raid into Azzun town and as a result injured a resident.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured a unidentified resident during clashes in Azzun town.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

At 17:25,Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Beit Furiq military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 17:40.

Detention

1. On April 6th 2019, Israeli forces detained Fathallah Affif Kayed Bani Jama' {a resident of Aqraba town}.
2. On April 8th 2019, Israeli forces detained Bara Abdel-Nassar Badawi {a high school student}{a resident of Qaryout village} as he was reporting to Israeli Intellegnce for questioning based on a prior summon.

Land Confiscation

On April 3rd 2019, The Israeli military issued order number H/02/19 for the confiscation of 406 dunums of agricultural land in Huwara and Beita towns, Burin, Awarta, Yatma and Al-Sawiya villages in Nablus district and Yasuf village in Salfit district for the propose of paving a road to replace then main road which enters through Huwara town.

SALFIT

Military Checkpoints

At 16:55,Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za'tara military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 17:40.

Detention

At 16:55, Israeli forces positioned at Za'tara junction checkpoint detained Abdel-Azziz Bassam Abu Obied {a resident of Jenin city}.

BETHLEHEM

Raid

1. At 09:45, Israeli forces raided Al-Shuwarat village, stormed the home of Adnan Mohammaf Al-Shuwarat and confiscated 17000 NIS and 300 USD.
2. At 22:45, Israeli forces raided Al-Jub'a village then stormed 2 homes.

Confiscation of Property

At 09:45, Israeli forces confiscated 17000 NIS and 300 USD from the home of Adnan Mohammaf Al-Shuwarat during their raid into Al-Shuwarat village.

Assaults on Property

On April 8th 2019, Israeli forces stormed Beitar village and served military orders to several residents to evacuate Al-Khamar area located north of the village claiming that the area is a closed military area and gave them 30 days to remove their belongings from the area.

Settlers Attacks

At 13:10, a Israeli settler's vehicle travelling along road (60) near the entrance of "Navi Danail" settlement ran over Hamza Shihada Mahmoud Ahmad Najajrat {a resident of Nihalin town} and as a result left him hospitalized with fractures and contusions.

Injuries

Hamza Shihada Mahmoud Ahmad Najajrat {a resident of Nihalin town} was hospitalized with fractures and contusions after a Israeli settler's vehicle travelling along road (60) near the entrance of "Navi Danail" settlement ran him over .

HEBRON

Raid

1. At 11:10, Israeli forces raided Bani Na'im town and detained a resident.
2. At 03:55, Israeli forces raided Hebron city and detained 4 residents.
3. At dawn on April 9th 2019, Israeli forces raided Beit Awwa and Al-Samou' towns.

Detention

1. At 15:10, Israeli forces detained the child Mohammad Bassam Hijazi {a resident of Sa'ir town}.
2. Israeli forces detained Nihad Musa Abdel-Ra'ouf Manasra {a resident of Hebron city} in Bani Na'im town.
3. Israeli forces detained 4 residents: Izz al-Din Mustafa Abu Hussein, Anas Hatem Qafisha, Omar Abdul Raouf Abu Sneineh, and Anas Salhab Tamimi in Hebron city.

Attack

On April 8th 2019, Israeli forces positioned in the old city of Hebron fired stun and tear gas canister towards several school children in Al-Nahda secondary school and as a result left several students ,Majed Al-Jamal {a teacher} and Shaker Al-Tasher {a school janitor} suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Assaults on Property

On April 8th 2019, Israeli forces stormed Khilat Um Al-Amad area located in west Yatta town and prevented construction workers from paving a road leading to agricultural land located south of "Otniel" settlement.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• • Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah and on July 17th 2018, Israeli forces reduced the fishing area from 6 nautical miles to 3 nautical miles, On August 15th 2018, Israeli forces increased the fishing area from 3 nautical miles up to 9 nautical miles from the coast of Al-Badeir area located in Central Gaza up to Rafah district located South of the Gaza strip and on October 6th 2018, Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit to 3 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip coasts and on October 23rd 2018 increased the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip and on April 1st 2019 allowed the increase of fishing area from Al-Waha area which is located northwest o Beit Lahiya town in the northern Gaza Strip and up to the port of Gaza to 6 nautical miles , increase from the port of Gaza and toWadi Gaza to 12 nautical miles, Gaza and up to Khan Yunis beach to 15 nautical miles, and from Khan Yunis beach and south of Rafah beach to 12 nautical miles.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza district.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of the districts of North Gaza, and Khanyunis .
• Israeli Air force broke the ceasefire agreement by launching 1 missiles towards Central Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Raid

On the morning of April 8th 2019, Israeli forces escorting Military bulldozers stormed 50 m into the vicinity of North west Beit Lahiya town and opened fire as they leveled a plot of land.

Attack

1. At 07:40 on April 8th 2019, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town.
2. At 09:30 on April 8th, 2019, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Air Strike

On the evening of April 8th 2019, Israeli Military aircraft's launched missiles towards a empty plot of land in east Al-Buriej camp.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 21:45 on April 8th, 2019 , Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of the city of Khanyunis.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit and entry of residents.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entrance of Humanitarian aid, limited supplies of Diesel fuel and construction material for Internationally funded projects.
