WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure of District

(i) On April 11th2016, the Israeli army, intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
(iii) The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.

Closure of Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint.

Military Checkpoints

(i) Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
(ii) On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.

Raid

At 01:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Ram town, stormed and searched a home and a Office then withdrew at 02:30.

Detention

At 00:10, Israeli forces detained Yasser Najeeb (A resident of the old city of Jerusalem).

Attack

At 15:10, Israeli forces positioned at the entrance of Shu’fat camp fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Assaults on Property

On April 11th 2016, Israeli forces broke down the main entrance doors as they stormed the home of Abed Mahmoud Dwikat.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 08:30, Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
(ii) At 24:00 on February 14th 2016, closed the main road near the entrance of “Bet El” settlement which leads to Al-Jalazoun camp with cement blocks for alleged gunfire.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At18:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Nabi Saleh village then searched residents and vehicles until 22:10.
(ii) At 19:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Shuqba village then searched residents and vehicles until 22:10.
(iii) At 21:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Khirbithat Al-Misbah village then searched residents and vehicles until 00:30.
(iv) At 07:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Ein Arik village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At 22:40, Israeli forces raided Sinjil town and Jilijliya village until 00:45.
(ii) At 02:50, Israeli forces raided Al-Bireh city, stormed and searched a home then withdrew at 05:00.

Detention

At 11:35, Israeli forces detained Muhanad Farah Saleh Al-Barghouthi (A National Security Force officer) {A resident of Beit Rima village}.

JENIN

Closure of District

On December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area and declared the area a closed military zone.

Closure of main Roads

The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan.

Raid

At dawn on April 12th 2016, Israeli forces raided Jenin city and detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Omar Hatem Assad in Jenin city.

Closure of Wall Gates

Israeli forces continue to close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it.

TUBAS

Closure of Roads

At 12:30 on March 15th 2016, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Al-Aqaba village with cement blocks.

Raid

At 09:25, Israeli forces raided Einoun area in east Tubas city.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 16:15 and again at 21:15, Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and impeded the free flow of traffic until 22:20.

Flying Checkpoints

At 23:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along Al-Kafriyat road which connects Tulkarem and Qalqiliya then searched residents and vehicles until 24:00.

Raid

(i) At 01:05, Israeli forces raided Shwikiya neighbourhood in Tulkarem city, stormed and searched a home and detained a resident.
(ii) At 02:00, Israeli forces raided Tulkarem city, stormed and searched several homes, detained 2 residents, confiscated a motor cycle then withdrew at 04:55.

Confiscation of Property

Detention

(i) Israeli forces detained Ayman Mahmoud Mustafa Tu’ma in Shweikiya neighbourhood in Tulkarem city.
(ii) Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Murad Issa Daghash and Baha Anwar Daghash in Tulkarem city.

QALQILIYA

Closure of main Roads

(i) Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
(ii) In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
(iii) Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 17:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Jit village junction then searched residents and vehicles until 18:15.
(ii) At 20:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the entrance of Kafr Qaddum village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At 10:20, Israeli forces raided Jit village.
(ii) At 11:20, Israeli forces raided Immatin village, stormed several merchant shops, inspected surveillance camera footage then withdrew at 12:20.
(iii) At 21:55, Israeli forces raided Sinariya village, stormed and searched 3 homes then withdrew at 03:30.
(iv) At 02:25, Israeli forces raided Azzun town, stormed and searched a home then withdrew at 03:30.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
(ii) The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Closure of District

Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
(ii) Since 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.
(iv) Since 18:30 on January 19th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Huwara and Walada village with dirt mounds.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 18:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near “Yitzhar” settlement junction located in North Huwara and impeded the free flow of traffic until 19:45.
(ii) At 18:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Qabalan town then searched residents and vehicles until 19:15.

Detention

At 20:30, Israeli forces positioned along the bypass road connecting “Yitshar” settlement located in North Huwara which leads to Jit village in Qalqiliya district detained Hazim Imad Husni Nassar (A resident of Shweikiya neighbourhood in Tulkarem district).

Destruction of Property

At 07:00, Israeli forces demolished a children’s playground in Za’tara village.

Settlers Violence

At 10:00, a group of Israeli settlers stormed land in Al-Yanoun village then withdrew under the protection of Israeli forces at 11:10.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads

.(i) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
(ii) Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Raid

(i) At 13:10, Israeli forces raided Bidya town.
(ii) At 01:45, Israeli forces raided Al-Zawiya town and detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Abdallah Rashid Aliyan Muqadi in Al-Zawiya town.

Temporary Detention

At 22:15, Israeli forces positioned at Za’tara checkpoint detained 3 residents: Hamad Ghassan Hashash, Jum’a Khalil Abed and Nasser Husam Hashash {All residents of Balata camp in Nablus}.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces continue to intensify its restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District.

BETHLEHEM

Closure of District

(i) The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
(ii) Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.

Closure of Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
(ii) Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.
(iv) At 09:15 on February 16th 2016, Israeli forces closed the bypass road connecting Za’tara and Ush Al-Ghurab area located in east Beit Sahur town with dirt mounds.
(v) On February 25th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main entrance gate leading to Um Al-Rakaba area in Al-Khader.
(vi) At 22:40 on March 17th 2016, Israeli forces closed all entrances of Beit Fajjar town and prevented residents from entering or exiting the town.
(vii) At 12:25 on March 18th 2016, Israeli forces closed the north entrance of Marah Rabah village which leads to Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.

Raid

(i) At 13:05, Israeli forces raided Husan village until 13:40.
(ii) At 02:00, Israeli forces raided Beit Fajjar town, stormed and searched several homes and detained 3 residents including a child then withdrew at 04:00.
(iii) At 05:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Walja village, demolished 3 homes owned by Maher Mahmoud Abu Khirat, Obieda Al-Muh’tasib and Issa Mohammad Al-Quntar.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Issam Abdallah Taqatqa (17 years old), Adel Ahmad Mahmoud Dariyah and Osama Ibrahim Dariya in Beit Fajjar town.

Attack

At 19:50, Israeli forces positioned near the West entrance of Taqou’ town fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

HEBRON

Closure of District

(i) The Israeli army continues to close Al-Shuhada’ Street, Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
(ii) Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.

Closure of Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the bypass road connecting Bani Na’im and Zif village junction with dirt mounds.
(iii) The Israeli Army continues to close the entrance of Beit Ummar (located near the local Cemetery) with dirt mounds.

Flying Checkpoints

At 11:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Fuwar camp, prevented residents from entering or exiting the camp after closing the steel gate entrance then reopened it at 17:30.

Raid

(i) At 10:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Thahriya town until 12:10.
(ii) At dawn on April 12th 2016, Israeli forces raided Hebron city, detained a resident after storming and searching his home.

Detention

(i) At 14:30, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Ibrahimi mosque in the old city of Hebron detained Alaa Abdel-Ghaffer Idris (A resident of Hebron).
(ii) Israeli forces detained Munjid Akram Al-Rajabi in Hebron city.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.

• Israeli forces broke the ceasefire agreement by raiding Khan Yunis District.
• Israeli forces broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza, Gaza, Khan Yunis and Rafah and as a result injured a child.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

Beit Hanun (Erez) is open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

At 14:50, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in North Beit Hanun town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
(ii) Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

(i) At 11:00, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land located in south west Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing in south east Gaza city.
(ii) At 17:15, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land located in east Jahir Al-Dik town located in south east Gaza city and as a result injured the child Ammar Al-Tarrabin (13 years old).

Injuries

Israeli fire injured the child Ammar Al-Tarrabin (13 years old).

KHAN YUNIS

Raid

At 06:30 on April 12th 2016, Israeli forces escorting several military bulldozers raided 100m in to the vicinity of east Al-Qarrara town and opened fire towards agricultural land as they levelled a plot of land.

Attack

(i) At 09:00, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Farahin area.
(ii) At 11:00, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Fakhari town.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
(ii) Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed
(iii) Sufa Crossing is closed
(iv) Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is open for the entry Humanitarian assistance

Attack

At 08:40, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in North east Rafah city.
