Daily Report April 10th 2016

(i) On April 9th2016, the Israeli army, intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
(iii) The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint.

(i) Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
(ii) On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.

(i) On April 8th 2016, Israeli forces detained Oday Amran Obied (A resident of Al-Eisawiya village) as he was reporting to Israeli Intelligence for questioning based on a prior summon.
(ii) On April 8th 2016, Israeli forces positioned near one of the main gate entrances leading to Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem. detained 2 residents: Akram Al-Ghazawi and Samah Al-Ghazawi.
(iii) On April 8th 2016, Israeli forces detained Mohammad Jamous (A resident of Abu Dis town) as he was reporting to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
(iv) At 08:00, Israeli forces positioned near one of the main gate entrances leading to Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem detained Islam Al-Bashiti (A resident of Jerusalem city).
(v) At 09:00, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Amjad Abu Sbieh and Mohammad Al-Shalabi {both residents of Jerusalem}.

At 08:30, Israeli forces positioned near Bab Hata gate {a main gate entrance leafing to Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem assaulted Firas Jarjour (A resident of Jerusalem city).

At 20:50, Israeli forces positioned at the entrance of Qalandiya village fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
(ii) At 24:00 on February 14th 2016, closed the main road near the entrance of “Bet El” settlement which leads to Al-Jalazoun camp with cement blocks for alleged gunfire.

(i) At 14:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Atarah town bridge then searched residents and vehicles until 15:30.
(ii) At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Budrous and Qubiya villages then searched residents and vehicles until 19:30.
(iii) At 20:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Nabi Saleh village then searched residents and vehicles.

(i) At 14:20, Israeli forces raided Bir Ziet town until 15:30.
(ii) At 00:30, Israeli forces raided Bil’in village, stormed 2 homes and summoned Nafez Abdel-Kareem to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 03:25.
(iii) At 05:00, Israeli forces raided Silwad town and detained 2 residents.

On December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area and declared the area a closed military zone.

The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan.

On the morning of April 9th 2016, Israeli forces positioned at a checkpoint in Ramallah city detained Nidal Yusef Sabihat (A resident of Rumana village).

At 12:30 on March 15th 2016, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Al-Aqaba village with cement blocks.

Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and impeded the free flow of traffic.

At 17:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Quffin town then searched residents and vehicles.

(i) At 00:10, Israeli forces raided Tulkarem city , Tulkarem camp , Nur Al-Shams camp and Faroun village until 02:10.
(ii) At 01:40, Israeli forces raided Anabta town until 02:10.

(i) Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
(ii) In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
(iii) Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate

(i) At 10:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Izbit Al-Tabib village then searched residents and vehicles.
(ii) At 12:00 and again at 18:25 , Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya then searched residents and vehicles.
(iii) At 15:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Azzun and Kafr Thulth town then searched residents and vehicles until16:30.
(iv) At 16:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Hajja village then searched residents and vehicles.
(v) At 19:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Jit village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
(ii) Since 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.
(iv) Since 18:30 on January 19th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Huwara and Walada village with dirt mounds.

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
(ii) Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.

Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

At 20:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Kafr Al-Dik town then searched residents and vehicles.

At 02:15, Israeli forces raided Al-Zawiya town, stormed several homes, detained a resident then withdrew at 05:00.

Israeli forces detained Mu’taz Nabeel Mutliq Shaqour in Al-Zawiya town.

Israeli forces continue to intensify its restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District.

At 08:00, Israeli forces positioned at Al-Karama {Allenby} bridge detained Zakariya Abdel-Qadder Assad Suwadin (A resident of Azzun town in Qalqiliya district) as he was returning from Jordan.

(i) The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
(ii) Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
(ii) Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.
(iv) At 09:15 on February 16th 2016, Israeli forces closed the bypass road connecting Za’tara and Ush Al-Ghurab area located in east Beit Sahur town with dirt mounds.
(v) On February 25th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main entrance gate leading to Um Al-Rakaba area in Al-Khader.
(vi) At 22:40 on March 17th 2016, Israeli forces closed all entrances of Beit Fajjar town and prevented residents from entering or exiting the town.
(vii) At 12:25 on March 18th 2016, Israeli forces closed the north entrance of Marah Rabah village which leads to Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.

(i) The Israeli army continues to close Al-Shuhada’ Street, Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
(ii) Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.

(i) The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the bypass road connecting Bani Na’im and Zif village junction with dirt mounds.
(iii) The Israeli Army continues to close the entrance of Beit Ummar (located near the local Cemetery) with dirt mounds.

(i) At 23:40, Israeli forces raided Hebron city, summoned 2 residents: Kamal Yahya Al-Ja’bari and Osama Lut Idris then withdrew at 01:15.
(ii) At 00:20, Israeli forces raided Yatta town, summoned Ismail Abu Fannar to report to Israeli intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 04:15.
(iii) At 01:30, Israeli forces raided Khursa village then stormed and searched a home.

Beit Hanun (Erez) is closed.

(i) Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
(ii) Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed
(iii) Sufa Crossing is closed
(iv) Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed.
