WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure
  • On April 3rd 2016, the Israeli army, intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers under the age of 50 from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
  • The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
  • The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.
Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
  • The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint. 
Military Checkpoints
  • Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
  • On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 10:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Eizariya town located near “Malee Adumim” settlement junction then searched residents and vehicles.
Raid
  • On the evening of April 4th 2016, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village, clashed with several residents and as a result injuring the child: Yazen Khaled An’aji (12 years old) leaving him hospitalised with a head injury and again at dawn on April 5th 2016 stormed the area and detained 2 residents.
  • At 01:20, Israeli forces raided Hizma village and detained 5 residents.
  • At 02:40, Israeli forces raided Abu Dis town, stormed 2 homes, detained a Preventive Security Force officer, stormed Al-Quds University Campus and damaged several office equipment as they searched the Student Union offices
Detention
  • At 15:35, Israeli forces detained Husam Taysir Mohammad Khalil Harizat (A resident of Yatta town in Hebron) in Jerusalem for allegedly finding a knife in his possession.
  • On April 4th 2016, Israeli forces positioned in Al-Sunah neighbourhood in Jerusalem detained Samir Al-Alami after storming and searching his home and confiscated a “IPAD” (tablet computers), a cellular telephone, document files and a financial amount of 5000 NIS.
  • At dawn on April 5th 2016, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Eyad Atta Eiwisat and Ahmad Azzi Awisat in Jabal Al-Mukabir neighbourhood in Jerusalem city.
  • At dawn on April 5th 2016, Israeli forces detained Abdallah Bader Abu Assab in the old city of Jerusalem.
  • Israeli forces detained Abdel-Qadder Dari and Mohammad Abu Raya in Al-Eissawiya village.
  • Israeli forces positioned in Hizma village detained 5 residents: Sufiyan Kan’an, Odah Abdallah Odah, Adel Khader Jum’a, Abed Firas Majede Salah Al-Din and Abed Rabbo Ziyad Odah Kan’an.
  • Israeli forces detained Ahmad Jamil Dandan.
House Demolition
  • At 15:30, Israeli forces stormed Jabal Al-Mukabbir neighbourhood and demolished a home owned by Abdel-Basset Abu Irmeleh for allegedly being built without a licence.
Obstruction of Places of Worship
  • At 11:00, Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers.
Closure of Wall Gates
  • The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
  • The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
  • Since 24:00 on February 14th 2016, closed the main road near the entrance of “Bet El” settlement which leads to Al-Jalazoun camp with cement blocks for alleged gunfire.
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 13:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Dibwan town then searched residents and vehicles until 15:35.
  • At 15:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Um Safa village then searched residents and vehicles until 16:40.
  • At 15:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Atarah bridge then searched residents and vehicles until 16:40.
Raid
  • At dawn on April 4th 2016, Israeli forces raided Beituniya town and detained a resident.
  • At 02:05, Israeli forces raided Beit Rima town, detained a resident then withdrew at 06:25.
  • At 03:30, Israeli forces raided Bir Ziet town, detained a resident then withdrew at 06:25.
  • At 03:35, Israeli forces raided Ramallah & Al-Bireh cities and Al-Amari camp , clashed with several residents then withdrew at 06:25.
Detention
  • Israeli forces detained Mohammad Ayoub Ali Attiya in Beituniya town.
  • Israeli forces detained Tamer Khalil Safi Shawar in Beit Rimma town.
  • Israeli forces detained Ghassan Fayez Nimer in Bir Ziet town.

JENIN

Closure
  • On December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area  {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area  and declared the area a closed military zone.
Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan and the south entrance of Ya’bad.
Raid
  • At 18:40, Israeli forces raided Beit Qad village, set up a checkpoint along the main road, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 20:30.
  • At 01:20, Israeli forces raided Ja’ba town, clashed with several residents as they stormed a home, detained a resident then withdrew at 20:45
Detention
  • Israeli forces detained Nazih Sa’id Abdel-Qadder Abu O’n in Jaba’ town.
Settlers Violence
  • At 18:00, a group of Israeli settlers stormed the area of “Homish” settlement (which was previously abandoned) and opened fire towards several Sheppard’s who were herding their sheep in the area.
Closure of Wall Gates
  • Israeli forces continue too close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it.

TUBAS

Closure of Roads
  • Since March 15th 2016, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Aqaba village with cement blocks.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints
  • At 16:50 and again at 21:05, Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and impeded the free flow of traffic until 23:05.
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 20:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Baqa Al-Sharqiya and Allar town junctions then searched residents and vehicles until 21:40.
Raid
  • At 01:30, Israeli forces raided Tulkarem town and Ein Al-Shams camp, clashed with several residents as they stormed several homes, detained a resident in Tulkarem camp and confiscated a vehicle then withdrew at 05:30.
Detention
  • Israeli forces detained Adnan Khader Al-Husari in Tulkarem camp.

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads
  • Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
  • In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
  • Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate.
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 20:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Jit village and impeded the free flow of traffic until 22:40.
Raid
  • At 00:10, Israeli forces raided Kafr Thulth town, stormed and searched several homes then withdrew at 02:15.
Temporary Detention
  • At 20:20, Israeli forces positioned near the wall gate in Azzun town temporarily detained the child Mohammad Bassim Abdel-Fattah Mansour (10 years old) and released him at a later time.
Closure of Wall Gates
  • The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
  • The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Closure
  • Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.
Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close the roads of Til-Burin and Beit Furik-Salem; the settler bypass road connecting the village of Deir al Hatab to the settlement of Alon Moreh; the road connecting the town of ‘Aqraba to the village of Osrin; and the detour road between the town of Qabalan and the village of Osrin.
  • The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
  • At 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
  • On November 29th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Burin, Awarta and Osirin as well as the agricultural bypass road connecting Aqraba and Qabalan village with dirt mounds.
  • At 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.
  • At 18:30 on January 19th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Huwara and Walada village with dirt mounds.
Military Checkpoints
  • At 17:30, Israeli forces closed Huwara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic at a later time.
  • At 17:30, Israeli forces closed Beit Furiq checkpoint then opened it at a later time.
Raid
  • At 10:05, Israeli forces raided Huwara town, forced owners of several commercial shop located along the main road to close down for alleged stoning in the area then withdrew at 14:30.
  • At 01:25, Israeli forces raided Balata camp in Nablus city, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 02:30.
House Demolition
  • At 08:25, Israeli forces stormed Khirbiet Al-Marajim village located near Duma village and demolished 3 homes {under construction} owned by Jamal Al-Taweel and Hisham Mohammad Jadrawi for allegedly being built without a licence.
Destruction of Property
  • On the evening of April 4th 2016, Israeli forces escorting several military bulldozers stormed Qaryut village and levelled a plot of land in the south area of the village and closed of agricultural road and as a result blocking off several residents reaching their agricultural land.
Settlers Violence
  • At 14:30, a group of Israeli settlers assaulted several farmers who were on their farm land in Awrta village.
  • On April 4th 2016, a group of Israeli settlers positioned near “Eli” settlement located near Al-Labban Al-Sharqiya village stoned several vehicles passing along the main road connecting Nablus and Ramallah and as a result damaged a rental vehicle.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
  • Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.
Military Checkpoints
  • At 17:30, Israeli forces closed Za’tara checkpoint then reopened it at a later time.
Raid
  • At 01:20, Israeli forces raided Deir Istiya town, detained a resident then withdrew at 02:10.
Detention
  • Israeli forces detained Jihad Tawfiq Mohammad Khaled in Deir Istiya town.
Temporary Detention
  • At 23:05, Israeli forces positioned at Za’tara junction checkpoint temporarily detained Alaa Mohammad Ali Abu Habib (A National Security Force Officer) then released him at 23:25.
Provocation of Palestinian Forces
  • At 18:50, Israeli forces positioned at Za’tara junction checkpoint temporarily detained Sultan Abu Al-Einin {Central Committee member} then released him at 20:50.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints
  • Israeli forces continue to intensify its restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District.
House Demolition

At 08:20, Israeli forces stormed Wadi Qult area located in west Jericho city and demolished 4 residential dens and a livestock den owned by Salah Ibrahim Nasser Nojoum and Mohammad Shihadeh Nojom.

BETHLEHEM

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village. (ii) Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds. (iii) Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds. (iv) Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires. (v) At 09:15 on February 16th 2016, Israeli forces closed the bypass road connecting Za’tara and Ush Al-Ghurab area located in east Beit Sahur town with dirt mounds. (vi) On February 25th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main steel entrance gate leading to Um Al Rakaba area in Al-Khader town. (vii) At 22:40 on March 17th 2016, Israeli forces closed all entrances leading to Beit Fajjar thus preventing residents or vehicles from entering or exiting. (viii) At 12:25 on March 18th 2016, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Marah Rabah village.

HEBRON

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighborhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed. (ii) Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City. (ii) The Israeli army continues to close the bypass road connecting Bani Na’im and Zif village junction with dirt mounds. (iii) The Israeli Army continues to close the entrance of Beit Ummar (located near the local Cemetery) with dirt mounds.

Raid

(i) At dawn on April 4th 2016, Israeli forces raided Beit Ummar town, stormed and searched a home and again at 01:30 raided the area and detained a resident. (ii) At 24:00, Israeli forces raided Dura town, clashed with several residents as they stormed several homes, detained 2 residents then withdrew at 06:00. (iii) At 01:30, Israeli forces raided Hebron city and summoned Mahran Nidal Al-Qawasmi to report to Israeli intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 06:00. (iv) At 01:55, Israeli forces raided Surif town, stormed and searched 2 homes and detained a resident. (v) At dawn on April 5th 2016, Israeli forces raided Al-Aroub camp and detained 2 residents.

Detention

(i) Israeli forces detained Waseem Jamal Baher in Beit Ummar. (ii) Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Mohammad Badwan Baroush and Mohammad Fawzi Amro in Dura town. (iii) Israeli forces detained Mahmoud Hamidat in Surif town. (iv) Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Ali Abu Basil and Yazan Muqbil in Al-Aroub camp.

Attack

At 13:50, Israeli forces positioned in Al-Sahla area in the old city of Hebron fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Destruction of Property

At 11:50, Israeli forces stormed the main road connecting Beit Ummar and Al-Aroub camp then demolished a storage room used as a spare parts shop owned by Ahmad Hameed Abu Mariya

Settlers Violence

At 18:00, Israeli settlers positioned in Al-Jawiya area located in east Yatta town chased 2 children: Mus’ab Musa Hassan Al-Shawahin (10 years old) and Baha Musa Hassan Al-Shawahin (16 years old) during which Israeli forces opened fire towards , temporarily detained and assaulted them before being released at a later time.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

  • At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of  increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month and at 03:00 on April 3rd 2016, the first phase for increasing the fishing limit from 6 nautical miles to 9 nautical miles stretching from Wadi Gaza shores to the Palestinian-Egyptian border in south Gaza.
  • Israeli Naval vessels broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire towards North Gaza.
