WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Raid

• At 02:30, Israeli forces raided the town and village of Qatanna and patrolled it until 05:30.

Detention

• On 29 July 2016, Israeli forces arrested 2 civilians, residents of Qalandia refugee camp while they were reporting to the military intelligence. The civilians are Ahmad Zuheir and Abdelaziz Mohammad Abdelaziz Mteir.

Deportation

• At 09:20, Israeli forces delivered decisions for the deportation of 3 civilians (2 are guards working at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and one is an employee in the Al-Aqsa Mosque Construction Committee) for 15 days from the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its vicinity. The civilians are Hamza Nabali (guard), Hamza Disi (guard) and Raed Zughaiar (from the Construction Committee).

House Demolition

On 29 July 2016, Israeli forces forced civilian Walid Shweiki in Thuri neighborhood in Jerusalem to demolish his home for unlicensed construction.

Demonstrations

• At 13:00, worshipers held Friday noon prayer on the rubles of demolished houses in the village of Qalandia where the Israeli forces demolished 11 homes and immediately the Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters and rubber coated steel bullets at worshipers injuring several civilians as a result of tear gas inhalation.

Attack

• At 13:00, Israeli forced fired in Qalandia village stun grenades, tear gas canisters and rubber coated bullets at civilians taking part in Friday noon prayer on the rubles of 11 homes Israeli forces demolished few day ago.

Closure of main Roads

On 29 July 2016, Israeli forces blocked the entrance of Hizma village with cement blocks.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

• At 19:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the entrance of Shuba village and searched civilians and vehicles.

Demonstrations

(i) At 13:15, a public march set out in the village of Bil’in in protest of the Apartheid Wall. Clashes ensured between civilian protesters and Israeli forces resulting in the asphyxiation of several civilians, including international solitary activists, as a result of gas inhalation. 1 civilian was arrested.
(ii) At 13:15, a public march set out in the village of Ni’lin including international solidarity activists in protest of the Apartheid Wall. Clashes ensured between civilian protesters and Israeli forces resulting in the asphyxiation of several civilians as a result of gas inhalation.

Detention

• The civilian arrested in Bil’in village is Hamzeh Ghazi Al-Khatib.

Attack

(i) At 13:20, Israeli forces fired in Bil’in village stud grenades, tear gas canisters and rubber coated steel bullets at civilian demonstrators protesting the construction of the Apartheid Wall.
(ii) At 13:20, Israeli forces fired in Ni’lin village stud grenades, tear gas canisters and rubber coated steel bullets at civilian demonstrators protesting the construction of the Apartheid Wall.
(iii) At 17:00, Israeli forces near Jalazon refugee camp fired live bullets, rubber coated steel bullets and tear gas canisters towards civilians for alleged stoning and injured 1 civilian.

Injuries

The civilian injured in Jalazon refugee camp is Mohammad Mahmoud Ghawanmeh.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

At 12:35, Israeli forces set up checkpoint near the junction of the village of Anza and searched civilians and vehicles.

Raid

• At 07:45, Israeli forces raided the city of Jenin and the city’s refugee camp, clashed with civilians during house search injuring 2 civilians (including 1 child) and arrested 3 civilians.

Detention

• The 3 civilians arrested in Jenin and Jenin’s refugee camp are Abdelrahman Fadl Sheikh Qassem, a resident of the camp, Thaer Jihad Ahmad Hifnawi, a resident of Jenin city, and Abdallah Ahmad Dhiab Al-Husari, resident of the camp.

Attack

• At 07:45, Israeli forces fired during raid on Jenin and Jenin’s refugee camp live bullets, stun grenades, rubber coated steel bullets and tear gas canisters at civilians for alleged stoning during house search and injured 7 civilians including 2 children.

Injuries

The civilians injured in Jenin and Jenin’s refugee camp are Youssef Nasser Hasan Salah, 16, Adel Mustafa Asad Abu Hussein, 13, Ghassan Imad Yihya Abu Ghali, Abdallah Mohammad Shaker Sawalha, Rabee Jamal Awad Abu Hussein, Muhannad Jamal Awad Abu Hussein and Fawzi Jamal Abu Duqqah.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 18:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqilya and searched civilians and vehicles.
(ii) At 20:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the junction of the village of Jit and searched civilians and vehicles.

Demonstrations

• At 13:30, a public march set out in the village of Kafr Qaddoum in participation with international activists in protest of the continuing closures of the east entrance of the village and Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades at protesters to prevent them from reaching the closed area.

Attack

(i) At 13:30, Israeli forces in Kafr Qaddoum village fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters towards civilian marches protesting the continuing closure of the eat entrance of the village.
(ii) At 19:50, Israeli forces guarding the Apartheid Wall alongside the town of Habla fired stun grenades, tear gas canisters and rubber coated steel bullets towards civilians for alleged stoning.
At 19:50, Israeli forces guarding the Apartheid Wall alongside the town of Jayyous fired stun grenades, tear gas canisters and rubber coated steel bullets towards civilians for alleged stoning.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

• At 12:55, Israeli forces blocked Huwara checkpoint and impeded flow of traffic. The checkpoint was reopened at 16:50.

Flying Checkpoints

• At 19:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Sharaf village and searched civilians and vehicles.

Raid

• At dawn on 30 July 2016, Israeli forces raided the village of Salem and stormed into 4 civilian homes.

Demonstrations

• At 13:30, a public demonstration set out near Huwara checkpoint in solidarity of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails. Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades at demonstrators.

Attack

At 13:30, Israeli forces positioned near Huwara checkpoint fired stun grenades, tear gas canisters and rubber coated steel bullets at civilians protesting in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.

SALFIT

Detention

At 12:45, Israeli forces arrested at the junction of Zaatara checkpoint civilian Mahmoud Al-Wadi.

BETHLEHEM

Military Checkpoints

• At 23:30, Israeli forces intensified restrictions at the kontener checkpoint and impeded flow of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the village of Deir Salah (east entrance of the city of Beit Sahour) and searched civilians and vehicles until 21:00.

Raid

(i) At dawn on 30 July 2016, Israeli forces raided the city of Beit Sahour and delivered notification to civilian Shadi Jalal Othman to report to the military intelligence.
(ii) At dawn on 30 July 2016, Israeli forces raided the village of Marah Barah and delivered notification to civilian Suhaib Ibrahim Sheikh to report to military intelligence.
(iii) On July 30th 2016, Israeli forces raided the village of Jarmala, stormed into and searched several civilian homes.

Detention

At 12:00, Israeli forces arrested at kontener checkpoint civilian Mohammad Mahmoud Mohammad Qarqour, a resident of Thahiryye town in Hebron.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 15:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of the town of Beit Ummar and arrested 1 civilian.
(ii) At 16:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Fawwar junction and searched civilians and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At 18:00, Israeli forces raided and patrolled the tyown of Dura.
(ii) At dawn on 30 July 2016, Israeli forces raided the town of Sair and arrested a military officer from the Presidential Guard.

Detention

(i) The civilian arrested at the entrance of the town of Beit Ummar is Mohammad Samir Sadeq Abu Maria.
(ii) The military officer arrested in Sair town is Fahmi Nidal Froukh.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.
Israeli forces broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from the position inside the Green Line towards Gaza and Central Gaza. Israeli navy boats opened fire towards fishermen and fishing boat in Gaza and Central Gaza injuring 4 civilians.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

• Beit Hanun (Erez) is open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businessmen and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

At 11:10, Israeli navy opened fire towards Palestinian fishermen and fishing boats in Al-Soudaniya area west of the town of Beit Lahia.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
(ii) Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

• At 15:30, Israeli forces fired stun grenades, live bullets and rubber coated steel bullets towards civilians in the vicinity of Shija’iah ‘Nahal Oz” Crossing east of Shija’iah neighborhood east of the city of Gaza taking part in a demonstration protesting continuing settler attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, injuring 2 civilians.

Injuries

The 2 civilians injured in Shija’iah ‘Nahal Oz” Crossing have not been identified.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

• At 15:00 on 29 July 2016, Israeli forces fire stun grenades, rubber coated bullets and tear gas canisters from the position behind the Green Line towards civilians east of Briej refugee camp during a demonstration protesting continuing settler attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, injuring 2 civilians.

Injuries

The 2 civilians injured east of Breij refugee camp have not been identified.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

• Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
• Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
• Sufa Crossing is closed
. Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed.
