WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

• At 03:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Ras Amud neighborhood in Jerusalem and searched civilians and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At 03:10 on 23 July 2016 and at 05:00 on 24 July 2016, Israeli forces raided Al-Ram town, patrolled it and clashed with civilians.
(ii) At 03:00, Israeli forces raided the towns of Izariyye and stormed several commercial stores.

Attack

At 03:10 on 23 July 2016, during raid on Al-Ram town Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters and rubber coated bullets towards civilians for alleged stoning.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 20:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the bridge of Attara town and searched civilians and vehicles until 00:15.
(ii) At 22:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint on the entrance of Um Safa village and searched civilians and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At dawn on 23 July 2016, Israeli forces raided Jalazon refugee camp and delivered notification to civilian Sabri Abu Deeb to report to the military intelligence.
(ii) At 01:15, Israeli forces raided the town of Silwad and clashed with civilians during house raid injuring civilian Maher Youssef Hamed. In addition, Israeli forces delivered notifications to 3 civilians, including 1 university student, to report to the military intelligence. The 3 civilians are university student Tareq Talib Hamed, Mohammad Bassem Hamed and Yihya Ahmad Mahmoud Hamed. The Israeli forces withdrew at 01:30.
(iii) At 01:55, Israeli forces raided the city of Al-Bireh and arrested 3 civilians.
(iv) At 04:00, Israeli forces raided the town of Beit Rima and delivered to civilian Jihad Fahd Barghouti a notification to report to the military intelligence and then withdrew at 05:00.

Detention

• The 3 civilians detained in the city of Al-Bireh are Baha Hatem Qashou, Tawfiq Hisham Abu Aisseh and Ali Abdelrahman Jaradat.

Attack

• At 01:50, during raid on Silwad town Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades towards civilians for alleged stoning, stormed 3 civilian homes and injured 1 civilian.

Injuries

the civilian injured in Silwad town is Youssef Maher Youssef Hamed.

JENIN

Raid

At 10:40, Israeli forces raided the city of Jenin and attempted to storm the Arab American University but the students blocked the entrance to the university and forced the Israeli forces to withdraw at 11:00.

TUBAS

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Ein Beda village in the Northern valley and searched civilians and vehicles until 19:20.

TULKAREM

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 18:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Qafin town and searched civilians and vehicles until 20:00.
At 19:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Lid town and searched civilians and vehicles until 21:30.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 18:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint between the towns of Jayyous and ‘Azun and searched civilians and vehicles.
(ii) At 21:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of the town of ‘Azun and searched vehicles and civilians.

Demonstrations

• At 18:20, a public march set out in Kafr Qaddoum village in protest of the continuing closure of the east entrance of the village. The Israeli forces fired live and rubber coated bullets, stun grenades and tear gas canisters at demonstrators and prevented them from reaching the closed entrance.

Attack

At 18:20, Israeli forces in Kafr Qaddoum village fired rubber coated bullets, stun grenades and tear gas canisters at demonstrators protecting the continuing closure of the east entrance of the village.

NABLUS

Raid

(i) At 16:00, Israeli forces raided the village of Bourin and patrolled it until 17:00.
(ii) At 24:00, Israeli forces raided and patrolled Kafr Qalil village.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

• At 17:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint between the towns of Brouqin and Kafr Al-Dik and searched civilians and vehicles.

Settlers Attacks

At 04:15, a group of settlers assembled on the road connecting Kafl Haris town with Haris village and stoned civilian vehicles.

JERICHO

Raid

• At 01:20, Israeli forces raided the village of mar Naja, arrested 1 civilian and withdrew at 07:55.

Detention

The civilian arrested in Marj Naja village is Shadi Mohammad Fawaz Aida.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 08:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Jenata town and searched civilians and vehicles until 10:00.
(ii) At 20:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the north entrance of Beit Jala town and searched civilians and vehicles until 21;30.
(iii) At 22:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Nashash junction (south entrance to Bethlehem city) and searched civilians and vehicles until 22:10.

Raid

(i) At 14:30, Israeli forces raided the city of Bethlehem and delivered notification to civilian Yassin Mohammad Hermi to report to the military intelligence.
(ii) At 18:30, Israeli forces raided the city of Beit Sahour, stormed a gas station and withdrew at 20:30.
(iii) At 22:20, Israeli forces raided the town of Teqoa and patrolled it until 22:40.
(iv) At 23:30, Israeli forces raided the town of Husan, clashed with civilians during patrol and withdrew at 00:30.
(v) At 01:40, Israeli forces raided the city of Bethlehem and the town of Al-Khader, clashed with civilians, arrested 3 civilians and withdrew at 04:10.

Detention

• The 3 civilians detained in Bethlehem and Al-Khader are Mohammad Adib Mousa, Khaled Jamil Abu Samra and Youssef Adawi.

Closure of Roads

At 22:15, Israeli forces closed the entrance of al-Iskan area west of the city of Beit Jala with cement blocks.

Settlers Attacks

At 17:40, a group of settlers assembled on agricultural land in Thagra area in the town of Al-Khader near Elizar settlement and attacked 3 farmers who were working on their land. The 3 farmers are: Samer Bakr Ghneim, Ahmad Atiyyeh Ghneim and Islam Atiyyeh Ghneim. One settler opened fire indiscriminately at Palestinian farmers and forced them to leave the land.

Attack

(i) At 17:40, a settler opened fire indiscriminately at civilian farmers in Thagra area in the town of Al-Khader near Elizar settlement and forced them to leave their land.
(ii) At 23:30, Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades towards civilians during a raid on Hussan village for alleged stoning.
At 01:40, Israeli forces fired during raid on the city Bethlehem and the town of Al-Khader stun grenades and tear gas canisters towards civilians for alleged stoning.

HEBRON

Raid

(i) At 00:55, Israeli forces raided the city of Hebron and delivered a notification to civilian Wadi Qawasmi to report to the military intelligence and withdrew at 03:15.
(ii) At dawn on 24 July 2016, Israeli forces raided Dura town, clashed with civilians, stormed civilian homes and arrested 1 civilian.

Detention

• The civilian arrested in Dura is Saed Ahmad Youssef Talahmeh.

Attack

• At dawn on 24 July 2015, Israeli forces during a raid on Dura fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters towards civilians for alleged stoning during house search.

Temporary Detention

At 23:35, Israeli forces detained in Tel Rumaida neighborhood in the old city of Hebron the child called Shifa Marwan said from Tel Rumaida and release her at a later time.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area from 300 to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month. On 3 April 2016 the decision to expand the fishing area from 6 to 9 nautical miles entered into effect but the Israeli authorities reduced the area back to 6 nautical miles on 26 June 2016.
Israeli forces broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their position behind the Green Line towards Khan Yunis.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

Beit Hanun (Erez) is closed.

GAZA

(i) Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
(ii) Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 12:20 on 23 July 2016, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural lands east of Abassan Al-Kabira town.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
(ii) Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
(iii) Sufa Crossing is closed
(iv) Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed.
