WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Raid

(i) At 10:00, Israeli forces raided the town of Izariyye and delivered notification to civilian Sleiman Mohammad Bassa to report to the military intelligence.
(ii) At 02:50, Israeli forces raided the town of Kafr Aqab and Semiramis area north of Jerusalem and clashed with civilians during patrol.
(iii) At 02:50, Israeli forces raided the town of Al-Ram and clashed with civilians during patrol.

Detention

(i) At 22:00, Israeli forces arrested and assaulted 2 civilians (father and son) in Ein Lozeh area in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem. The civilians are Numan Mazen Abu Sneineh, 16, and his father Mazen Abu Sneineh.
(ii) At 03:00, Israeli forces arrested 2 children in Tur neighborhood in Jerusalem. The children are Sleiman Salameh Abu Sbetan, 16, and Khaled Ramzi abu Al-Hawa, 15.

Physical Assault

(i) At 22:00, Israeli forces positioned in Ein Lozeh area in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem attacked 2 civilians (father and son). The civiians are Numan Mazen Abu Sneineh, 16, and his father Mazen Abu Sneineh.
(ii) At 24:00, Israeli forces in Jerusalem attacked civilian Abdallah Naim Al-Najjar from Hebron while he was trying to enter into Jerusalem and injured him in the leg.

Attack

(i) At 02:50, Israeli forces fired during raid on Kafr Aqab in Semiramis area north of Jerusalem tear gas canisters and rubber coated steel bullets for alleged stoning.
(ii) At 02:50, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun grenades and tear gas canisters at civilians for alleged stoning during raid on Al-Ram town.

Destruction of Property

At 18:00, Israeli forces demolished a commercial establishment in the industrial zone north of the city of Jerusalem.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:00, a group of extremist settlers guarded by Israeli forces raided the compound of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

• At 14:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the junction of the town of Taybeh (between Ramallah and Jericho) and searched civilians and vehicles until 15:25.

Raid

(i) At 10:10, Israeli forces raided the town of Beit Luqya and clashed with civilians and vehicles.
(ii) At 02:00, Israeli forces raided the city of Al-Bireh and arrested 1 university student.
(iii) At 02:45, Israeli forces raided the city of Ramallah and patrolled it until 06:10.

Detention

• The civilian arrested in the city of Al-Bireh is Mohammad Munther Al-Ouri (a university student).

Attack

(i) At 10:10, during raid on the town of Beit Luqya Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades towards civilians for alleged stoning.
(ii) At 17:10, Israeli forces positioned at the entrance of the town of Aboud fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades towards civilians for alleged stoning, injuring 1 civilian.

Injuries

The civilian injured at the entrance of Aboud is Anas Ibrahim Salim.

JENIN

Raid

• At 09:20, Israeli forces raided the town of Silet Al-Thahr and arrested 1 civilian.

Detention

The civilian arrested in Silet Al-Thahr is Anas Fathi Abu Qayyaf.

TULKAREM

Raid

(i) At dawn on 20 July 2016, Israeli forces raided the suburb of Shweikeh in the city of Tulkarem and arrested 1 civilian.
(ii) At 02:10, Israeli forces raided the city of Tulkarem and Tulkarem refugee camp, stormed into 1 civilian home and delivered notification to civilian Haitham Noureddin Mahmoud Balidi to report to the military intelligence.
(iii) At 02:10, Israeli forces raided the town of Beit Lid, stormed into and searched 1 civilian home and withdrew at 05:00.

Detention

The civilian arrested in the suburb of Shweikeh in the city of Tulkarem is Sleiman Abdel Hadi Sleiman Abu Jabal.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 11:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of the town of Jayyous and searched vehicles and civilians.
(ii) At 13:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint between the villages of Beit Amin and Sinerya and searched civilians and vehicles.
(iii) At 14:15 and 23:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of the city of Qalqilya and searched civilians and vehicles.
(iv) At 04:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of the town of Azun and searched civilians and vehicles.

Raid

• At 02:15, Israeli forces raided the town of Jayyous, clashed with civilians during patrol and withdrew at 03:00.

Detention

• At 22:40, Israeli forces arrested near the village of Azun Itmeh civilian Adel Wasfi Rabayah from Mithelon village in Jenin.

Attack

• At 02:15, Israeli forces fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters towards civilians for alleged stoning during raid on the town of Jayyous.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

• At 21:45, Israeli forces intensified restrictions at Beit Fourik checkpoint and impeded traffic flow until 22:45.

Raid

(i) At 09:30, Israeli forces raided the village of duma and inspected the civilian home that was set on fire by settlers (as mentioned in the last report) and then withdrew at 13:00.
(ii) At 10:50, Israeli forces raided the village of Majdal Bani Fadel and delivered notifications to halt the construction of 2 civilian homes.
(iii) At 01:35, Israeli forces raided the village of Kafr Qalil, stormed into and searched several civilian homes, arrested 8 civilians (including 2 military and police officers).

Detention

• The 8 civilians arrested in Kafr Qalil village are Military officer Bilal Fathi Rashid Mansour, military officer Rabee Murjan Mansour, police officer Sa’d Jamil Saleh Qanni, Tamer Khaled Nayef Amer, Fadi Khaled Nayef Amer, Talat Sleiman Sayel Sleiman, Sleiman Sadeq Mansour and Ahmad Walid Abdeljalil Amer.

Assaults on Property

At 10:50, Israeli forces delivered in the village of Majdal Bani Fadel notifications to halt the construction of 2 civilian homes under the pretext of unlicensed construction in Area C which is under Israeli control. The homes are owned by the families of Al-Zein and Othman.

SALFIT

Settlers Attacks

(i) At 10:50, a group of settlers from Imanuel settlement stoned civilian vehicles on Wadi Qana road (between Salfit and Qalqilya).
At 23:20, a group of settlers stoned civilian vehicles passing through the checkpoint near Zatara junction.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 09:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the north entrance of the city of Jericho and searched civilians and vehicles until 10:05.
(ii) At 19:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of the city of Jericho and searched civilians and vehicles until 20:20.

Raid

• At 01:00, Israeli forces raided the village of Fasayel and attacked civilian Nasser Swerki in his home.

Physical Assault

At 01:00, Israeli forces attacked during raid on the village of Fasayel civilian Nasser Fahmi Swerki in his home.

Temporary Detention

At 17:50, Israeli forces detained at Al-Karama crossing (Allenby) military officer Turki Mamdouh Jarrar from the NSF while he was returning from Jordan and released him at 19:15.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 10:10 and 20:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the village of Dar Salah on the east entrance of the city of Beit Sahour and searched vehicles and civilians until 21:10.
(ii) At 21:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint on the west entrance of the village of Nahalin and searched civilians and vehicles until 23:25.

Raid

• At 02:30, Israeli forces raided the city of Bethlehem, arrested 2 civilians and delivered 4 notifications to Usayd Hussein Mohammad Wardyan, Islam Hassan Mohammad Wardyan, Hassan Mohammad Wardyan and Haroun Saleh Issa Qassem .

Detention

The 2 civilians arrested in Bethlehem are Mahmoud Hassan Mohammad Wardyan and Shadi Mohammad Abdelrazik Badawneh.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 15:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the junction of Al-Fawwar refugee camp (south entrance of Dura) and searched civilian and vehicles.
(ii) At 16:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint on Halhul Bridge and searched civilians and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At 18:40, Israeli forces raided and patrolled the city of Hebron.
(ii) At 01:10, Israeli forces raided the town of Beit Awwa, stormed into and searched several civilian homes and withdrew at 05:40.
(iii) At 01:25, Israeli forces raided the town of Yatta, stormed into and searched several civilian homes and withdrew at 05:40.
(iv) At 01:45, Israeli forces raided the town of Dura, stormed into and searched several civilian homes and withdrew at 05:40.

Attack

At 22:00, Israeli forces positioned opposite Al-Aroud refugee camp fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters towards civilians for alleged stoning.

Confiscation of Property

At 22:50 on July 20th, 2016, Israeli Forces confiscated an amount of ( 150000) new Israeli Shakels from the house of the civilian Muhammad Ali Masalmeh during a raid to the town of Beit Awwa ( as mentioned in the previous report) .

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area from 300 to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month. On 3 April 2016 the decision to expand the fishing area from 6 to 9 nautical miles entered into effect but the Israeli authorities reduced the area back to 6 nautical miles on 26 June 2016.
Israeli forces broke cease fire by infiltrating into Palestinian areas. Israeli navy boats opened fire at fishing boats north of Gaza, and Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards central Gaza injuring 1 civilian.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

Beit Hanun (Erez) is partially open for humanitarian cases, international journalists, employees working for humanitarian agencies, businessmen and passengers traveling though Al-Karama Crossing.

Raid

• At 08:30 on 20 July 2016, Israeli bulldozers infiltrated at the depth of 50 meters into the area east of Shuhada cemetery east of Jabalia and razed lands.

Attack

• In the morning of 20 July 2016 Israeli navy boats opened fire towards fishing boats in Soudaniyya area west of Beit Lahia, arrested 4 fishermen and confiscated their boat.

Detention

• The 4 civilians arrested in Soudaniyya area are Bayan Bakr, Omar Yihya Bakr, Mohammad Yousef Bakr and Mohammad Munir Bakr.

Confiscation of Property

In the morning of 20 July 2016, Israeli forces confiscated in Soudaniyya area a fishing boat and arrested 4 fishermen.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
(ii) Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

• At 07:15 on 20 July 2016, Israeli forces opened fire from their position behind the Green Line towards agricultural lands east of the city of Deir Al-balah and injured 1 farmer who was cultivating his land.

Injuries

The farmer injured east of Deir Al-Balah is Awni Hassan Sleiman Abu Gharraba.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
(ii) Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
(iii) Sufa Crossing is closed
(iv) Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.
