WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure of District

(i) On May 28th 2016, The Israeli army intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
(iii) The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint.

Military Checkpoints

(i) Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
(ii) On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.

Raid

At 18:45, Israeli forces raided Al-Ram town until 19:45.

Attack

At 20:00, Israeli forces positioned at the north entrance of Al-Ram town fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Detention

(i) On May 27th 2016, Israeli forces detained Alaa Baddis (A resident of Al-Jaderah village).
(ii) At 15:00, Israeli forces detained Alaa Tawfiq Abu Taya {A resident of Silwan neighbourhood in Jerusalem city}.
(iii) At 19:00, Israeli forces detained Wael Abu Obieda {A Civil Defence Officer working for the Islamic Affairs department{Al-Awqaf} as he was reporting to Israeli Police department near Al-Abasat gate based on a prior summon.
(iv) At 20:00, Israeli forces detained the child Ameer Faroukh {17 years old}{A resident of Silwan neighbourhood

House Demolition

At 15:00, the Israeli Military forced Mohammad Yunis Abu Taya to demolish portion of his home {consisting of a Kitchen and a Bathroom} located in Silwan neighbourhood in Jerusalem city and imposed a financial penalty for allegedly being built without a licence.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
(ii) Since 24:00 on February 14th 2016, closed the main road near the entrance of “Bet El” settlement which leads to Al-Jalazoun camp with cement block.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 20:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Atarah town then searched residents and vehicles.
(ii) At 22:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Taybeh town junction located along the main road connecting Ramallah and Jericho then searched residents and vehicles until 23:15.

Raid

(i) At 01:40, Israeli forces raided Um Safa village, clashed with several residents as they stormed a home and as a result damaged a vehicle owned by Zaki Abdel-Rahman Dar Damra {A resident of Awarta town}as he was near the village entrance then withdrew at 03:30.
(ii) At 01:40, Israeli forces raided Kafr Malik village until 03:30.
(iii) At 03:25, Israeli forces raided Ein Yabroud village, detained a resident then withdrew at 03:30.
(iv) At 04:10, Israeli forces raided Ein Yabroud village, detained a resident then withdrew at 03:30.
(v) At 04:10, Israeli forces raided Al-Bireh city and detained a resident.
(vi) At 04:25, Israeli forces raided Burham village.
(vii) At 04:25, Israeli forces raided Kubar village and detained 2 residents.

Attack

Israeli forces clashed with several residents in Um Safa village.

Destruction of Property

Israeli forces damaged a vehicle owned by Zaki Abdel-Rahman Dar Damra {A resident of Awarta town} in Um Safa village.

Detention

(i) Israeli forces detained Zahi Hatem Dahabrah in Ein Yabroud village.
(ii) Israeli forces detained Majd Hamdan in Al-Bireh city.
(iii) Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Ibrahim Diya Harish and Talhat Abdel-Sater Ziyar in Qubar village.

JENIN

Closure (per District)

Since December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area and declared the area a closed military zone.

Closure of Roads

The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan.

Closure of Wall Gates

Israeli forces continue to close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it

TUBAS

Closure of Roads

Since 12:30 on March 15th 2016, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Al-Aqaba village with cement blocks.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and impeded the free flow of traffic.

QALQILIYA

Closure of main Roads

(i) Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
(ii) In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
(iii) Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate.

Flying Checkpoints

At 11:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun Atma village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 01:45, Israeli forces raided Qalqiliya city until 04:00.

Demonstrations

At 16:30, a demonstration took place in Kafr Qaddum village protesting against the continued closure of the east entrance of the village during which Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards demonstrators as the prevented them from reaching the demonstration site

Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards demonstrators in Kafr Qaddum village.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
(ii) The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Closure (per District)

Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.

Closure of Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
(ii) Since 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area

Military Checkpoints

At 13:55 and again at 20:20, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Huwara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

At 11:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Sarah village junction located along the main road connecting Qalqiliya and Nablus then searched residents and vehicles until 13:10.

Raid

(i) At 16:30, Israeli forces raided Sarah village.
(ii) At 18:50, Israeli forces raided Al-Bithan village.
(iii) At 04:10, Israeli forces raided Askar camp in Nablus city and as a result damaged home furniture owned by Assad Abdel-Jawad Al-Salah then withdrew at 05:00.

SALFIT

Closure of District

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
(ii) Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.

At 14:40, Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Ballout town then searched residents and vehicles.

Settlers Attacks

At 16:45, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Harris village located near “Rafafa” settlement then withdrew at a later time.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces continue to intensify its restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District.

Flying Checkpoints

At 19:45 and again at 02:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles until 05:00.

BETHLEHEM

Closure of District

(i) The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
(ii) Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.

Closure of Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
(ii) Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.

Flying Checkpoints

At 20:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Aqbat Hasna area located near the entrance of Husan village then searched residents and vehicles until 22:00.

Raid

(i) At 01:50, Israeli forces raided Bethlehem city, Duhisheh camp and Doha town, clashed with several residents as they stormed several homes in Duhisheh camp and as a result injured Raghed Raed Abdel-Hadi Shamroukh {A resident of Duhisheh camp} then withdrew at 04:55.
(ii) At 02:55, Israeli forces raided Beit Fajjar town, detained 2 children and summoned Sayef Eyad Thawabteh (16 years old) to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.

Attack

1. Israeli forces clashed with several residents as they stormed several homes in Duhisheh camp.
2. At 17:55, Israeli forces positioned at Ayda camp in Bethlehem city fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Injuries

Raghed Raed Abdel-Hadi Shamroukh {A resident of Duhisheh camp} was injured during clashes in Duhisheh camp .

Detention

Israeli forces detained Mohammad Mansour Thawabteh {14 years old} and Ahmad Samih Mohammad Al-Sheikh {17 years old} in Beit Fajjar town.

Temporary Detention

At 19:55, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Khader town temporarily detained 2 residents including a child: Rabi’ Mohammad Issa (15 years old) and Mohammad Eyad Hussein Issa then released them at 20:00.

Settlers Violence

At 20:10, a group of Israeli settlers positioned near “Kafr Itsiyon” settlement stoned residents and vehicles travelling along {the main road connecting Bethlehem and Hebron} and as a result damaged a vehicle owned by Sayf Al-Arab Ahmad Masha’lah {A resident of Al-Jub’a village}.

Destruction of Property

Israeli settlers I positioned near “Kafr Itsiyon” settlement stoned residents and vehicles travelling along {the main road connecting Bethlehem and Hebron} a result damaged a vehicle owned by Sayf Al-Arab Ahmad Masha’lah {A resident of Al-Jub’a village}.

HEBRON

Closure (per District)

(i) The Israeli army continues to close Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
(ii) Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.

Closure of Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the bypass road connecting Bani Na’im and Zif village junction with dirt mounds.
(iii) The Israeli Army continues to close the entrance of Beit Ummar (located near the local Cemetery) with dirt mounds.

Raid

(i) At 19:45, Israeli forces raided Beit Amrah village until 20:15.
(ii) At 00:30, Israeli forces raided Bani Na’im town, stormed and searched a home then withdrew at 03:15.
(iii) At dawn on May 29th 2016, Israeli forces raided Hebron city and detained a resident.
(iv) At dawn on May 29th 2016, Israeli forces raided Beit Ummar town then stormed and searched several homes.

Detention

(i) On May 28th 2016, Israeli forces detained Hafith Mohammad Hassan Al-Fasfous {A resident of Dura}.
(ii) Israeli forces detained Rami Hamdi Yunis Al-Jundi in Hebron city.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.
• The Israeli military broke the cease fire agreement by opened fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Gaza District.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
(ii) Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

At 11:00 on May 28th 2016, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Jaher Al-Dik town located in east Gaza city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
(ii) Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed
(iii) Sufa Crossing is closed
(iv) Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed.
