DAILY SITUATION REPORT
08:00, 8th January 2020 – 08:00, 9th January 2020
1.At dawn on January 8th 2020, Israeli forces raided Anata town and detained 2 residents.
2. On January 8th 2020, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village and served military orders to demolish several homes for allegdly being built without licenses.
3. At dawn on January 9th 2020, Israeli forces raided Al-Eizariya town and detained a child.
1. At 20:00, Israeli forces detained Yacoub Al-Dabagh in the old city of Jerusalem.
2. Israeli forces detained Samih Al-Rafa'i and Mohammad Al-Rafa'i in Anata town.
3. Israeli forces detained Firas Ramzi Warani {16 years old} in Al-Eizariya town.
On the evening of January 8th 2019, Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city issued orders banning Sana Al-Rajabi {a resident of Jerusalem city} from entering Al-Aqsa mosque compound for a period of 15 days as a condition for her release after being detained at an earlier time.
On January 8th 2020, Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city forced Ayisha Mashahrat to demolish her home{ built of cement and 60m2} in Jabal Al-Mukabir neighborhood in Jerusalem city {in order to avoid a financial penalty in the event the Israeli military conducted the demolition} for allegdly being built without a license.
At 08:00,a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.
1. At 09:25, Israeli forces raided Al-Jalazoun camp and detained 2 residents.
2. At dawn on January 9th 2020, Israeli forces raided Silwad town and detained a resident.
1. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Mohammad Ibrahim Ghawnmat and Yusef Issa in Al-Jalazoun camp.
2. Israeli forces detained Osama Natheer Hamad in Silwad town.
At dawn on January 9th 2020, Israeli forces raided Anin village and detained a resident.
Israeli forces detained Ahmad Rafiq Mansour in Anin village.
At 14:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Bazariya village junction located in east Anabta town then searched residents and vehicles.
At dawn on January 9th 2020, Israeli forces raided Kafr Al-Labbad town and detained a resident.
Israeli forces detained Jamal Hafith Abdallah Foqaha in Kafr Al-Labbad town.
At dawn on January 8th 2020 and again at dawn on January 9th 2020, Israeli forces raided Azzun town and detained 2 residents.
Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Ahmad Mohammad Abdel-Rahman Adawn and Nahar Adnan Ibrahim Imran in Azzun town.
On the evening of January 8th 2020, Israeli forces positioned near the North entrance of Azzun town fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and hurling of a Molotov firebomb.
At 16:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Talfit village then searched residents and vehicles.
On January 8th 2020, a group of Israeli settlers from "Rahalim" settlement located in Al-Sawiya village chopped down 50 Olive trees owned by Hamad Mahmoud Hakamat in Al-Wad area located in Al-Sawiya village
At 01:50, Israeli forces raided Kafil Harris town and detained a resident.
Israeli forces detained Osama Zied Salah in Harris town.
At 15:50,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Aqbat Hasna area {located along the main road leading to the west villages of Bethlehem district} then searched residents and vehicles until 16:20.
At 02:55, Israeli forces raided Bethlehem city , Al-Azat and Al-Duhishat camps, detained 2 residents in Bethlehem city and Al-Azat camp and summoned Mahmoud Abdel-Kareem Ayad {a resident of Al-Duhishat camp} to report to Israeli Intellegnce for questioning then withdrew at 05:50.
Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Samer Shibli Al-Qaisi {residents of Bethlehem city}, and Hamza Muhammad Taha Ramadan { a resident of Al-Azza camp}.
At dawn on January 8th 2020, Israeli forces raided Surif town and detained a resident.
Israeli forces detained Mohammad Ahmad Ghanimat in Surif town.
• At 19:00 on August 26th 2019,The permanent and comprehensive cease-fire entered into force on the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, introduce humanitarian and relief assistance and reconstruction supplies, expand the fishing area for 6 miles, Up to 12 miles by the end of the current year, reducing the area of the buffer zone from 300 m to 100 m, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. The other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within one month of the cease-fire.
On the morning of 28 June 2019, the Israeli occupation forces allowed the expansion of the sea fishing area in the north of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip and up to 6 nautical miles from the port of Gaza and from the port of Gaza to the south of Rafah until 15 nautical miles.
* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.
* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit and entry of residents.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entrance of Humanitarian aid, limited supplies of Diesel fuel and construction material for Internationally funded projects.
