Daily Report October 8, 2016

At 17:00 and again at 03:40, Israeli forces raided Al-Eizariya and Abu Dis towns, clashed with several residents and as a result left several resiednts suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

At 14:00, Israeli forces positioned at Al-Sahara Gate {Herod's Gate} in the old city of Jerusalem detained Ahmad Muna.

At 17:00, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas gernades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Al-Eizariya and Abu Dis towns and as a result left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

1. At 10:00, 2 Israeli settler extremists {Disguised as Arabs} stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem before being discovered by mosque guards and forcing them out of the compound.
2. At 21:20, Israeli settlers stormed Al-Suwana neighborhood in Jerusalem city stoned several merchant shops and homes then provoked resiednts in Wadi Al-Joz neighborhood.

At 23:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Atarah town bridge then searched residents and vehicles.

1. At 13:30, a demonstration took place in Bil’in village protesting against the construction of the wall during which they clashed with Israeli forces and as a result suffocated several residents from tear gas inhalation and temporarily detained 2 residents and released them at a later time.

4. At 18:00, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Silwad town fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
5. At 18:45, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Al-Mughier village fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Israeli forces injured 2 children: Jihad Nidal Aliyan (16 years old) and Mohammad Hisham Mahmoud Safi (17 years old) as they clashed with residents near Al-Jalazoun camp.

At 15:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint beneath Azzun town bridge {Located along the main road connecting Qalqilya and Tulkarem} then searched residents and vehicles.

At 13:30, a demonstration took place in Kafr Qaddum village against the closure of the east entrance during which they clashed with Israeli forces tried to disrupt the demonstration by firing live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards demonstrators who attempted to reach the demonstration site and as a result left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

1. At 11:00, Israeli forces closed Huwara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until reopening it at a later time.
2. At 19:00, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Beit Furiq checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 20:00.

At 19:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Beit town junction then searched residents and vehicles.

On October 7th 2016, Israeli Military forces served a Military order to the local council of Jalloud village for the confiscation of 400 dunums of land in the south area the village for the purpose of settlement construction in the area.

At 21:40, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za'tara junction checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

At 16:40 and again at 07:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Zawiya town then searched residents and vehicles.

At 21:45, Israeli forces raided Kafil Harris town and Harris village.

At 12:10, Israeli force positioned at Za'tara junction checkpoint detained Hassan Ali Sadiq Suliman {A resident of Bal'a town in Tulkarem district}.

At 17:00, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Yassuf village and assaulted several farmers who were collecting Olive harvest during which Israeli forces temporarily detained 2 resiednts then released them at a later time.

At 22:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Dar Salah village bridge{ located at the east entrance of Beit Sahour city} then searched residents and vehicles until 00:30.

At 05:30, Israeli forces raided Bethlehem and Al-Duhisheh camp and clashed with several residents as they stormed several merchant shops in the camp.

At 10:00, Israeli forces temporarily detained Basel Jallal Abu Kamil as he was accompanied by several members of his family at a farm in Wadi Hums area then released him at a later time.

1. At 16:55, Israeli forces positioned in the vicinity of Billal Bin Rabah Mosque located in North Bethlehem city fired stun and tear gas gernades towards several resiednts for alleged stoning and detained a child.
2. At 05:30, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas gernades towards several resiednts for alleged stoning as they stormed several merchant shops during their raid into Bethlehem and Al-Duhisheh camp.

1. At 13:10, Israeli forces raided Khursa village and occupied 2 homes owned by Yusef Ramadan and Ahmad Yusef Ghannam then converted their rooftops into Military posts and withdrew at 15:00.
2. At dawn on October 8th 2016, Israeli forces raided Surif town and detained a resident after storming his home.

* Beit Hanun (Erez) is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons, passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing and the entry of 250 residents into Al-Aqsa mosque for prayers with previous coordination.

At 08:00 on October 7th 2016, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town and detained 2 fishermen after confiscating their fishing boat.

At 15:30 on October 7th 2016, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green line opened fire towards several residents located in the vicinity Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing located in east Al-Shija’iya neighborhood in east Gaza city as they were participating in demonstrations protesting the Israeli Military and settler attack on Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and as a result injured 3 residents and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
