Dr. Erekat denies report on “secret contacts” with the Israeli side

PLO Executive Committee Member and Chief Negotiator Dr. Saeb Erekat stated that a report appearing in Israeli media on “secret contacts” between Israeli and Palestinian officials is baseless. The report, based on an “off the record source” suggested that the Palestinian side would stop its steps at international organizations in return to Israel freezing its settlement activity.  

Dr. Erekat added that the Palestinian leadership is fully committed to its internationalization strategy and alluded to the documents submitted by the State of Palestine to the International Community last month. He added, further steps will follow in order to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for its violations of international law and Palestinian national and human rights.
