DAILY SITUATION REPORT

At 23:00, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint in the Wadi Hilweh area in the Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem, to search vehicles and check the identities of the citizens.
At dawn on 01/17/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Qatana, and stormed a number of houses.
1. At 12:30, the Israeli occupation forces positioned in the city of Jerusalem detained the citizen: Orabi Sadiq Ghaith.
2. At 16:30,the Israeli occupation forces positioned in Bab Al-Amoud area in Jerusalem detained the citizen: Nawaf Al-Salaymeh - a resident of Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem.
At 08:00, groups of extremist Israeli settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation police, stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and made provocative tours of its courtyards and facilities.
1. At dawn on 01/17/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Kober, and detained 2 citizens.

3. At dawn on 01/17/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Ni’lin, and detained a citizen.
4. At dawn on 01/17/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Silwad, and detained a number of houses.
1. The two detainees in the town of Kober are: Muhammad al-Barghouti and Jawdat al-Barghouti.
2. The two detainees in the village of Kafr Nima are: Ghassan Mofeed Abu Adi and Ibrahim Mazen Abu Adi.
3. The detainee in the town of Ni'lin is: Youssef Hassan Musa.
At 14:10, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint under the Jbara Bridge (on the Kafriyat road connecting the Tulkarm and Qalqilya governorates), to search vehicles and check the identities of citizens until 16:30.
At 16:15, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the Habla tunnel (the southern entrance to the city of Qalqilya), to search vehicles and check citizens' identities.
At 03:30, the Israeli occupation forces raided the city of Qalqilya, detained a citizen, and withdrew at 05:40.
The detainee in the city of Qalqilya is: Shadi Bassam Abed Abu Shareb.
At 04:40, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Beita, and detained a citizen.
1. At 15:45, the Israeli occupation forces detained the citizen: Jareh Hamdi Issa Maali - a resident of the town of Beita, while he was visiting the Israeli intelligence, based on a prior notification.
2. The detainee in the town of Beta is: Bahaa Taysir Dweikat.
1. At 19:15, a group of Israeli settlers, near the western entrance to the village of Burqa, attacked the house of Iyad Ragheb Salah and also Israeli Occupation forces intervened and fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens, while they were trying to confront the settlers, which led to the injury of a citizen and left a number of citizens suffocated as a result of inhaling tear gas.
2. At 19:45, a group of Israeli settlers was near the entrance to Sebastia village, and threw stones at two houses owned by citizens: Ahmed Mukhaimer and Bilal Omar. The villagers managed to confront the settlers and force them to leave the area.
At 19:40, the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the western entrance to the village of Burqa, fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens, while they were trying to confront a group of settlers while they attacked the house of the citizen: Iyad Ragheb Salah, and as a result injured a civilian and left a number of citizens suffocated due to inhalation of tear gas.
A unidentified civilian was injured during confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces near the western entrance to the village of Burqa.
On 01/16/2022, the Israeli occupation forces closed Nablus-Jenin Street (from the junction of the "Shavi Shomron" settlement to the entrance to Silat Al-Dhahr), in front of traffic.
At 14:30, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Qarawat Bani Hassan, to search vehicles and check the identities of citizens until 15:10.
At 14:15, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to the city of Jericho, to search vehicles and check citizens' identities until 16:05.
1. At 19:30, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint near the junction of the Nashash area (the southern entrance to Bethlehem), to search vehicles and check the identities of citizens until 20:30.
2. At 19:35, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the western entrance to the town of Beit Fajjar, to search vehicles and check citizens' identities until 20:30.
At 01:40,the Israeli occupation forces raided Aida camp in Bethlehem, stormed and searched a house, and withdrew at 03:00.
On the morning of 01/17/ 2022, the elderly citizen: Suleiman Al-Hathlin, 75 years old - a resident of Umm al-Khair village, east of Yatta town, died of serious injuries he sustained as a result of being run over by a military vehicle of the Israeli occupation forces (as mentioned in a report on 01.06. 2022).
• At 02:00 on 05/21/ 2021, the comprehensive ceasefire entered into force at the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
• On the morning of 07/30/ 2021, the Israeli occupation forces allowed the expansion of the marine fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 12 nautical miles.
* Beit Hanoun crossing - “Erez”: On 01/16/ 2022, it is partially open (for the passage of humanitarian cases, foreign journalists, workers of international humanitarian organizations, merchants, businessmen and travelers through the Al-Karama Crossing “Allenby” - previously coordinated for them).
* Al-Muntar-Karni crossing: closed since 02/03/2011, permanently and by a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Shejaiya Crossing - “Nahal Oz” for fuel: closed since 04. 01. 2010, by unilateral Israeli decision.
* Yasser Arafat International Airport: closed.
* Sofa crossing: closed.
* Kerem Shalom crossing - “Kerem Shalom”: on 01/16/ 2022 is partially open (for the entry of foodstuffs and goods, limited quantities of fuel and cooking gas, and building materials for the private sector and for internationally funded projects).
* Al-Awda- Rafah crossing: on 01/16/ 2022 is open in both directions (for citizens to leave and enter).
