DAILY SITUATION REPORT
08:00, 23rd January 2020 – 08:00, 24th January 2020
1. At 11:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Ram town and clashed with several residents.
2. On the evening of January 23rd 2020, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village and served a military order to demolish the home of Mohammad Abu Al-Hummus.
1. At 18:00, Israeli forces positioned at Al-Za'im military checkpoint detained Rani Arabi Al-Sharq.
2. At dawn on January 24th 2020, Israeli forces detained 15 residents {including a woman and 2 journalist}: Hanadi Al-Helwani {a resident of Wadi Al-Jawz neighborhood}, journalist - Abdul Karim Omar Darwish {a resident of Beit Hanina town}, Journalist - Amjad Taher Arafa {a resident of Ras al-Amud neighborhood}, Mohammed Nader al-Alami {a resident of Al-Sawana neighborhood}, Marwan Al-Rasheed {a resident of Ras al-Amud neighborhood}, Ahmed Hamad al-Joulani {a resident of the Old City of Jerusalem}, Ta Mar Khalafaoui {a resident of the Old City of Jerusalem}, Mohammed Ashour {a resident of al-Tur neighborhood}, Mohammed Hijazi {a resident of the Old City of Jerusalem}, Mohammed Jabari {a resident of the Old City of Jerusalem}, Mohammed Funda {a resident of the Old City of Jerusalem}, Bahgat al-Razem {a resident of the Old City of Jerusalem}, Hazem Al-Sharbati {a resident of Wadi Al-Jawz neighborhood}, Ahmed Fakhoury {a resident ofthe Old City of Jerusalem,} and Mohammed Al-Haslamoun {a resident of} Ras al-Amud neighborhood} in various neighborhoods located in Jerusalem city.
1.On January 23rd 2020, Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city issued orders banning 4 residents: Ibrahim Natshe -{6 months}, Munir Al Basti {4 months}, Mohamed Sharifa {4 months}, Ahmad Derbas {4 months} from entering Al-Aqsa mosque compound as a condition for their release after being detained at an earlier time.
2. On January 23rd 2020, Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city issued orders banning 3 residents: Rani Al-Rasheed, Mohammed Akram al-Basti and Nader Amjad Al-Basti from entering Al-Aqsa mosque compound as a condition for their release after being detained at an earlier time.
1.At 08:30,a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.
2.At dawn on January 24th 2020, Israeli Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and chased several worshipers and assaulted them then proceeded to fire rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several worshipers during dawn prayers.
3. At dawn on January 24th 2020, a group of Israeli settlers set fire to Sharfat mosque located in Beit Safafa village in south Jerusalem city and spray painted anti-arab and racist slogans on the mosque walls during which Israeli forces sealed off the mosque and prevented worshipers from entering the mosque.
1. At 11:30, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Al-Ram town.
2. At dawn on January 24th 2020, Israeli Police officers fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several worshipers as they stormed Al-Aqsa mosque during sawn prayers.
1. At 11:00, Israeli forces raided Silwad town and clashed with several residents.
2. At 02:30, Israeli forces raided Bir Ziet town ,detained a resident then withdrew at 04:25.
Israeli forces detained Onar Yusef Hushat in Bir Ziet town.
At 11:00, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Silwad town.
At 12:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Wadi Da'ouq area located near Arraba town then searched residents and vehicles.
At 10:50, Israeli forces raided Bardala village located in the North Jordan valley and served a military order for evacuating a plot of land and uprooting of Olive tress owned by Khaled Rushdi Sawafta, and issued a military order for halting cobstruction on a plot of land owned by: Mahmoud Faleh Rabie Rabaaa, under the pretext that they are located in Area C which is under Israeli Miliatry and Administrative control.
At 17:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Baqa Al-Sharqiya town junction then searched residents and vehicles.
1. At 12:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 12:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Izbit Al-Tabib village then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 20:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun town then searched residents and vehicles.
At 00:50, Israeli forces raided Azzun town.
At 12:50,A group of settlers from "Kadumim" settlement attempted to kidnap a child from Al-Jib village durimng which the childs father Jamal Ahmed Yamin , and a number of villagers confronted the settlers, and a number of settlers later gathered, and threw stones at several homes durimg which they withdrew under the protection of the Israeli military.
At 15:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Shavie Shamron" settlement then searched residents and vehicles.
1. At 15:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance Kafil Harris town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 17:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the north entranc eof Salfit city then searched residents and vehicles.
At 10:20,Israeli forces positioned at Za'tara junction military checkpoint detained Nadeem Mohammad Mahmoud {a National Security Force officer}.
At 21:20, Israeli forces closed the steel entrance gate of Kafil Harris town and impeded the free flow of traffic until reopening it at 22:20.
On January 23rd 2020, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land located in Kafr Al-Dik town near "Brughin" settlement and uprooted 15 Olive trees {beleived to be planted 80 years ago} owned by Yasser Ibrahim Ali Ahmad.
At 11:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Aqbat Hasna area {located along the main road leading to the west villages of Bethlehem district} then searched residents and vehicles until 12:35.
At 15:00, Israeli forces raided Husan village and opedned fire towards a vehicle {for allegedly not stoping}.
At 15:00, Israeli forces opened fire towards a vehcle {for allegedly not stopping} during their raid into Husan village.
1. At 12:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Hebron city and detained a resident.
2. At 18:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Hebron {located along bypass road 35 near Halhul town bridge} then searched residents and vehicles.
At 13:25, Israeli forces raided Burin town, served military orders to halt construction on 8 homes owned by: Atta Burgan, Mahmoud Burgan, Bashir Burgan, Asad Burqan, Nour Abdul Rahman Burgan, and Yacoub Burgan for allegedly being built with out a license because of their location in area C which is under Israeli Military and Administrative control.
Israeli forces positioned at a checkpoint located at the south entrance of Hebron city detained Ramadan Hawarin {a resident of Al-Thahriya town}.
• At 19:00 on August 26th 2019,The permanent and comprehensive cease-fire entered into force on the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, introduce humanitarian and relief assistance and reconstruction supplies, expand the fishing area for 6 miles, Up to 12 miles by the end of the current year, reducing the area of the buffer zone from 300 m to 100 m, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. The other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within one month of the cease-fire.
On the morning of 28 June 2019, the Israeli occupation forces allowed the expansion of the sea fishing area in the north of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip and up to 6 nautical miles from the port of Gaza and from the port of Gaza to the south of Rafah until 15 nautical miles.
•Israeli forces broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Gaza and Khan Yunis districts.
* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.
* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
At 08:30 on January 23rd 2020,,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Gaza city.
1. At 13:45 on January 23rd 2020,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Khan Yunis city.
2. At 19:45 on January 23rd 2020,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards Palestinian Gunmen sites in east Al-Qarara town located in east Khan Yunis city.
* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit and entry of residents.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entrance of Humanitarian aid, limited supplies of Diesel fuel and construction material for Internationally funded projects.
