Daily Report August 17, 2019

1. At 20:50, Israeli forces raided Al-Eizariya and Abu Dis towns, clashed with several residents and as a result injured 12 residents {including a Paramedic} and left 18 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
2. At 22:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village, clashed with several residents as they stormed a home then detained a resident.

Israeli forces detained Islam Yusef Obied {16 years old} in Al-Eisawiya village.

1. At 20:50, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Al-Eizariya and Abu Dis towns and as a result injured 12 residents {including a Paramedic} and left 18 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
2. At 22:00, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed a home during their raid into Al-Eisawiya village.

On August 16th 2019,Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Beit El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city is open to residents exiting from the cities of Ramallah and Al-Bireh from 10:00 until 23:00 daily, and is open for the entry of residents into the cities of Ramallah and Al-Bireh from 06:00 Until 22:00 daily and on Friday the checkpoint will be open from 07:00 until 23:00 and on Saturday will be open from both directions from 10:00 until 23:00.

At 18:30, Israeli forces positioned at Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Beit El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city detained Ayman Khalid Al-Hattu {a resident of Ramallah city}.

1. At 16:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Jayyous and Azzoun towns then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 16:05,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Kafr Laqif village then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 00:10,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Jit village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

At 14:00,Israeli forces positioned at the east entrance of Kafr Qaddum village {which is closed by the Israeli Military} fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents {protesting against the continued closure} for alleged stoning and as a result injured 2 residents and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

At 00:45,Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Huwara military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

1. At 17:30,, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Al-Muraba' area located near Tel village then searched residents and vehicles until 18:40.
2. At 18:25,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Beita town junction then searched residents and vehicles.

1. At 14:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Jiftlik village then searched residents and vehicles until 14:55.
2. At 14:35,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles until 15:30.
3. At 18:40,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along the main road in Al-Oja village then searched residents and vehicles until 19:25.

1. At 14:00 and again at 21:00,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Aqbat Hasna area {located along the main road leading to the west villages of Bethlehem district} then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 14:30,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Nashash area junction {located at the south entrance of Bethlehem city} then searched residents and vehicles.

At 19:20, Israeli forces positioned near "Kafr Etsiyon" settlement junction detained the child Yusef Thiyab Abdel-Rahim Al-Shweiky {17 years old}{a resident of Hebron city}.

At 14:20, Israeli forces positioned near "Ghosh Itsiyon" settlement opened fire towards a vehicle causing it to overturn and as a result killed the driver {after he allegedly attempted to run-over 2 Israeli settlers}.

1. At 17:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Al-Shiekh Ali Al-Baka neighborhood in the old city of Hebron then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 18:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Halhul town bridge then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 18:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Nabi Yunis area junction {located along the main road connecting Hebron and Bethlehem} then searched residents and vehicles.
4. At 19:15,, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Al-Asal village then searched residents and vehicles.

1. At 20:55, Israeli forces raided Beit Al-Roush village and detained a resident.
2. At 02:55, Israeli forces raided Beit Awwa town and detained 2 residents.

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

1. At 09:30 on August 16th 2019,Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town.
2. At 16:00 on August 16th 2019,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Jabaliya town during the march of return and as a result injured 25 resident and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
3. At 21:20 on August 16th 2019,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line launched tank artillery shells towards Palestinian gunmen locations in east Jabaliya town.

At 00:20 on August 17th 2019, Israeli aircraft launched 2 missiles towards Palestinian Gunmen sites in east Jabaliya town.

1. At 21:00 on August 16th 2019, a unidentified resident was injured after a missile launched from an Israeli Iron Dome Missile system landed in east Beit Hanoun town.
2. Israeli forces injured 25 unidentified residents during clashes in east Jabaliya town.

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

At 16:00 on August 16th 2019,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Gaza city during the march of return and as a result injured 5 residents and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

At 16:00 on August 16th 2019,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators near east Al- Buriej camp during the march of return and as a result injured 11 residents {including 1 resident critically injured} and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

At 00:30 on August 17th 2019,Israeli fighter Jet launched 3 missiles towards an open area in east Deir Al-Balah city.

1. At 10:00 on August 16th 2019,,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Khuz'a town located in east Khan Yunis city.
2. At 16:00 on August 16th 2019,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Khuza'a town located in east Khan Yunis city participating in the right of return march and as a result injured 9 residents {including a woman} and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed.

At 16:00 on August 16th 2019,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Rafah city participating in the right of return march and as a result injured 13 residents {including a resident who was critically injured and a child} and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
