Demonstrations

• On January 12th 2018,Mass rallies were launched in all cities and towns in all districts, rejecting the decision of the American president to declare Jerusalem as the "capital of the occupying state" and the transfer of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem. The participants in the marches stressed that the decision will not change the situation Which is protected by international resolutions and laws as an occupied Palestinian city, and that Jerusalem is the capital of the Palestinian people and its independent state.

JERUSALEM

Raid

1. At 09:15, Israeli forces raided Qutna village until 14:20.
2. At 15:20, Israeli forces raided Abu Dis town.

Attack

1. At 14:00, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Ram town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 15;30, Israeli forces positioned in Ras Kabsah area in Abu Dis town fired live ammunition, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured a resident and detained 4 residents.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured Mohammad Tallal Arikat during clashes in Ras Kabsah area in Abu Dis town.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 4 residents: Moussa Erekat, Shaukat El-Sheikh, Hamza Khatib and Mohammed Talal Erekat (injured) during clashes in Ras Kabsah area in Abu Dis town.

Deportation

On January 12th 2018, Israeli authorities issued an order banning Ameera Al-Haj Khalil {61 years old} from entering Al-Aqsa mosque compound for a period of 15 days as a term for her release from Israeli Police custody.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

At 22:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Ein Sinya village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 6:25, Israeli forces raided Beituniya town and detained 3 children.
2. At 01:25, Israeli forces raided Awarta town until 03:10.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Ahmad Adnan Al-Khadour 16 years, Jihad Al-Dahbour 16 years, and Mohammed Atef Al-Ghantous {16 years old} in Beituniya town.

Attack

1.At 12:35, Israeli forces positioned in Bil'in village fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
2. At 12:50, Israeli forces positioned near Budrous village fired rubber coated steel bullets,stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 2 residents and left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
3. At 12:50, Israeli forces positioned near "Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint near Bet El settlement in North Al-Bireh city fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets,stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 2 residents {including a child} and left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
4. At 12:50, Israeli forces positioned at "Pesagot" settlement located in east Al-Bireh city fired rubber coated steel bullets,stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
5. At 12:50, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Mughier village fired rubber coated steel bullets,stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured a resident.
6. At 12:50, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Janiyat village fired rubber coated steel bullets,stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
7. At 12:50, Israeli forces positioned at the wall gate located in south Al-Bireh city fired rubber coated steel bullets,stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
8. At 12:50, Israeli forces positioned near Safa village fired rubber coated steel bullets,stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Injuries

1. Israeli forces injured 2 residents: Ayad Ahmad Marra and Hassan Yusef Awwad during clashes near Budrous village.
2. Israeli forces injured 2 residents: Hassan Abdel-Raziq Al-Dadwat {16 years old} and Sa'ed Al-Taweel during clashes near "Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint near Bet El settlement in North Al-Bireh city.
3. Israeli forces injured Ahmad Abdallah Abu Aliya during calshes near Al-Mughier village.

JENIN

Raid

1. At 19:55, Israeli forces raided Ti'inik and Zubaba village and detained 2 residents {including a child} in Zubaba village.
2. At 00:35, Israeli forces raided Ya'bad town until 06:20.
3. At 00:50, Israeli forces raided Jaba' town and Bi'r Al-Basha, Al-Jarba , Al-Mansourat, Fahma, Sanour and Ajja villages.
4. At 01;10, Israeli forces raided Silat Al-Thaher town and Atarat village until 03:35.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 2 residents :Ahmad Mohammad Mahmoud Jaradat {17 years old} and Kamal Salim Mahmoud Jaradat in Zubaba village.

Temporary Detention

On January 12th 2018, Israeli forces positioned at the wall gate in Al-Arqa village temporarily detained Ahmad Saleem Atarat {13 years old}{A resident of Al-Tarm village} then released him at a later time.

TULKAREM

Raid

At 00:45, Israeli forces raided Quffin town until 06:40.

Attack

At 14:10, Israeli forces positioned at the wall gate in Quffin town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 01:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city then searched residents and vehicles.

Attack

1. At 12:30, Israeli forces positioned near the east entrance of Kafr Qaddum village {which is closed} fired rubber coated steel bullets,stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 15:15, Israeli forces positioned near Jayyous town fired rubber coated steel bullets,stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
3. At 15:50, Israeli forces positioned at the North entrance of Qalqiliya city fired rubber coated steel bullets,stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and detained a resident.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured Mohammad Jamil Jum'a during clashes near the east entrance of Kafr Qaddum village.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Hassan Tariq Ahmad Sabri during clashes near the crossing point in North Qalqiliya city.

Settlement Activities

At 19:45, Israeli settlers under the protection of the Israeli military paved a road on privately owned Palestinian land in Jit and tell village for the purpose of expanding "Ahavat Gilad" settlement.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

At 09:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Deir Sharaf village junction {located along the main road connecting Nablus and Tulkarem} then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 17:30, Israeli forces raided Assira Al-Shamailiya town and Taluza town.
2. At 18:10, Israeli forces raided Beit Furiq town, clashed with several residents as they stormed several homes,injured 2 residents and confiscated a water tank then withdrew at 20:10.
3. At 02:20, Israeli forces raided Deir Sharaf village until 03:30.
4. At 02:40, Israeli forces raided Nablus city until 03:40.

Attack

1. At 12:30, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Labban Al-Sharqiya village fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 6 residents.
2. At 12:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Beita town junction fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 5 residents {including a child} and detained 3 children.
3. At 13:30, Israeli forces positioned near Madma village fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
4. At 14:25, Israeli forces positioned at Beit Furiq Military checkpoint fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
5. At 18:10, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning. as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Beit Furiq town and as a result injured 4 residents.

Injuries

1. Israeli forces injured 6 unidentified residents during clashes near Al-Labban Al-Sharqiya village.
2. Israeli forces injured 5 residents including: Ali Hisham Dweikat {17 years old} and Omar Zitad Hillal Bani Shamasnah during clashes near Beita town junction.
3.Israeli forces injured 4 residents including: Erwa Ismail Ahmed Hanani, and Louay Emad Abdul Qader Hajj during clashes in Beit Furiq town.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Abdul Rahman Mohsen Melitat, Karam Nasr Maala, and Kamal Nasser Maala near Beita town junction.

Confiscation of Property

At 18:10, Israeli forces confiscated a water tank owned by Abdallah Kayed Hanini during their raid into Beit Furiq town.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Qarwat Bani Hassan town then searched residents and vehicles until 10:20.
2. At 19:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Arail" settlement then searched residents and vehicles.

Attack

1. At 14:00, Israeli forces positioned at the west entrance of Kafr Al-Dik town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 15:00,Israeli forces positioned near the North entrance of Salfit city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints

On the evening of January 12th 2018, Israeli forces closed Al-Hamra Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until reopening it at a later time.

Flying Checkpoints

At 21:100, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles until 22:20.

Attack

1. At 13:25, Israeli forces positioned near the south entrance of Jericho city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 15:40, Israeli forces positioned at the North entrance of Jericho city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

BETHLEHEM

Attack

1. At 12:35, Israeli forces positioned at the vicinity of Billal Bin Rabah mosque located in North Bethlehem city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured a resident and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation and detained 2 residents.
2. At 13:55, Israeli forces positioned near the west entrance of Teqou' town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured a child.
3. At 18:00, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Khader town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured a resident.

Injuries

1.Israeli forces injured 3 residents: Mustafa Ahmed Mahmoud Zaboun {Both are residents of Ayda camp in Bethlehem city} during clashes at the vicinity of Billal Bin Rabah mosque located in North Bethlehem city .
2. Israeli forces injured Faisal Yousef Khalil Mousa Al Shaer {16 years old} during clashes near the west entrance of Teqou' town.
3. Israeli forces injured a unidentified resident during clashes near the entrance of Al-Khader town.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Wissam Fadil Ahmad Hamdan and Hassan Faraj during clashes in the vicinity of Billal Bin Rabah mosque located in North Bethlehem city.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1 . At 11:40, Israeli forces set up 5 checkpoint at the entrances of Al-Samou' town, Al-Thahriya , Dura, Ithna towns and Al-Fuwar camp then searched residents and vehicles.
2 .At 16:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Jurat Bahlis area {at the North entrance of Hebron city} then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 12:40 and again at 00:55, Israeli forces raided Hebron city.
2. At 15:30,Israeli forces raided Halhul town until 17:50.
3. At 01:05, Israeli forces raided Sa'ir town and detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Alaa Kayed Al-Faroukh in Sa'ir town.

Attack

At 13:05, Israeli forces positioned near Bab Al-Zawiya area in Hebron city and near Halhul town bridge and at the entrance of Beit Ummar town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza stripe and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah.

•The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza, Gaza, Central Gaza, Khan Yunis and Rafah Districts and as a result injured 43 residents.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

1. At 14:00 on January 12th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators near Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing and as a result injured 3 residents.
2. At 14:00 on January 12th 2018,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators near east Jabaliya town and as a result injured 15 residents.

Injuries

1. Israeli forces injured 3 unidentified residents during clashes near Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing
2. Israeli forces injured 15 unidentified residents during clashes near east Jabaliya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

At 13:40 on January 12th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators near east Al-Shi'jaiya neighborhood located in east Gaza city and as a result injured 17 residents.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 17 unidentified residents during clashes near east Al-Shi'jaiya neighborhood located in east Gaza city.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 14:30 on January 12th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators near east Al-Buriej camp and detained 2 residents.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 2 unidentified residents during clashes near east Al-Buriej camp.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

1. At 14:20 on January 12th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators near east Khan Yunis city and as a result injured 6 residents.
2. At 17:45 on January 12th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Qarara town.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 6 unidentified residents during clashes near east Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed.
