WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Thori neighborhood in Jerusalem city then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

1. At 04:30 on August 6th 2017, Israeli forces detained Basil Dweik {A resident of Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city}.
2. At 17:00, Israeli forces detained Moath Idris after assaulting him in the old city of Jerusalem.
3. At 18:30, Israeli forces positioned at Al-Za'im Military checkpoint detained Ahmad Abu Al-Humous {A resident of Al-Eisawiya village}.
4. At dawn on August 7th 2017, Israeli forces detained 7 residents {including a child}: Sa'id Nijm {17 years old}, Abdallah Nijim, Miyada Shawmra, Tariq Zied Abu Maliya, Abdallah Badwan, Atef Badwan and Alaa Haddad in Wadi Al-Juz neighborhood in the old city of Jerusalem.

Temporary Detention

1. At 18:00, Israeli forces temporarily detained Imran Al-Rajabi {A Security Guard at Al-Aqsa mosque compound}{A resident of Jerusalem city} then released him at 18:40.
2. On August 6th 2017, Israeli Authorities sentenced 2 residents: Muneer Al-Basati and Mahmoud Al-Shawish to home arrest and fined them each 500 NIS.

Physical Assault

At 17:00, Israeli forces assaulted 2 residents: Moath Idris and Ahmad Idris near the African Community neighborhood in the old city of Jerusalem.

Attack

1. At 18:30, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning in Al-Eisawiya village.
2. At 21:10, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning in Al-Tur neighborhood in Jerusalem city.
3. At 21:30, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning in Silwan neighborhood inn Jerusalem city afters unidentified assailants hurled a fire bomb towards a Israeli Military vehicle

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 10:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 18:00, Israeli forces setup a checkpoint beneath Burqa village bridge then searched residents and vehicles until 21:00.
2. At 18:10, Israeli forces set up 2 checkpoints, in the area between Deir Dibwan town and Beitin village and another in the area between Deir Dibwan and Burqa village then searched residents and vehicles until 21:45.
3. At 24:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Sinjil town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 10:00, Israeli forces raided Abboud town, summoned 3 residents: Waleed Hussien Al-Barghouthi, Ibrahim Mahmoud Abdel-Majid and Mohammad Mahmoud Abdel-Majid to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
2. At 11:20, Israeli forces raided Al-Rihan neighborhood and detained a resident near Sky Land Amusement park

Detention

1. At 09:50, Israeli forces detained Mujahid Salah Aliyan {A resident of Al-Jalazoun camp} as he was reporting to Israeli Intelligence for questioning based on a prior summon.
2. Israeli forces detained Yusef Mohammad Ibrahim Jad Al-Haq {A resident of Al-Amari camp in Al-Bireh city} near Sky Land Amusement park in Al-Rihan city.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

At 15:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Hadad Al-Siyahiya village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Temporary Detention

At 22:30, Israeli forces temporarily detained Nassri Rashid Abdel-Rahman {A resident of Qabatiya town} near Hadad Al-Siyahiya village junction then released him at a later time.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 10:10, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at "Enav" Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 11:30.

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the entrance of Shufa village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 24:00, Israeli forces raided Beit Lid town until 00:50.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 22:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun Atma village then searched residents and vehicles until 23:30.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

At 23:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Sharaf village then searched residents and vehicles until 01:25.

Raid

1. At 23:10, Israeli forces raided the area between Beit Furiq town and Beit Dajjan village.
2. At 00:25, Israeli forces raided Nablus city as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed Joseph's Tomb during which they clashed with several residents and as a result left 2 residents hospitalized with contusions.

Detention

At 21:00, Israeli forces positioned in Jabal Al-Tur area in Nablus city detained Rami Sami Al-Kajan {A resident of Nablus city}.

Attack

At 00:25, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Nablus city as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed Joseph's Tomb and as a result injured 2 residents.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 2 residents: Nidal Jaber Abu Kishiq and Ameen Mohammad Betar during clashes in Nablus city.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Ballut town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 10:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Salfit city then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At dawn on August 7th 2017, Israeli forces raided Kafil Harris town and detained 2 residents.

Detention

1. On the morning of August 6th 2017, Israeli forces positioned at Za'tara checkpoint junction detained Jamil Mohammad Soliman {A resident of Kafr Al-Dik town}.
2. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Nour Abdel-Azziz Al-Assad and Mohammad Abdallah Musa in Kafil Harris town.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:00 and again at 15:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Beit Fajjar town, detained a resident athen searched residents and vehicles until 16:50.
2. At 15:15 and again at 01:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint beneath Al-Khader bridge {located along the main road leading to the west villages of Bethlehem} then searched residents and vehicles until 03:00.
3. At 20:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Dar Salah village bridge {located at the east entrance of Beit Sahur city} then searched residents and vehicles.
4. At 23:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Nashash area junction {located at the south entrance of Bethlehem city} then searched residents and vehicles until 23:55

Raid

1. At 09:00, Israeli forces raided Khirbeit Al-Deir village , occupied the home of Mohammad Ali Ismail and converted its rooftop into a military post then withdrew at 23:25.
2. At 11:55, Israeli forces raided Al-Walaja village until 15:20.
3. At 17:10, Israeli forces raided Billal Bin Rabah mosque located in North Bethlehem city and temporarily detained 3 children then released them at 18:25.
4. At 00:45, Israeli forces raided Al-Khader town, summoned Nader Issa Al-Khatib as he was reporting to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 03:30.
5. At 00:50, Israeli forces raided Beit Jallah city and Al-Doha town, stormed and searched several homes.
6. At 03:30, Israeli forces raided Teqou' town and detained 4 children.

Detention

1. Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint at the west entrance of Beit Fajjar town detained Jamal Thawabteh.
2. Israeli forces detained 4 residents: Mo'ayad Abdallah Mohammad Al-Amour {17 years old}, Muhiy Ahmad Al-Amour {17 years old}, Mo'men Ibrahim Suliman Al-Amour {15 years old} and Marwan Kamal Ahmad Al-Amour {17 years old}

House Occupation

At 09:00, Israeli forces occupied the home of Mohammad Ali Ismail and converted its rooftop into a military post during their raid into Khirbeit Al-Deir village then withdrew at 23:25.

Temporary Detention

At 17:10, Israeli forces temporarily detained 3 children: Mohammad Rami Owies {10 years old}, Abdel-Hameed Abu Sarour {10 years old} and Omar Ahmad Abu Sarour {10 years old} {All are residents of Ayda camp in Bethlehem city} during their raid into Billal Bin Rabah mosque located in North Bethlehem city then released them at 18:25.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:55 and again at 19:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Huwer area {located at the North entrance of Halhul town} then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 17:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Arub camp and detained 2 residents.
3. At 18:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Sa'ir town then searched residents and vehicles.
4. At 19:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Ummar town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At dawn on August 7th 2017, Israeli forces raided Sa'ir town and detained a resident.

Detention

1. Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint near the entrance of Al-Arub camp detained 2 residents: Mohammad Maher Mohammad Abu Sham'a and Mohammad Mahmoud Salim Jawabrah.
2. Israeli forces detained Bara Musa Kawaznah in Sa'ir town.

Closure of main Roads

At 22:40, Israeli forces closed the steel gate entrance located in south Al-Arub camp and impeded the free flow of traffic.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 3rd 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip.

•Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Injuries

At 16:30 on August 4th 2017, 3 residents { including a child}: Jasser Abu Tarabish {12 years old}, Mohammad Al-Daba' and Tamer Wahish were injured after Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents during demonstrations in east Jabaliaya town {As previously mentioned in the report of August 5th 2017}.

Detention

On the morning of August 6th 2017, Israeli forces detained a unidentified residents in west Beit Lahiya as he was attempting to climb the border fence into Israel.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

At 05:40 on August 6th 2017, Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Gaza city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.
