Daily Report January 16, 2017

1. At 08:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Biddu town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 15:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem city then searched residents and vehicles.

1. At 10:30, Israeli forces raided Bir Nabala town.
2. At 01:55, Israeli forces raided Abu Dis town until 06:00.

On the evening of January 15th 2017, Israeli forces positioned in Hush Abu Taya area in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

At 18:00, Israeli forces closed the North entrance of Hizma town with cement blocks.

At 09:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Beit Ur Al-Foqa village then searched residents and vehicles.

1. At 02:45, Israeli forces raided Al-Bireh city, detained 3 residents {including a PLC member} then withdrew at 06:00.
2. At 02:50, Israeli forces raided Bir Ziet town , stormed and searched 3 homes , detained a resident then withdrew at 06:00.

At 16:00, Israeli forces raided Qalqilya city, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 17:30.

At 19:55, Israeli forces raided Al-Oja village, temporarily detained 5 children: Hassan Mohammad Al-Ajjori, Sayef Al-Ajouri, Hani Bassil Arinat, Khaled Jihad Abu Radiya and Nadeem Azzam Abu Hadeed then released them at a later time.

1. At dawn on January 15th 2017, Israeli forces raided Husan village and detained 2 children.
2. At 21:55, Israeli forces raided Teqou' town, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 22:00.

Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Islam Mohammad Lafi Shushah {14 years old} and Aladdin Mohammad Lafi Shusha {15 years old} in Husan village.

At 15:00, a demonstration took place near Billal Bin Rabah mosque located in North Bethlehem city demanding Israeli Authorities released the corpse of Palestinians killed by Israeli Military forces during which Israeli soldiers fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents.

3. At 03:40, Israeli forces raided Al-Aroub camp, confiscated equipment after storming a steel mill owned by Ahmad Muneer Jawabrah then stormed and searched several homes.
4. At dawn on January 16th 2017, Israeli forces raided Beit Ummar town, stormed and searched several homes then detained a resident.

1. Israeli forces detained Hamzah Odah Al-Halayqa in Al-Shiyoukh town.
2. Israeli forces detained Ahmad Mohammad Al-Rajoub in Dura town.
3. Israeli forces detained Abdel-Nassar Abu Mariya in Beit Ummar town.

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.

At 08:10 on January 15th 2017, Israeli forces escorting Military Bulldozers stormed 50m into the vicinity of North east Al-Shukat town located in east Rafah city then opened fire as they levelled a plot of land and withdrew at 14:00.

At 10:30 on January 15th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line launched tank Artillery shells towards Palestinian gunmen located in east Rafah city.
