WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

*Since 24:00 on October 1st 2016, the Israeli Military imposed a full closure on all West Bank Districts for the "Jewish New Year" thus prevented residents and employees including those with valid entry permits from entering Jerusalem and Israel with the exception of Diplomats, Non-Governmental Organization members, Humanitarian and emergency medical cases until 24:00 on October 4th 2016.

JERUSALEM

Military Checkpoints

At 23:30, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Al-Za'im checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

At 20:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Issawiya village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 22:20, Israeli forces raided Al-Ram town until 01:00.
2. At 00:10, Israeli forces raided Anata town and clashed with several residents.
3. At 00:40, Israeli forces raided Al-Eizariya and Abu Dis towns until 06:00.

Detention

1. On October 3rd 2016, Israeli forces detained Haytham Majdi Awied {A Resident of Kafr Aqab village}.
2. On October 3rd 2016, Israeli forces detained Ibrahim Hassan Assaf {A resident of Qalandiya camp}.

Attack

1. At 12:40, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Quds University Campus in Abu Dis town fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 00:10, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Anata town.

House Demolition

On October 3rd 2016, Israeli forces stormed Al-Sa'aydeh neighborhood in the old city of Jerusalem and forced Samer Idakdek to demolish a section of his home { 2 rooms approximately 30 square meters} and fined him for allegedly not having a construction licence.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

1. At 08:30, Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers during which Israeli Police forces prevented maintenance construction workers from conducting rehabilitation and maintenance work inside the Dome of the Rock.
2. At 10:00, a group of Israeli settlers stormed the old city of Jerusalem and protested near a main gate entrance leading to Al-Aqsa mosque compound while performing Talmudic rituals.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Raid

1. At 01:30, Israeli forces raided Kafr Malik village, detained a resident then withdrew at 04:00.
2. At 02:50, Israeli forces raided Kobar village, clashed with several residents and summoned Khalid Abdel-Min'im Zibar to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 04:00.

Detention

1. On October 2nd 2016, Israeli forces positioned at Beit Ur Al-Tahta checkpoint detained Shihadeh Ayoub Mohammad Darwish.
2. Israeli forces detained Ahmad Abu Safiya in Kafr Malik village.

Attack

1. At 18:35, Israeli forces positioned near "Psagot" settlement located in east Al-Bireh city fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 02:50, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Kobar town.

JENIN

At 10:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Zubaba village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

1. At 19:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Bardala village located in the North Jordan valley then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 21:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Migola" settlement located in the North Jordan Valley then searched residents and vehicles.

TULKAREM

Flying Checkpoints

At 12:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along Al-Kafriyat road {which connects Tulkarem and Qalqilya districts} then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 18:15, Israeli forces raided Ramin village until 03:55.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 19:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Jayyous and Azzun towns then searched residents and vehicles until 20:10.
2. At 20:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Jit village junction then searched residents and vehicles until 22:05.
3. At 23:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Jinsafout village junction { located along the main road connecting Wadi Qana road and road connecting Qalqilya and Salfit districts} then searched residents and vehicles.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 18:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Furiq town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 19:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Yitshar" settlement junction located in North Huwara town then searched residents and vehicles until 21:30.
3. At 20:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Burin village then searched residents and vehicles until 22:00.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 21:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Qarwat Bani Hassan town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 24:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Kafil Harris town then searched residents and vehicles until 00:35.

Raid

At 24:00, Israeli forces raided Kafr Al-Dik town, stormed and searched 3 homes then withdrew at 03:45.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

At 22:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the north entrance of Jericho then searched residents and vehicles until 22:50.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 22:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Dar Salah village {located at the east entrance of Beit Sahour} then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 22:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Teqou' and temporarily detained Mohammad Saleem Abu Mifrih then released him at 22:35.
3. At 01:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Faradis town roundabout then searched residents and vehicle until 02:50.

Raid

1. At 21:20, Israeli forces raided Nihalin village and clashed with several residents.
2. At 01:05, Israeli forces raided Teqou' town.
3. At 01:55, Israeli forces raided Beit Fajjar town, stormed and searched several residents and summoned Diya Abdel-Rahman Al-Kar to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.

Temporary Detention

At 22:45, Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint at the west entrance of Teqou' and temporarily detained Mohammad Saleem Abu Mifrih then released him at 22:35.

Attack

1. At 18:20, Israeli forces positioned near Ayda camp in Bethlehem city fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning
2. At 21:20,Israeli forces red stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Nahalin town.

HEBRON

Raid

At 21:30, Israeli forces raided Yatta town.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

On October 3rd 2016, Israeli forces closed Al-Ibrahimi mosque compound in the old city of Hebron thus prevented worshipers from entering the mosque to conduct prayers in order to allow a group of Israeli settlers to perform Talmudic rituals inside the mosque to celebrate the "Jewish New Year".

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

* Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.

• The Israeli Military broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Gaza and Rafah Districts.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) is closed with the exception for the entry of emergency medical cases.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

At 07:30 on October 3rd 2016, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Shija’iya neighborhood located in east Gaza city.

CENTRAL GAZA

Detention

On October 3rd 2016, Israeli forces positioned near the boarder fence detained a unidentified resident near east Deir Al-Balah city as he attempted to climb the boarder fence into Israel.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
*Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed.

Attack

At 22:40 on October 3rd 2016, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Rafah city.
